When firing apkws at longer ranges ( greater then 3km or so) fire the rocket, count to say 5-8sec and then lase. You can get out to 4k+. When lasing from launch the rocket doesn't loft because it immediately follows the laser.
I like your vids, just stumbled upon the channel. Anyways, the Kiowa is a lot of fun. Once they fix the sound design with Echo 19, it’ll definitely be one of the high range modules. It took me a couple days and some slight curves to my cyclic roll and pitch to get the controls down. It’s nothing like the Hip or Hind. In those big super powerful choppers, you use (or can use) the collective and its torque outputs to help facilitate left and right turns laterally. With the Kiowa, that is not the case. If found that the collective basically stays where it is, most of the time. I can’t wait for the sound update.
Thanks sir, glad you are enjoying the content. Welcome to the channel. Yes, the sounds are possibly the only thing that could use improvement in the Kiowa right now. Otherwise I think it's a beast of a module. And yeah, collective stays where it is most of the time in flight. Unless you wish to go faster or slower in cruise. She's a lot nimbler than the big birds, but less twitchy than the Gazelle and OH6.
I have a problem with mapping the fuel booster switch. The left and right mouse buttons operate the switch normally, but a keyboard shortcut doesn't seem to work. With the keyboard, the switch will turn ON if the key is pressed but cycles back to OFF when released. Curious if you've experienced the same issue. Thanks.
I’ve made so many posts about this in the years prior about how excited I was and nobody else was 😂 everybody jumping on the bandwagon now that it’s out. Glad more people are becoming rotor heads now though.
Ive never flown a real Apache, maybe it really is like that, so cant say. I will say that Apache requires more attention to controls to get the most out of it. Kiowa is easier to fly out the box with basic Hotas.
I'm fairly close to an Apache IP and he says the FM is really out of whack with the real thing, it should be a lot less twitchy and more stable. ED seems to be sitting on making any FM fixes until they finish modeling all the avionics bays or something.
@@TacticalOnii talked to one apache cpg and he said he feels like the pedals are way to sensitive and it likes too occilate way too much.. the crabwalk is also over exaggerated by 2-3° and the aircraft feels unpredictable when moving collective or pedal.. Im really not exited to fly the apache myself anymore, it used to be my favorite and most flown module but since the last fm change about 10 months ago its just not fun to fly anymore... to me at least..
1) It is the newest module. 2) It is the newest module. 3) It is the newest module. and 4) It is the newest module... Yep. that is how it goes. When a new module is released, it becomes the fan favorite until something new comes out.
@@Adalla Some people want it quick and dirty. Personally, i like when people stay off-script. You can generally exctract more information, even if it's partitioned. You'll never please everyone, so stick to a format YOU like and fuck all the cry babies who just want to consume and not contribute.
