One of the best, most useful, and concise lessons ive ever been blessed to come across in my many years of ableton. Been using it since ver 3, still learning new things everyday. Nice work sir!!!
In your first example, you’re sending each drum track to a different return track - not the reverb track - which doesn’t illustrate the point you’re trying to make about applying a single effect in varying amounts
How come you dont have any latency when singigb into the mic with effects etc? Or do you have latency but it's so low? What buffer size and what interface are you using?
awesome tips ! That feedback loop is amazing I just tried it out and it adds an insane amount of depth and movement. For the track bleeding, would you recommend using it for mixing electronic music or is it just a cool trick to try out and see how it sounds?
This video is incredible. I saw the promo on TikTok last night but waited until I was in the studio today to watch and I am so glad I did. Not only are each one of these use cases 100% applicable, all the little side pieces of knowledge you throw in there along the way are absolutely brilliant. Bravo sir.
People already posted out the send issue in example one. Example 2. That’s not multiband compression. That’s 3 compressors in serial with an eq. Unless I’m missing the frequency separator and assigner before these. Not trying to hate. Good content and intentions. It’s just critical in the learning process to make sure we are guiding people correctly, brother.
May I ask how you separated the bands for the multiband compression? I Don't see any frequency separation. Thanks for any hint how this works. Great tipps btw. Thanks.
Can you comment on the music theory (or origin, if there is one other than yourself) behind those chords you played during the Cross Routing section? I really like them, and I don't know how to identify / explain them
Great tips ,yeudah thank you, I also use sends to save on processing on heavy projects but some of those ideas open some crazy creative opportunities so toda,
Hey, nice vidéo ! I noticed you made your eq eight dynamic when you sing in the looping part, do you have a tutorial on how to make that? If not, that would be very interesting
Not only all the new things i learned here to apply to my projects but also your voice both blew my head 🤯 Great ways to use the return channels which most of the times i don't even use. Thanks a lot, great content as always🤟
Wow. Just, wow Normally I do playback speed at 1.25 or 1.5 because pacing generally for RU-vid tuts = slow & wordy af Your tutorial = v. much an exception. I wish my brain could take it all in at playback speed = .75. Mind blown. I'm seriously having trouble picking up what you're putting down because we're talking God-tier fu, never seen before I'm committed to replaying this tutorial until I've internalized it all. Wish me luck!
@@SideBrain sorry to be a pain but do you know which ableton pack has the hybrid reverb plugin? I have live 11 and it is not in there by default for mine. I am having trouble finding it.
