Just spent the month of September up there. Here are some more reasons: 1) YK is one of very few North American cities that is a walking city. Yah people have cars but it’s amazing how many people walk or ride a bike to work and for chores year round, 2) fishing, 3) house boat bay 4) high rises- really surprising for a town of its size 5) wild bison for 300 km on the side of the road between ft Providence and YK. Can’t miss them. Always there.
@@hellokitty2848 no, I cannot recommend as I did not stay in one. There was a COVID outbreak and so there was no tourism. We actually needed to get the territorial government approval to visit and I think we were one of the first non essential non locals to be let in at the time and then another wave of COVID happened. The entire Quality Inn downtown was used as a COVID isolation complex for people with COVID. Another hotel was rented as low income housing due to absence of tourism at the time. Chateau Nova looked to be a big hotel. I understand that a lot of the Japanese tours stay there when tourism is booming. Try that.
I had a dream that I was in Yellowknife for some reason. As I like to travel, I decided to research Yellowknife. Now I want to go there more than ever. I wanna see the whole Arctic.
Same here! One of my dream is to aee Aurora Borealis. Good thing my sister will move there next month. Thank God! Where planning to go there next year December and spend Christmas! 🙏😊

Yellowknife is located only 400km south of the Arctic Circle, making it one of the best places in the world to witness the Northern Lights! Seasonably clear skies and the lack of surrounding light pollution further enhances the viewability of the Aurora Borealis from the Yellowknife area. This is a bucket list item! Great upload!👏😊
