10 Reasons You Still Suck at Brawl Stars (How to fix it) 

Brief summary 1. Suggested to NOT go tick except for bounty or knockout 2. Dont insta-lock a brawler in Power League. 3. Dont run aimlessly into random matchups eg mortis to a shelly constantly. Know your matchups 4. Check your build of your brawler. Eg speed gear/vision gear in bushy map etc. 5. Know when to go passive or aggressive. Eg when you are low you go backward, not rushing 6. Never give up in a match, try your best till the end 7. Dont pass the ball to your teammate when they are attacking (super may be wasted) 8. Pass the ball next to your teammate instead of to them/ or pass the ball forward 9. Dont play for your kills (your KD), rather play for the win 10. Make your movement better, eg move more unpredictable

I think another mistake is not switching lanes, my teammates would rather go as Dyna vs Mortis than switch with me while I play a Shelly.

Pro tip 11: know what lane you should go based on the type of brawler you are playing. Rico is a lane brawler cause he needs the walls to bounce his shots, Gene is mid cause he has range and can heal this teammates, tanks are lane brawlers cause they need to take cover and pressure the enemy team, Max is mid cause her super is meant to be used with both teammates and she has mobility and damage. Don't go to the recommended lane if you have a bad matchup

The only balls my teammates know how to dribble is their own

I don’t think it’s about why you suck at brawl stars… It might just be a rant on what he dislikes

The thing that annoys me the most are people who have an easy goal and miss it because they want to trickshot

I don't know if anyone else has or currently does this but I used to be way too conservative with my gadgets. It would be so bad that I would have three gadgets left at the end of an OT brawl ball match. It took me over a year to stop doing it.

The one thing this game has been missing is tips and tricks videos on RU-vid, and finally somebody made one (at least conceptually). Just a suggestion. One thing I'd like to see is guides on aiming, dodging/positioning and team play. The more BS tips and tricks videos on YT, the better people get, the less bad randoms I have.

I've been playing brawl stars for 2 years and yesterday I was pushing spike mastery to silver 2 at around 600 trophies in brawl ball with randoms. I lost like 8 games in a row with randoms. Like at one point I thought I suck but one look at the end of game stats show my randoms dying like 5 times and doing like 5k damage. I got star player like 4 times with defeat.

For 8:55 the 8th reason just pass the ball NEXT to ur teammate so they can decide weather or not to grab it, don’t kick it to them directly!

GREAT video!! I hope people understand more with this how the game works! The lane thing was on point and I'd add: wanting to play as mid when you're clearly lane and the other way round. More impactful on gem grab.

Reason No.11: You don't watch SpenLC.

Reason 1: I don't pick tick outside of knockout or bounty are you kidding, I'm not dumb. Reason 2: I always look at the newest SpenLC's draft guides and pick who is the best. Reason 3: Bruh I'm not going into Shelly as a Frank for example. Reason 4: Wrong build... yeah you got me here, I simply don't have every gadget, starpower and gear yet. Reason 5: Bro of course I'm gonna go passive if my teammate dies (triggered) and go aggresive if both teammates are alive and full health. Reason 6: I never give up even if it's obvious we are gonna lose, but my teammates, especially in power league, some of them give up if we lose one game and in the second game, they stop playing and become bots (then I want to destroy every single atom in the universe). Reason 7: You don't even know HOW MANY TIMES this happened to me, the ball magically appears in my hands when I want to do crazy play with my super (then I want to bury myself and never go out ever again). Reason 8: Bro it's the objective of the gamemode, why would I do something else, why would I go for stats when they doesn't matter that much? Reason 9: I try to dodge as hard as I can, but when I'm tired I just can't move unpredictabley, also I don't have finger sleeves so that can also be an issue (?). I somehow missed one reason idk how anyways by this I guess I'm not a typical random.

I feel one of my biggest problems is that I aim like every brawler has a dash, like I always try to predict their dashes even when it's someone like Mr P or Poco. I be aiming for their future

I hate when people wait to score the ball in brawl ball and charge the opponents supers

That retreating one is such a big deal. So many times I'm focusing on my lane and all of a sudden I have 2 visitors in my teammates and we get wiped out together 😂. I always joked about people playing bounty in bb and didnt realize it was a bigger issue lol.

Is there any possibility of a Buster Rework, I know the buster apocalypse was a nigthmare for a lot of people but what if we just change the way of how to use Buster by changing his agressive role to a defensive one with some balance changes, specially Slow-Mo Replay because that's not how buster is supposed to work (as they said on the brawl talk he's a shield brawler) (I wish Spen see this)

its quite annoying playing with randoms these videos r quite helpful spen for the ones who are playing from long time and for the newer ones keep making these bangers mate

Being able to talk while also focusing on the game is actually impressive ngl spen goat, and I truly think people pass you the ball when you're finna use super on purpose it happens way too much to be accidental

The worst thing is when your teammates could get a kill with their super but they just hold on to it and end up dying themselves

THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING GOING TICK IN HOTZONE- even if you get star player and do a lot of damage, your teammates can't pinch and you can easily get pushed back. any time there's an enemy tick i run in a straight line and overwhelm the tick and that's a free lane

Could you please do a video on which brawlers should go where like lanes and against who. I feel like I never know. Also making a video on wiggling would be so good. I’ve kind of learned on my own how to do it but getting some advice would be great

I saw tick used on split in the June Monthly Finals, I feel on ladder Tick is one of the best brawlers to do damage quests with on non knockout and bounty modes

I believe people like going Health gear on Tick because of the synergy with Well Oiled, where you'll heal 2 seconds sooner while also healing 50% more so against certain brawlers, he can be effectively immortal.

It annoys me so much in gem grab when your random gets all the gems and the countdown starts and they don’t come back to spawn instead they sneak up in the grass trying to go for a last second team wipe and they get clapped and we lose

Only knowing how to play/only playing or leveling up few brawlers. For example, I have this guy in my club that likes to play aggressive brawlers like Darryl, Fang and Buzz, those are the only level 11 he has to play PL, CL or even ladder. I think you need to focus on getting a wider range of types of brawlers, so whatever you are trying to play at, you will have a good response for everything. Try to level up one or two sniper brawlers, two throwers, two control brawlers, upgrading a wider range so you don't get stuck as one archetype in every map and mode

You didn't mention about winning lanes, its so important to know your lanes and win them

Honestly all of these stuff are relatable it happens alot so hope to this viral so anyone can improve there play skill

Not playing the objective is definitely my biggest pet peeve... Especially in knockout/wipeout/bounty. When I get to the end screen and see both my teammates died like 5 times it's so frustrating. But another thing that bad randoms do is not checking the grass before going in. Shellys, Tanks and anyone with a good burst attack will camp and surprise attack you... Don't enter the grass if you can't see all three of your opponents/haven't checked the grass. This is how you get spawn trapped, people.

Another annoying thing is in Heist when the enemy is attacking your safe and we need to defend but my teammate goes attacking on to their safe

Tbh the only thing i suck at is aiming with low attack hitbox brawlers(colt, R-T, gray etc.), drafting(i get confused on last picks and double counter picks) and making great shots in brawl ball(i never try to trickshot because i know damn well i will miss)

I think the biggest mistakes for newer players is they don’t understand how the other brawlers work. If they don’t know how the others work, they don’t know how to counter and when to agro or fall back. When I first started I tried every character to understand how to go against them.

Another thing as well, and this more refers to knockout. If you're in 1v2 or 1v3 situation and you have your super and about to die, don't use it on the hopes that it'll magically take out all 3 of them. There are very specific situations when this can work, but more than likely, it won't. You've disadvantaged yourself, and now you're starting the next round with no super and fed the other team super. Stop using your super as you're dying! Save it for next round

you should play objective but that doesn't mean you go up for the ball and try to score every single time and you get taken out. only score when you can and only get damage on safe if your in a position where your in range of safe and you are not gonna get taken out in 2 seconds

Bro, my teammates losing lane and then dragging their lane over to my mid is the most irritating thing. It'll either end up in the entire team getting wiped or literally pushed back to spawn in like gem grab or sum'n Another personal peeve in Brawl Ball is when we have position and we're applying pressure then they just give up position and follow me back to get the ball like whyyyyy 🤧

Worst is in showdown when you're dead, and they just keep walking around next to bushes or they keep attacking others and end up dying. Randoms: know when to fucking stay put, and also don't walk away too often, try to stay together. Ive had when there was 2 teams left and we had 9 power cubes and my team mate thinks they're invincible and just attack without waiting for me and they die. L

The randoms im grouped up with, as soon as this happens they go to a corner and throw shots at nothing while continously spamming angry pins. Like why? We couldve won bruh

I think a major problem for me is when my wifi cuts out halfway through a game And then I get a message saying "hi stop rage quitting power league" 🤬 it REALLY bugs me

I think AFK'ing is one of the worst trends amongst randoms. Weirdly enough, when I get into a match without choosing a team, I almost never get an AFK enemy brawler, but almost 75% of the time I get the AFK team mate. I mean, for those who have bad internet, I'm just sorry, just close the app so the bot will take over and do something, at least. But I know about people who do this intentionally. Don't. Just don't. If you want to play, then play, don't drop an AFK on me just because you feel the matchup is unfair.

Here a tip don't always play class wars. For example on my experience on Power Play/Flaring Phoenix. The enemy team decided to pick power 11(aka all of them) Daryl, Poco, and Shelly(It's all known as med to close range class war.). My team first picked power 11 Penny, fourth power 11 Brock( Decent for not picking trowers but bad against tank/healer.) and fifth picked power 10 Tara(Me using support from beyond, black portal and damage gear.) Guess who won and how is the star player?🥁 Our team and the star player is me(4 kills). What happened is I play more mid to long range/sticking together. The enemy team stick together like close range bees. Which is a perfect opportunity me and Penny feeding are super. Oh there is one time Penny got a🍀 two kills retreated injured enemy with Trusty Spyglass gadget.😂

Tip 11: Don’t live in australia coz if you do you get crippling delay 90% of matches making it impossible to win lane or play aggressive at all.

another reason in why i think ppl are just still dog at this game is that they just dont have much game sense as well looking at replays i honestly feel when u look at a replay and see how u played from a 3v3 perspective and not u tunnel visioning on urself u can rly spot some mistakes or bad plays u make and u can correct urself in the future for them not saying u have to do it for every game but definelty ocasionally once a or twice here and there.

In the other day, I was with Dynamike vs 10 power cube Frank, I just went straight for him sending supers every time and killed him. I felt super strong, until his 10 power cube Edgar teammate jumped on me. Well, I almost had it all lol

THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST ANNOYING THING MY RANDUMBS DO: In Brawl Ball when my teammate has the ball and we are about to score, they trickshot it right after the enemy has respawned then the enemy just takes the ball away from you. This especially happens at high trophies when your teammate is Mortis. Comment down if you also experience this

Also, what was that Surge even doing with the ball? 😂 ALSO, we NEED an exit button in power league cause I swear I'm gonna throw my phone if my teammates don't stop picking - power 9s, dumb picks/bans and I'd actually prefer they leave the game and let the bot play. It's kind of bad to force matches with randoms (no way to play solo except showdown) and have no way to leave if you want to before the match starts and not lose elo. Along with having a low ceiling for entry (low trophies & power level) in competitive matches (where you want maxed OP brawlers), not being able to ban bad randoms is bad enough to put me off the game everytime.
