We moved to Orlando 1year and half ago all the way from Japan!! Because my wife wanted to work at Disney, that's her dream! you know life is short. We love the weather and entertainment in FL😊 Looking forward more videos♪
Moving to Florida from North Dakota in April next year. The transfer process is a little lengthy for police officers but I’m excited to live in paradise!
I love your videos! We are moving to Orlando/Kissimmee florida no later than 11/2021🥳 We currently live in Delaware and I'm sick of it here. We need entertainment in our lives desperately! We have six children(two are grown) four are young(eight and under) and we look forward to living life with them. Summer is my favorite season and I know I will love Florida. I've been to Miami (2020) and loved it! Thank you for your wonderful content. We truly enjoy your videos. You've pushed my excitement to an all time high! I so can't wait! Thanks again🥰
My top reasons are weather, taxation and ability to enjoy life year round (beaches and theme parks). I live in NJ and it was 19 degrees this morning and I pay an absurd amount of state taxes (income and property).
My favorite RU-vid Florida bloggers , Y’all are awesome. My husband has asthma and he wants to move to Florida. Do any of you have asthma and moved down to Florida? I’m wondering if it will make his asthma better or worse! We are coming from Oklahoma.
@@briahawkins6176 what you do have to take into account is that their might be some allergens, like the pollen of some flowers trees .dust,in some enclosed areas lots of dust mites and their feces .
if you are from Michigan,Indiana,Ohio,Missiouri ,West Virginia, Pennsylvania,New York,New Jersey,Massachusetts or California ,move to Florida cause the option is much better than your state. Now which part of Florida is best to move to ? depending if you are on a budget or wealthy ? a professional ? younger or older ? If you are on a budget :Orlando, Pinellas county ;Dunedin, Clearwater, Estero, Fort Myers, the Florida Panhadle or Jacksonville.
We’re from Pennsylvania and so ready to move to Florida and rent with pool of course.we’re so tired of our snow and cold.I would wear shorts 12 months a year’s. Only with long sleeve in December.
So amazing love video 💕 I’m coming from Chicago by mid January so be happy to be with family long time coming. Great u can enjoy and adjust so quickly 💕 so much more excited thanks
You both went through such a glow up since your first month in Florida video. You both look great and so healthy! Hoping to move to Naples within the next 4 months with my boyfriend. Your videos are so entertaining and helpful keep it up!
I want to move to Florida when I’m older, the place I live in is too expensive and the area I’m in is dangerous because of it and the weather is way better than -40c during the winter.
You guys really hit all the great points for why I moved here. Hey, don't forget our Hockey teams! Lightning and Panthers are 2 great teams and fun to watch. (Lightning actually won the Stanley Cup). And yeah our beaches are second to none except for maybe Hawaii and that's a long swim lol. Also the Food, YES! Do you guys have Pollo Tropical over there? Sure beats Taco Bell haha.
Great video guys I'm counting down my 3-5 months for my transition move from Chicago to Florida. Just trying to make it through this last Chicago winter. Im in the phase of doing my research and contacting moving companies to get the quotes. The closer it gets the more excited I get to be able to enjoy the Florida weather on a daily basis.
Florida With Five Sure thing, thanks so much for putting these videos out, folks like yourself, Florida Suburban Dad and Eric Evolving have sure been so helpful with been able to taking some of the stress out. I'll be moving down by myself and although it can be exciting, but Im also nervous at the same time. But a good nervous.
ez2cyunvtee I’m exciting for finally deciding l wanna make the move I’ve always to do but l too will be doing it alone... exciting but scary. I have friends in different places of Florida though. Where are you going?
Joy Hutson Yes I do understand the hesitation, I've been pondering over it a while now so I decided to take the plunge. Im looking to relocate in the Orlando area.
My reason for moving there is for the weather. Also no state taxes and no personal property taxes. I do have some questions. In a previous video you stated that it cost about $500 to register your vehicle there. Is that just a one time fee to register it from one state to another? How much is license plate renewal there? Here in St. Louis, license plates are $36.00 for 2 years, driver's license is $10.00 but again, they rob us with $500 a year personal property taxes for just one car and also take state taxes out of our paychecks too. I also wonder how much weight the two of you have lost since you moved there. It's so noticeable when you look at the video you did after the first month compared to the video you did in mid January this year. Incredible! Love your videos.
Currently sitting in our living room in Wisconsin having my boyfriend watch your videos trying to convince him to move to Florida. Wish we were there already! ❄️☃️❄️
He finally AGREED TODAY!!!!! so excited. We will be "Florida with One" (expecting our first in august!) so I hope after this one, all of the babies will be born in Florida 😂 we saw you guys mentioned how construction is booming in Florida and that makes us so excited because my boyfriend is an operating engineer in the union here we're hoping to have him join the union in Florida! Do you have any knowledge on this branch of construction?
@@gretchyspice6799 how has it been??? Do they pay good for these union jobs in Florida? I want to get into the union and I am currently in Illinois. I’m only 17 but I’m starting to do research now.
@@moneygamer4308 we actually decided on Georgia and my boyfriend left the union because he makes better money installing gutter systems! Good luck to you good for you for doing your research!
We just moved to Flordia - Florida With Two. It's outrageously beautiful here. But I do miss my homestate up North. If it doesn't work out we'll move back to the wintery Midwest.
Love watching some of these older videos. It would be cool if you did a 2022/23 update, curious if your top 10 has changed. Side note I was dying when Lindsay broke Erik with the taco comment! 🤣
Thanks for sharing! Our big reason besides most of what you all said is......HEALTH. I am (Shannon) so immune compromised it is not even funny. When I am there I feel better, I do not get sick as often. I move a lot more, I have a vigor for life. I drop weight fast and that always helps. I have 13 autoimmune disorders. And I feel like I am home there, and safe. Kyle is the same way.
I'm so glad I found y'all channel!!I'm a single mom of 4 and I am planning to move across country to Florida. Y'all's videos definitely helping me with my decision, what I need to do, who I needa call, what to expect, etc. could y'all lease do another updtaed video of cost of living or how much to move.. I don't remember the name but I watched 2 videos with you writing down numbers and estimates for moving. Thank you! Keep up the great videos!!
To be honest I’m one of those families that are Disney heads... so we’re moving to the Magic as we call it!! But the beaches are just breath taking and I can’t wait
You had me at tacos!!!!! Yessssssss I'm sold I love tacos!!! Cant wait to move down from Allentown, Pa... just found ur channel and loveeeee you guys!!! Glad ur family is liking Florida
Heather Rodriguez I’ve been wanting to move from my home state of CT for years! Finally think I’m going to do it! Where do you think you are going to go? They had me at every reason!!!! Haha
@@joyhutson8488 I have been saying the same for about 14 years now and finally this year I will be taking that leap! I'm excited and scared all at the same time. I'm looking around so not 100% sure, I'm looking at daytona beach all the way to lakeland. I will be down in a few months to do some driving around and seeing where is the best fit for me and my family
Looking to get to the central area this year we are a family of 5 coming from md. Been sending out the resume (do hvac) had plenty phone interviews and setting up in person interviews as well. Only issue is the pay difference is sometimes 50% different then what currently making. But I know the works there. If any other advice would love the feedback. Good videos keep them coming. Enjoy!
Well be coming to Florida sooner then I expected! which is fine... but I've been trying to research schools and its literally killing me! and I don't know anyone in the area! ehh We will be going to the Pinellas County area with 2 boys one in kindergarten. Thank you guys for these videos!! I love them!
Thank you for your informative video! I wanted to moved to Florida since in my mid 30 now I’m in my 40 it’s about time ! Everything you guys mentioned about Florida it’s sounds so real ! Life it’s beautiful when your are wise about the past and prepare for the futur ! I’m so excited I’m moving anytime soon will work in a nursing field !!!🙏🏽😅💕💕💕💐💐💐🌺
I liked Florida from short trips during vocations. I also like the diversity. I am from Russia originally but lived in Illinois for longest time. Midwestern weather is not for my family, my kids get sick often during the winter time and therefore we are looking to move down there or place just like that. Thank you so much for good videos about family-kids-life in Florida. I found your videos were very helpful to make some decisions.
Thanks for this video!! Great intro!! First, diversity is my thing so when you said that I was instantly in love with you guys!!!!😂 My boyfriend and I are moving from Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale in September. Scared cause I've been at my job for 23 years and am not at retirement age BUT excited because I'm sick of this cold, great and brown city, and I'll be able to vlog more interesting content on my channel since there's so much to see there. What about Door Dash drivers? I do that here and it's a nice way to make money. I'm hoping there is ample opportunity for that there. I KNOW that God will help us along! Be blessed!!
@@FloridaWithFive awesome! For sure I will. May I ask what the status is in the city regarding the COVID-19 pandemic? Has it affected things there in a major way? We had planed another trip to Fort Lauderdale in May to check out housing, etc. but we are not sure how to proceed with all this going on.
Ok this is a really weird request, and I have no idea where to find it but the background sounds to your videos are AMAZING- the crickets, and cars driving by, ah it’s so calming. I sleep so well I’m Florida and I miss it so much.
I'm from New Jersey and want to move to Florida in a couple of years after I graduate college. I'm not a Jersey guy at all. I feel like I would be much comfortable and happy in Florida. Two things I hate about Jersey are the strict gun laws and awful winter weather.
My wife and I did the same thing you're wanting to do many years ago and moved to New Mexico. Grew up in South Jersey, went to Rutgers and wanted out so bad. It was the best decision of our lives. Do it bro!!!! I would also consider South Texas, it's awesome, so underrated.
I love listening to you guys! WE are moving from Maryland to Florida in 15 months. My daughter graduates from High School in 2021 so we are coming. Maryland is snow, ice or like now 17 days of constant rain. We are so ready. We were looking at Kissimmee and Orlando because we do not know where else to settle. We plan to buy within the year once we explore. I am lost on "how do we rent a house if we are not there?"
@@FloridaWithFive Both my husband and I are working remote so we will have the same jobs that we have now. So I am sure that I can get a letter from Payroll stating that I will be remote, and the company that my husband works for has a headquarters in Miami so he will have an address that he can put on the lease agreement. Thank you for getting to me!
Hello I love every thing about florida and the weather in florida and the tropical beach life and the wildlife Everglades and the no state income tax and Disney and Disney state resident discount and so so much more . also I can’t stand the cold snowy winters in New Jersey and the high Jersey tax’s and I have family in south E florida . I been to florida about 10 times in twenty years Can’t wait to move my family to florida
on sports .not just baseball, football,,but volleyball, tennnis, golf (Florida is a golfers paradise),cycling, jogging and not to forget the endless watersports: boating, waterskiing, parasailing, swimming, scuba diving,
I traveled all over the Caribbean and honestly Florida has the best beaches, and like you say the variety of beaches from St.Augustine in the Atlantic up the gulf to Pensacola..Apart from beaches many people do not know of the many springs and rivers inland.
@@FloridaWithFive the water in the fresh water springs of Florida is the purest (it is even bottled for drinking water) and so crystal clear. Are there alligators and snakes in the springs ?
My husband & I lived in WI early in our marriage & have moved all over US. Have lived in So Cal for 13 yrs. I'm over it! It is sooo expensive here. Thinking of moving to FL. Hoping it is cheaper!
Very nice channel, folks! I think everyone loves the state of Florida, and make sure me too. You are living in FL with your children, but you still got that accent from Midwest. Amazing accent and lovely family too!!!
We had a house in New Smyrna Beach my whole life, my dad sold it 8 years ago and it didn’t bother me so much until lately and I’m so sad . Love it there
my husband and I live in Oklahoma and we'd both really love to move to Florida someday. Its very boring here and the lack of beaches is really tough. we don't have a pool either. Its hard to be active in this state. the most intimidating thing for us is the cost of living being higher
I moved from Renton (King County, WA) to the Tampa area sort of on a whim after I graduated (I'm 27 atm). I can tell you its literally one of THE BEST DECISIONS I made. Granted I was originally from here, but I lived in WA for about 12 years. There's always something to do money or not. Food and Rent are so much more affordable (My apartment is about 2/3 the price of one in King County, and its BIGGER in a Nice near-0 crime area). I found a job within one month, and its a lot like living in a Vacation spot because you never have to travel far to have fun. Ask me anything if you have questions about cost and procedures!
Hey FW5 do a living in Florida cons video and with every con do a positive thing you guys think out weighs that con. Florida is not perfect we know but it sure beats snow. All I know is you guys have gone to the ocean more times than I have this year! Love the videos. :)
I'm a native Delawarean born and raised. Here in the Northeast the weather just sucks! I have always wanted to go to the Florida Keys. And after a 40+ year wait we made in April. I loved it and want to move permanently. You mentioned state taxes. We don't have sales tax. But do have state income tax. And Delaware is a very blue state and very liberal. I can't stand it here. So between the weather and the political atmosphere it's more than enough to get out of here. I'm medical military disability. Our parents are still here so we have to stay.
Lots of sharks at beaches in FL. However, many beaches are most beautiful in winter. Summer is a bummer. Lots of bugs to bite you that hide in your house, bed, clothing. Gators and snakes in yard and house sometimes.
Please do a video on the construction industry down there. I will be graduating in December of 2020 after 5 long years studying engineering tech. My degree will allow me to be a project manager. I’m nervous as can be about finding a job. I have a wife a 3 kids to support. Thanks, love your videos. SUBSCRIBED!!
One of the things that concerns me is the the housing market is so strong down there right now. I'm afraid of over paying for a house (renting is not an option). I've thought maybe I should wait, but when I'm tired of the taxes here and today it is cold! Not to mention no support network.
My reason is to be near my best friend and another friend, currently where I live I don't have much of a support network. I have spent a lot of time in Florida because my in-laws lived there, but unfortunately both passed in the last few years. Florida also feels like home.
Looking to move down, fam of 4 with a dog. 1 in high school, 1 in elementary school. We like W to SWFL, coming from Indianapolis. Where do you think is a good place to live?
Take a small educational vacation to a specific area (or 2), and do some math homework. I moved from WA, managed to pay off my moving debtsin a couple months and live life to the fullest. I live in a 900 Sq ft apartment with NO roommate, and everything you can imagine you need is less than 2 miles away.
@@Blaze6432 Yes that is one of the greatest advantages of Florida. Everything is co-located. One does NOT have to drive long on winding roads to go to the grocery or mall or movies or anything. Most everything is within 2 or 3 miles distance. And the roads are wide, clean and straight.
My family of 4 ( we have 2 boys, ages 8 and 6) may be moving to the Orlando area. My husband may be being transferred for work to Maitland. We LOVE Florida and have always said we want to live there. We're from the Midwest (St Louis) and HATE the cold!! But now that it's a reality, I'm just so nervous and apprehensive. All of our famikyyis in St Louis. I have a great teaching job and will be moving in to Administration soon, and the teacher pay in FL is soooo much less than here. How did your kids adjust? Our boys don't like the idea of leaving their friends, schools and grandparents. I already have guilty mom syndrome for taking that all away from them and we don't even know for sure if we're making the move yet.
My family wen to Ana Maria for probably 5 years in a row.we fel in love that place. And when my wife and I first got married we went to Disney almost every year in our marriage then until our first girl ..
Love your channel so much! So happy I found you! We have two boys 10 and 8 and have a similar situation...we live in vortex hell❄❄❄❄❄❄😪😪😪!!! So tired of missing out on life...stuck inside and just depressed and miserable😪😪. We are a very active family...boys love sports and very social..its been hell here in Oregon. We are long overdue to move! My question is whats the best place to move and raise a family? Did you do a video on that? Sounds like a job as a nurse won't be an issue..its just a matter of finding the right city and neighborhood. Do they sell manufactured homes there? Thankyou so much for doing these videos. So happy for you and your beautiful family! Life is so short...we want to make the most of our time with our boys while they're still young...our governor is a complete tyrant and has taken away their school, sports and friends..they are so depressed its awful!!! Any help and advice would be soooo appreciated!!! Thanks guys!! Back to binge watching your awesome channel😃🤣✌🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸!!!
Hi Rachel! Glad that you found us, and welcome to the family!!! We have not done a video on the best places in Florida to raise a family, but it is a great idea and one we will start researching! And yes, manufactured homes are popular in some areas! If you haven't yet, join our facebook group! It is a great way to ask questions to everyone, and get ahold of us! Take care!
so Florida is not just a place to go visit grandma, anymore, it is a place to raise families ? If you have kids ;I can see the advantage of the children having things to do indoors and outdoors all year around; instead of having them locked up all winter (couped up ,literally ) .Nice to rise kids close to the water. What are the best beach towns to move to to raise kids ? Dunedin ?
though the Florida Panhandle has great beaches :Panama City, Mexico,Fort Walton Beach, etc. @@FloridaWithFive I think Pinellas county is little more lively than Florida's Panhandle.Pinellas is close enough to the Tampa area, but more relaxed . How is Punta Gorda further south ? or the St .Augustine area ?
@@FloridaWithFive for a person who does not mind. a little more city. How is Broward county in S.E. Florida ? I would assume S.E. Florida has the mildest (warmest) weather of all Florida ?
