10 Signs Your Body Needs More Nutrients #shorts
Dr. Janine shares ten signs your body needs more nutrients. She talks about how pale under the eyes could be an iron deficiency. Is your hair falling out? This could be a lack of protein in your diet or a red-light deficiency. She looks at how white spots on the nails are a sign of a zinc deficiency. Dr. Janine explains how bleeding gums could mean you are low in vitamin C. Does your eyelid twitch? This is a telltale sign of a magnesium deficiency. Cracked heels could mean you are low in riboflavin, niacin, and vitamin D. Low back pain can also mean a vitamin D deficiency. She talks about how salt cravings could indicate you are low in sodium. Dark circles under the eyes could be a vitamin K deficiency. Lastly, Dr. Janine explains how the loss of the outer eyebrow hair indicates you are low in iodine and have an under-functioning thyroid.

Low back pain is very rarely caused by nutrient deficiency. It's mostly caused by weak stabilizer muscles which loads a lot of tension in the lower back area.

Don't sweat it too much. Eat balanced by getting protein, fat, and carbs in each meal. At least some fruit and veggies every day with variety of colors. Then for a supplement start with a good multivitamin, it covers all your bases. Then add a super green, easy to mix in water and covers an additional base for plant nutrients. If you want even more, do an omega complex. Then go for a B-complex after that. Extra D if you don't get enough sun. Extra C and zync if you feel under the weather. Extra A if you have eye issues. Extra electrolytes if you sweat a lot. If this is your routine and you still have some particular issue, find out what you might be deficient in and take extra of that. Maybe look up Dr. Wallach for nutrient stuff. Point is, cover your bases with the multis first, then go after single nutrients if needed. Drink half you body weight in water in ounces every day. Reduce sugar if you might be eating too much of it. Avoid fad diets.

Eyelid is spot on. Had abdominal cramps too (post menopausal so not THAT). Took magnesium and everything relaxed. Sleep better too. Thx!

If you're pale, you need to see a doctor straight away ! Iron deficiency might be related to malnutrition or more serious conditions that need investigations to be diagnosed and treated properly.

Vitamin K? Interesting. I always thought it was low iron for dark circles. I have dark circles and always exhausted. I also have numerous allergies.I also have lower back pain, but I do have scoliosis. I need to try Vitamin K and D. Thanks 🙂

WaTch out. You have have hypothyroidism and not an iodine deficiency. Do not eat more iodine than 150 mcg a day as it might trigger hypothyroidism.

Lentils,pulses, chickpeas and lean meat are excellent sources of protein. Not to forget broccoli as well. Try Greek yoghurt as well with soaked almonds
