@@sigmachadgigamale don't hate machine learning cuz that is actually cool. If there is anything to hate it is _poorly trained_ machine learning. The only reason I say is because there is still some pretty cool stuff that I have seen people do with machine learning when they train it properly.
Make basic contact information easy to find (I don't want to spend minutes trying to figure out what state you are in) Consider both in the header and footer. And consider putting contact forms on more than just your contact page.
Using Amazon as an example of good UI is triggering. Navigating through their website is somewhat unusually difficult in the sense that finding certain buttons (like: add to wishlist is not as visible and clear as it should be), or navigating through several pages just to disable something is also difficult (like in the past having to scroll to the bottom of the page to disable prime when you had to navigate and click through several options). There's a lot of room for improvement for sure.
I 100% agree. People often use Amazon as an example of good UI and it never makes any sense to me. I'm pretty tech-savvy, if you will, and seem to have trouble accomplishing many actions on their website. It's not the worst UI I've ever seen but, as you said, has a lot of room for improvement.
Amazon is an example of design for profit-optimization rather than UX. It's no accident that the 'add to list' is frequently in a different location. They want you to just add it to the cart! 😀
can do a video of process of trasforming UI xd/figma file to acual site please? do devs still start from scratch and use UI as guide or will they use the same files to code? thanks a lot
I was surprised he didn't mention color contrast, font size, aria attributes in tip 7 or 8 or whatever it was about ease of use. Color contrast is important and applies to the majority of people, and there are plenty of websites with ugly red on yellow etc.
Whats the difference? Somewhere it's written they both are very much same but Somewhere its mentioned they are 2 diff things. I m new to this thats why asking this basic question.
@@sakshimudgal8809 Thats simple. First, they are to completly different things but UI plays a role in UX but not the other way around. UI is about the look (how do buttons look, how do icons look and so on). UX is about getting things easy to use. it is more about psychology. (e.g. where to place a button, how features are triggered,) Summarized: A product could look really appealing (good UI), but is terrribly complicated to use (bad UX). But a good UI helps having a better UX. Hope that helps.
In 2021, an intuitive user interface (UI) is a must for any digital product such as a mobile app Nickelfox is a top UX and digital transformation firm headquartered in Noida. The firm designs and builds digital products from mobile apps to websites and communications for the most ambitious brands.
How is Facebooks UI/UX design hard to use? Sure, managing pages and groups could use an upgrade (especially on mobile), but the generic facebook is intuitive as they've kept the basic navigation form throughout all of their redesigns. I've been using it for 12 years now and I haven't had a problem with finding what I was searching for. Not even before I got into UI/UX design
I personally struggled on their UI 4 months ago, but their newer update, an attempt to upgrade their UI to today's standards, was a fail in my opinion. There are so many different choices for the user to make, many of which, I don't even know what they do.
