There's another interesting parallel in the books - the number of times that Harry wishes that he had something (a proper bedroom in 'The Sorcerer's Stone' and the wizarding world to believe him in 'The Order of the Pheonix'), but when he receives the thing he thinks he wants, it's at the expense of something he wanted more (the letter and Sirius alive, respectively).

10) Harry literally internally monologues that the Basilisk is like a beast version of Voldemort. 9) I mean, this isn't even something that can be missed because it is just as you read it lmao 8) Almost every older character comments on how Harry is like James, you really can't miss it. The Ginny thing is kind of a reach but sure. 7) Can't be missed because you yourself read what Harry told Voldemort. 6) Nothing to be missed here, as it is all explicitly said in the books. 5) Not a "connection." 4) Yeah, multiple characters think the fat kid looks like a pig. Ground breaking stuff. 3) Not a "connection." 2) Not a "connection." 1) Hagrid tells Harry the last time he was on the motorcycle Hagrid could fit him in one hand. So you would have to be very forgetful and also have very low reading conprehension to miss this one. What a terrible video lol. Was hoping for some insightful and unique looks into the lore and world but got this drivel instead.

The artwork is superb! It has been a while since I read the books, but wasn't Voldy's name spelled such that the Death Eaters could track the location of a person who spoke it? For many years, I wanted Harry and Hermione to be the resolution relationship. Now, much older, I think it would also have worked if Harry had remained single after the war, like Dumbledore. Too deeply wounded for an ordinary family life, but seeking higher purpose using his experiences as an auror, teacher, and general benefactor. Anyway, thank you for keeping this beloved universe alive.

They put a trace like jinx on Voldemorts name in Deathly Hallows to track anyone who says it.

Harry actually did have kin - Voldemort himself. In Deathly Hallows when Harry and Dumbledore are in limbo (or wherever they are), Dumbledore says the Harry's wand recognised Voldemort as a man who was both kin and mortal enemy. But we all know that Voldemort wasn't a relative Harry could trust.

Gonna just make a quick note; but I don’t think Snape was the only teacher to dislike Harry. Sybil Trelawney did not seem to care for him very much either; and she’s a core character.

McGonagall said she picked a student every year to mess with. And in all fairness... Harry is an easy target for sending doom and gloom too. I think she just wanted that target. Less personal. More business. Lol

@kenhyaferrier7924 not entirely true. We see the bulk of the abuse towards harry and neville, 1. Because of the excessive amount of it and 2. Because we are seeing the series from harrys perspective. The only student he seems to like at all is draco. He calls hermione an insufferable know it all and says he notices no difference when her teeth are enlarged. He calls previous students "the usual bunch of dunderheads" he calls Ron solid (an attempt at calling him thick and incapable of performing magic properly.) He also allowed such extreme measures by the carrows. And takes excessive amounts of points from any student who isn't a slytherin.

@@felicityanne979 I'm gonna put my 2 cents back into this ☝️ Snape. Hates. Harry. James (Harry's dad as we all know and Snape's arch nemesis from school) took Snape's dream woman and had a child with her that looks exactly like James. Opposite of my previous post.... It's all personal for Snape. Then we all find out he actually loves Harry because of Lily but couldn't show it because of past traumas or something blah blah. But nah. Snape took his hate for James out on Harry. He also didn't like anyone. You are correct about that though. Ive read the series entirely too many times. Reading the 2nd book to my children now. 😅

@chriswhitaker9763 I never said he doesn't hate harry. My point was that harry and neville are not the only students he hates, which is the comment i was replying to. He hates literally all of them except draco. That was my point. You don't need to explain to me, a series I've read probably a dozen times.

Watched the films before I Tryed to read the books. Couldn't get into the books. But my mother has. So anything about the world of witches and wizards in Harry Potter . Interest me. Been playing a on line game called hogwarts mystery. Has many characters from the book. Harry just got saved when a baby. Also been watching gamers playing hogwarts legacy. Am now watching the last house. Gryffndor. Good stuff 🧙👍

HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED calls him in, he zeros in.That is how Mr.Lovegood called in those who were supposed to capture Harry, Ron and Hermione. You don't know much about slaves, do you? Look at how Kreacher changed when he learned that the world could be different: He basically had Stoholm Syndrome, which is what many slaves experience: attachment to their abusers, plus, they have fear of being free, because they wonder where would they go, and what would they do, how could they get what they need to live? Being a house elf gives them PURPOSE and it would be shameful to be turned away from a family,(or a place like Hogwarts), and have no one to serve.

I think it’s weird that Harry is dating and marry Ginny who look like his mother and why would J. K. Rowling get Harry to marry Ginny can’t she pick someone else to marry Harry like Hermione or Luna or someone else from a different houses

I beg to differ. It seems to me quite fitting that Hermione becomes the "Ma Weasley" of the 21st Century. From there, Harry married to Ginny, who is no slouch in wizarding powers herself, gives us the Horcrux Huntter team, reinforced with a fourth veteran of the 2nd Wizarding War, also from Gryffindor in a tight, durable in-law relationship. The only downside I see is it puts Harry and Hermione TOO close for the "we'll do grandchildren together and all love each other always 😊 ." schtick.

It's less the cause and more a stimulant to the fear 🤔 His fearsome powers and unending evil is the cause of the fear. So great was the fear that people became afraid of his name. So much so they acted like a human brain trying to suppress memories and forget it entirely. So more like a stimulant ☝️ To sound like an insufferable nerdy know-it-all.

It wasn’t taboo the first time round. The snatchers mention it being something that was cooked up because the order of the phoenix had been insistent on using the name. He had a much tighter hold during the second war than he ever did the first time. The ministry hadn’t fully fell the first time. It was better protected. It was infiltrated, but it hadn’t fell.
