I would choose Singapore over Hong Kong bc it is more diverse and cosmopolitan. Plus the Chinese Communist Party now has full control over Hong Kong so human rights violations are an ethical concern compelling me to stay away from this city in CHINA

All these can be found in India itself, travelling abroad is overrated and it is Utter waste of time and money. If one can roam entire india then he/she would experience everything...
Exploring different culture, trying new food, meeting new people, just overall exploring a different side of the world, that's why people travel to different countries. No country is better or worse, it's about experiencing something different.
Why you are not able to visit hongkong ...if you have passport from Chandigarh , punjab, Hyderabad, Banglore ..95% of chances are there your visa will be rejected ...nothing is cheaper there ..even a third class hotel will cost you 30k per night , public transport is way costlier than even Europe
