Tbh I don't understand the point of them. Kinda forces you to spend money for the ability to play online if you want to 100% it completely and forces you to spend a ridiculous amount of time and frustration to do it. I think they should remove them unless the game is solely online if I'm honest.
The Dedication trophy in Crysis 2 is now impossible to get because of the server shutdowns. It required you to play a full online match 6 months after your first match. That should be a new video; games that no longer have servers and trophies are permalocked.
@@maximuscamour8683 true but to be fair they do cover the same general topics and with the countless games it never hurts to touch the same topic with a whole list of different games.
There's plenty of those videos. Usually they're called achievements/trophies that are now impossible to get. Or you can no longer get. Something along those lines
Bro MK11 is an incredible game, congrats for making 94%, try to get platinum. Im planning to get platinum on every "Sony" game that I have, like Shadow of The Colossus, GOW, Uncharted, TLOU, etc
@@Angelo-zn7ks same, currently I’m trying to 100% mgsv phantom pain, the only ones I got so far minus dlc so far was Spider-Man ps4. One of the challenges was get 64 hits I think without getting punched or shot, it took forever because you can’t have the combo break.
The trophy in Killzone 2 where you had to rank among the top 1% of online players for a full month was brutal. I got top 3% once and I literally played every single day. I gave up.
I actually got that trophy when I maimed the game. I got some of the lower valor trophies just by playing normally, so I realized if I just added an extra hour of playtime every day for the week I would probably get it.
This. Especially when they shut the server down, like in no. 1. TBF I have no problem with them doing that if the game is old and/or has insufficient players to justify keeping the server running. But yes, online trophies/awards/achievements etc. are a massive WOFT. Case in point - the BMW M3 GTS on Drive Club. Damn fine ride, but now impossible to get, because it's an online achievement & the server has been shut down for years...
I'm not a trophy hunter but will try to 100% games I adore. The second I fell in love with Assassins Creed Black Flag early on in the game I checked to see what trophies it has and was super unhappy when I realized some of them were online only and/or multiplayer. Welp, never going to get those.
The achievement “Worthy of Legend” in Devil May Cry 5. It requires you to get an S rank on all levels, on all difficulties. (except heaven or hell) The amount of time that you need to put in to practice some of the more challenging difficulties, or even just Bloody Palace, is absurd. You even have to S rank the campaign without taking ANY damage on the difficulty Hell and Hell.
As someone who’s finally playing DMC5 and likes to try to 100% trophies, that makes me wince in pain. I’m only just good enough at spectacle fighters like DMC, and no way I’ll be able to S rank all this stages on hard mode alone.
Ghostwire Tokyo has some that are absolutely *HELL* to go for: - Hero of Shibuya; This requires you to get all the spirits in the game **before** beating the main story. You can finish ch4 and then you need to focus on it. Doesn't sound too bad until you realize that 15k of the 230k spirits are in the Hyakki Yako, which the game never tells you is an actual fight encounter (in fact makes it sound like you need to run from it). On top of it, the Hyakki Yako is extremely RNG dependent on when it spawns. Even with set spawning locations. Took me like 6 hours of farming to get it done. 8.0% have got the trophy. - Gourmand; "Acquire all types of food and drink" sounds really easy until you realize that a solid third are only obtainable from the grocery bags, again RNG dependent. Took me 3 hours of SRing in front of a bag to get it to give me the food item I needed. 8.5% have got the trophy. - Don't Worry About It; This is just a stupid stupid stupid RNG dependent trophy that requires you to get a 1% chance roll for an omikuji that drops you to one health. Took me ***FOREVER*** to get while SRing. Apparently a bunch of people got (un?)lucky with this one bc 9.6% have the trophy. Platinum is currently sitting at 6.6% of players that have the trophy.
Oh God, yeah, that stupid spirit parade. Yep I didn't realize it was actually a fight until after I did everything else in the game and realized I was missing a bunch of spirits. Absolute nightmare of a trophy, just running back and forth for hours waiting for it to spawn.
Super easy plat in my opinion looool. But to each his own I guess. The worst plat I got was GTA5 and I didn’t even feel good when I got it. I spent a full week just getting all collectibles, gold for all missions, spent a total of 600 hours on it (I did waste a lot of time online I’ll admit)
I feel like they should do the same thing Mass Effect 3 did, online trophies can be done easily online but you can do something offline to get them too, is usually time consuming but the option is there.
Not a PlayStation trophy or a Xbox achievement, but a big achievement none the less. What about acquiring a max cape in Old School RuneScape? 2000 or more hours…
The Long Dark is a survival game with a Trophy that requires you to survive 500 days in one run. A day can take anywhere from 3-5 real time minutes (just passing the time standing around, eating and drinking) to upwards of an hour in real time. You can play on the easiest difficulty where wildlife doesn't attack you unless provoked and the weather is pretty forgiving, but any minor slip up in a bad spot with the wrong equipment on hand can make it so you have minutes to find shelter/food. Doesn't help that as the days roll by the world gets harsher with worsening weather and dwindling food supplies. Limited weapon spawns, difficult ammo crafting requirements, and the chance that you simply just might not find anything to eat/start a fire with on any given day in the late game can make you waste hundreds of hours. And when you die, the game deletes that save. You can copy your save data to an external, but depending on how frequently you do that, it can cost you hours. The trophy is basically surviving for a long time with a tiny but ever present chance of complete failure.
Im a achievement hunter but at the same rate if an achievement is above my skill level like time trials i let it go i rather have fun collecting other achievements than get annoyed at one. Hardest achievements i tend to do is hard difficulty or 100 percenting a game.
Always thought that completely filling out every character's sphere grid in Final Fantasy X, which require hours and hours in the monster arena fighting the same enemy repeatedly, was the most tedious grind and simply not worth doing. Esp after finally defeating Penance.
I'd put Diablo 2 Resurrected on the list too - many hundreds of hours of grinding every character class, and getting to level 99 in hardcore is absolutely insane
So I know that in Dark Souls 3, some of the covenant items are easily obtained online, but I’m a different breed of human and decided to farm all of them offline instead. Pretty sure you need 30 of each one. Wolfblood sword grass and pale tongues can be farmed simultaneously near the Abyss Watchers fight if you feel like killing hundreds of dark wraiths and poison dreadlocks dudes. Human Dregs and proof of a concord kept can be farmed simultaneously from deacons and silver knights after Pontiff Sully. POCKs took way longer than HDs and together they took several hours. And by several I mean more than that. I still have PTSD from sunlight medals which have to be farmed from super knight dudes close to the Dancer’s room. Soooo many hours for just 30. I tried farming vertebrae shackles from glowing eyes ninja skelly dudes in the catacombs near the skelly ball bonfire but after like an hour I only received one single shackle and said fuck it. I’ll forever be twenty something VSs away from that sweet platinum.
I didn't even decide to do it, I just didn't have internet. Got through all 3 games like that though. Practically existed at the fire keep belfry area.
@@meatwagonx33 it's basically impossible to get summoned as a blue in ds3 depending on where you live, by the time I tried getting it online was too dead, would've taken 100+ easily just to get summoned enough
It really makes you appreciate games like Yakuza where yes the achievements are hard, especially the minigames, but in the meantime you are mastering everything the game has to offer rather than just playing the game for 300 hours.
Out of all of these the rayman one is kinda neat. You dont have to grind some bullshit for 500 hours, its just, "if you like this game play 1 match a day and you get a cool achivement"
Any of the “Seriously” achievements from Gears of War, the first wasn’t so bad, like ten thousand kills across all game modes, but the second was 100,000, and it just got worse as the games released.
@@MrDoggson i did brumak farming, and played horde alot, got close a few times, also close to max lvl, but they kept resetting everybody because people were using exploits so they reset a few times and i just eventually gave up, add that to the fact you could force host and just clean house, yeah that crap got old.
Online trophies are the worst. I try to stay as far away from games that have online trophies just to get the platinum. The online community is just toxic and too much childish name calling.
One that’s proving to be a huge pain in the ass for me currently is: The outside world must be a hundred times bigger than inside the Walls! - Reached 100% gallery completion in Attack on Titan 2. This will take about 3 playthroughs, maxing out friendship (level 10) with 38 different characters, purchasing and upgrading each and every piece of equipment (some that can only be obtained through Inferno mode), and slaying/capturing about 500 different versions of Titans (this includes Dire Eliminations and Scouting side missions).
@@MikaiGamer1286 500 might be a little exaggerated…it’s more like 200, but you’ve got to slay at least one of each type to fill it’s spot in the Gallery. A lot might look the same but there’s multiple of each face type. There’s a normal category as well as an abnormal category for each of the following: 3meter, 5meter, fat, slender, muscular, then there’s also the bizarre ones - which are different colored versions of the Beast, Ymir, Female and Armored titans, about 5-6 of each, these also include the Dire Eliminations that are part of the endgame content when you replay every single story mission and meet certain criteria to make them spawn in.
Excellent compilation as always Gameranx! I am a trophy/achievement hunter and am proud/ashamed to say that I have reached the highest level of awesomeness on Rayman Legends on my Xbox account and it was totally, totally NOT worth it! 🤣
100% in story Mode for rdr2 took my an unholy time. The stuff you need to find is just outrageous but somehow I managed it. There is no trophy I tried so hard for
Noel.. I hear you, I'm currently on with this quest.. I'm at 97.9% and its taken forever to get this far, I'm a bit pissed that my O'driscoll Boys is stuck at 88% - And now I'm playing as John I can't find the remaining 12% of them.. I hope it doesn't affect my aim of 100%.. Update (Spoiler warning!) . Done it. 100% completion.. I got my fancy Legend Of The East outfit and Best In The West Trophy, had to use a get drunk glitch to get back to Guarma to get from 559/560 to 560 all animals found, no way was I leaving it unfinished after it took me so damn long to get 100% completion..I won't spoil it for anyone but it has a nice little end sequence.. Best game I've played ever (so far) and my last best one was Ghost Of Tsushima.
I actually got the platinum trophy for Rayman Legends and it truly was a painful experience, by my math it took around 3 months indeed, there was nothing else to do in the game so I just kept playing theses daily and weekly missions over and over, sometimes keeping my online friends on hold just not to miss a day of grind, it really tought me a powerful lesson and now I think twice before deciding do go for platinum haha
I platinum on ps4 and ps3, about to do the vita version but I heard they challenge super hard because not many players play that version but decided not to
Another trophy which people will no doubt bring up: K-Driven. Which asks you to cover a very large distance with your K-Drive (a hoverboard introduced in the Fortuna update and inly usable in the game's open worlds or 'landscapes').
@@fisho3139 If you have a custom board, you can find all the races in Orb Vallis. Doing all of them gives you lots of standing int hte Ventkids and I think even another trophy.
My most recent, crazy-long trophy was Dying Light 2's Ultramarathon. You have to travel 960km. First off, there's no indication what counts as traveling. Just running? Falling? Using your glider? Zip-lining? When I was looking stuff up to see if there was any trick to it, people disagreed, with some saying everything counted and some saying only running on the ground did, but there's no way to tell in-game. There's also no tracker in your stats to see how far you've gone, nothing. You just have to go until the trophy pops. So I finished the entire campaign, including all the traveling over the whole map and revisiting places collecting every note, every graffiti tag, every audio log, etc. (including just wandering around for a long time for another incredibly tedious trophy where you had to save 50 people during random world events, but only some of the events had people to save, while the rest were just ambushes or stumbling onto a guarded chest or whatever), and it still hadn't popped after 59 hours. So I had to leave my console on with the controller rubber-banded so I ran in a circle in a safe zone for ... 42 more hours. That's almost two days of constant running AFTER doing literally all the actual content in the game to get that trophy, for a total of 101 hours to get that trophy (and it would be MUCH longer if you did it "legit" and did a new game plus or something and just got it as you played). It was infuriating. I might not have tried for the platinum if I had known about that one beforehand, but by the time I realized how dumb it would be, I was only a couple trophies away so I just left my console running. Ridiculous.
I've played through the game maybe 5 times now counting my buddies and I use the paraglider quite often and I still don't have it, I honestly thought that it was just glitched out so I'd never get it 😅
Panzer Dragoon is amazing, I've played it on multiple generations of console. I don't think I have 15 total hours in it through my lifetime. It was a rental as a kiddo and I finished it first weekend. Lovely game, music and visuals. If you haven't already played it, do it NOW!!!! lol
Im so proud of obtaining Personal Decorator trophy in COD BO3 in a legit way... when I see this video and this is included in that list., i remembered the hardships and frustration completing the campaign in realistic mode.. Good thing that I always using drakon sniper riffle with a special scope that can see through the walls.. it is really frustrated and fun at the same time
I'm surprised that the "Dead God" achievement from binding of isaac hasn't made these lists. Takes forever and you need to get it on all three separate save files for an Easter Egg
I recently got the plat for Dying Light 2, it's nothing like the trophies mentionrd in the video, of course. But holy shit, the Ultramarathon trophy (requires you to run 960km) almost drove me nuts. I kept rubberbanding the controller everyday for like 3 weeks until I finally got it.
@@thewhitewolf58 Not really. All quests a d trophies took me about 120 hours, but of course, there are several options that differ along the way, resulting in the same ending, basically. 500 hours is a little bit over the top.
@@raphaelsouza6665 yeah i can do 120 hours thankyou so much. 500 hours is saved for a deep rpg like skyrim or such not zombie roof running simulator 2.

Ngl, I really expected the "Explorer" trophy from Mafia 2's DLC to be on here. I mean hell, everybody who played Mafia 2 knows how small the map is, so for them to ask you to drive 1000 miles in game is just insane. Now, I'm one stubborn dude and I mean really stubborn, but man, even I gave in, glitched my way through the map and collected miles that way. Trophies like that just aren't fun, especially in such a mid, boring expension of such a classic, beautiful game
Doesn’t actually take that long to do legit. It’s actually a lot quicker than the glitch too. Just stick some music on and zone out lol I’ve done it twice for pc and ps3
Worthy of Legend - Devil May Cry V Card Collector - Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Exalted Reputation - Code Vein - The reason why I won't even bother with the platinum. Everything else would be doable.
Some of these are purely ridiculous. I won't EVER attempt to do this. Plus I hate the fact that some games have online trophies combined with the offline one's. It just grinds my gears
In Monster Hunter World, there is 6 achievements that require you to hunt or capture an exceptionally small and an exceptionally large monster for almost every monster in the base game and the DLC, and a gold mini or a large crown will be award if you manage to hunt or capture one. there is a total of 94 monsters in the game, i'm unsure on how many actually grant crowns, but this is ridiculously RNG based and if you don't have a plan or know any tricks to increase your chances of finding one, it could take 1000s of hours to achieve on top of how difficult certain monsters are. I myself attempted this, and looked up all the tricks that i could do, and i have 728hrs of gameplay, most of that being for these achievements, i managed to only get all large monsters for the base game, and most mini monsters base game, before i decide i'm tapped out on it.
Ah these trophies! Some Elder Dragons don't count for the trophy. Luckily Capcom added event quests that boost the chances of getting the crowns for most of the monsters, others you just had to grind and pray to RNGesus. Took me over 1000hrs to get them all, but I got them all. Although I must confess, I tend to go into deranged rants whenever Gold Rathian is brought up, my most hunted monster not because I like her fight but because of that DAMN GIANT GOLD CROWN. If you ever get hit by a bout of insanity (as I like to call going for trophies that are incredibly time consuming and RNG based (guilty as charged btw)) and decide to try it again, I wish you the best of luck
As someone who got the Black Ops 3 Platinum, it is incredibly difficult and also tedious, getting all camos in campaign as well. And the Fortnite Platinum was just plain tedious.
For that Black Ops 3 trophy, yeah it's tedious, but my friend and I discovered a spot to grind those camos. Hypocenter, just before you open the doors and the water comes in or just after you throw nades in that tower thing, all the robots spawn non-stop, so you can literally farm them areas, it made everything so much easier. 🤌
It’s not hard at all. Just boring. Even on Rise and Fall for the camos/calling cards it was fucking boring because of that slow arse walk at the start. Literally just carried my mate through his realism run in about 7/8 hours total.
Thankyou for all the time and effort you guys put into giving us daily videos to watch. I'm a daily, long term viewer and absolutely love your videos. Please, please never stop giving us this RU-vid gold. [ Jake is my favourite but your ok to I suppose. 😆 ]
The ,,Ultimate Driver” from Gran Turismo Sport arguably deserves a spot on this list. To get it you have to reach Level 50 in the game. That may seem simple at first but there are so many players in that game who have 1k hours in that game but haven’t unlocked that trophy. It doesn’t help that the developers patched every XP-Exploit or good farming method as soon as they were discovered.
Literally just started playing Panzer Dragoon just this morning!! I completed 2 out of the 7 story levels so far on normal. Can't wait to get destroyed on hard!
One not on the list; The "Experience 1001 days and nights" in City's Skylines. It takes way over 100 hrs. and thats only if you remember to turn the day/ night cycle on.
I have all Rayman Legends' trophies. For this one, I had to get the gold on the 4 challenges for around 3 months. I made a plot to track my progression like a real nerd! 😅 It was actually really fun to play around one hour per day to finish this last trophy. Rayman Legends is in my top 10 for sure!
Skater XL around the world trophy would be worse than the grid around the world trophy to do legit. Even with the rubber band method it takes 300+ hours. Luckily there's a glitch that you can do out the map and do it in 2 hours.
I watch this channel everyday and I've watched it so much that just by the titles of the video I can figure out if it'll be Jake or Falcon. This is definitely a Falcon type list but love em both!
THANK YOU!!! I feel so validated for the Rayman Legends Platinum. I stuck with easy golds and it literally took me every day for 3 to 6 months, I can't remember now, but it dropped my rating of it from a 10 to a 7.
@@katanafourzeronine YOU DID IT TWICE!? That is unreal! lol but doesn't it drop the game's overall score with you? It was a damn near perfect game that they made me resent.
Can vouch for GRID being a massive pain, and when it first came out, there was no tracker for your distance travelled, so you had to guess at how close you were!
The issue with the Black ops 3 achievement is not anything described in the video, but rather there is a grind that requires killing hundreds of enemies with every weapon, including RPGs that lock on only on certain rare enemies. The hella boring grind is the real issue of the achievement.
Great video, the amount of research and playing time you guys put into these videos is incredible. Especially because the amount of playing time for these trophies is insane.
The vid is inaccurate about the availability of the Rayman Legends' Truly Awesome achievement/trophy. Leaderboards are still available for PS4/PS5, Switch, and Xbox One/Series-X. Services ended for the PC September 2020 and will end for PS3, 360, and WiiU September 2022.
The Star Ocean Plat took me around 800 hrs, two lives, my first born and a lot of energy drink infusions. Wasn't sure what year we had after finishing it. 😩
Heal exactly 777 hp, use the talent to get bonus drop 3 times in a row (each character has one so repeat that one for each), ... at least, there are none for the optionnal bosses. What are you saying ... there is ? Well, good luck !
I’m surprised RDR2 Studying and Skinning the animals wasn’t on here. That took me awhile, sometimes the animals wouldn’t spawn at all. I’m proud of having the RDR2 Platinum
I'm working on that achievement on Grid rt now currently at 38%. Another one that's time consuming is the Millionaire Achievement for Dynamite Fishing I'm at 22% on that one as well.
You wanna know what's even worse about MK9? 1 - If you have the DLC you also gotta do that 2 - Some versions of the game ask for 48h (if I'm not mistaken the OG copy for Xbox 360 does that) 3 - Since the servers where shut down, you can't get the platinum anymore if you haven't got the online trophies (which we're also really hard) 4 - You can't idle through most of it due to the MP trophies and the other character challenges. It was advisable to play as much as you could, otherwise you may not have enough skill to pull off the MP stuff
@@samuelblack7314 It's a bit grindy but in all honesty if you are ok at the daily challenges it wasn't that bad to keep coming back to for 10-20 minutes a day.
To be fair, the servers of Rayman Legends (Xbox 360 version) are still up until 1st of September, and a bunch of us are asking Ubisoft to delay the closure so we can get the achievement, but no luck so far.
I have the Rayman platinum and can confirm it took me months to get the Truely Awesone trophy. I did basically play it everyday, but there were some days when I couldn't achieve gold on a challenge, so yeah that's frustrating. Grindy, but also kinda fun.
I think we can all agree that multiplayer trophies are the dumbest thing ever especially in games where the multiplayer mode either isn't active at all anymore or it takes 50 hours to find a match. They would deactivate multiplayer trophies once a multiplayer mode starts to die. I have had so many platinums be ruined because of outdated multiplayer modes being dead.
I loved Realistic on Black Ops 3. Like the Uncharted trilogy on Brutal or The Evil Within on Akumu they really make you master the game and feel like you've achieved something
I actually have that trophy (and platinum) for Rayman Legends. And no lying it really takes that long. I was meh at the challenges so I would often only get silvers and bronzes so....yeah it took me about a year to get that trophy.
I don't know who told you that Rayman Legends servers are shut down, because they aren't... Yeah, the PC servers were shut down a while ago, but all the other versions are still up. There was an announcement that the PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 servers will be shut down on September 1st 2022, but all the others will remain online until further notice.
In Skater XL there is the Around The World trophy. It requires you to travel a distance of 40075 km or 24901 m on a skateboard!!! Achieving this will take you 2000+ hours. WTF?
Hell Let Loose has one specific trophy that you can boost, but if you don't boost it, it'll take an ungodly amount of time. Specifically, build 100 nodes (there are three trophies: fuel, manpower, and ammunition). To do this, first you need to be an engineer. If you aren't quick and the engineer spot in all squads get snatched up, you need to wait until the next game or until someone decides to leave the squad. A game in HLL can take anywhere from a half hour if your team is good to 2 and a half hours, depending on the game mode (the game modes are randomized. You can't choose). Then you need someone to drop off supplies nearby, or get supplies yourself, to begin building nodes. There can only be a maximum of 3 nodes of each at a time. Now, you can boost this like I did to make it move considerably quicker, but you still need a friend/teammate to get into a supply truck and drop off a ton of supply boxes in your base, and you need to build up the nodes and tear them down together. But then players on the frontline get angry, understandably so, because they need supplies on the frontlines and you're clearly boosting. So some players team kill you to stop you. And HLL has a lot of trophies like this where you can find ways to get it quicker but it still takes a bit of time, or you can just do it naturally if you plan on playing the game for hundreds if not thousands of hours. Another big one is dropping an artillery strike on a vehicle, which really the only good way to get that is just to get on an artillery gun and keep firing. So glad to be done with HLL's trophy list. Love playing the game, didn't love getting the trophies.
Currently around 250 something on exploring zones in save the world, now I will say, although tedious, I can kinda see the mindset of what this trophy was made for, as it’s the design of the game to go through dozens of zones for more rewards somewhat like a looter shooter or mmo
I got the Rayman one and I have to say. It took a LOT of time. I got to a point were I was getting 1st position and people were messaging me to get tips haha. Good times.
I think MK9 deserves a remaster, because of how it reboots and packages the first 3 games into the storyline that 10 and 11 come-from, but it is STILL the only MK I know that does 4-player tag-team.
