Thank you! I've won the local public speaking and presenting contest by using your tips. I'm really grateful. It was only a local compatition for high school students, no big deal. But I always had problems with presenting myself in front of an unknown crowd. But somehow it made me confident that I've heard strategies from a professional, and all I was thinking about is as long as I stick to them I am going to be ok. It kept me calm and cool. This little success of mine is all thanks to you!

I agree with #1 a lot. I think that's one of the best 'new' advice I have heard. I have picked up a lot from watching other speakers/teachers do their stuff. I need to work on relaxing. I don't put in 70 hours, no-way. After hearing this list now I can see why some of my talks work better than others.

I recently found your videos through a random search and I look forward to learning more from them. Currently, I am studying agricultural communications. Speaking is a big part of our education. However, I recently realized that what I am learning in the classroom is not enough practice to make me a great speaker. Therefore, I've decided to do what great athletes do and begin practicing a lot on my own. I want to be a public speaker one day. I don't care if I speak in front of ten people or 20,000 people. I just want to be a speaker.

Thank God for this video. i did my presentatiin in class last week but the professor asked us to write about what we should improve in my presentation.I have another presentation very soon. Your own presentation has make me to improve my self properly. Sir like the way you said it in your presentation. When i finished my own presentation in class every body claped for me ,and everydy was so happy after my speech. I did it right on time. Thank you God for all these videod on you tube and face book. Thanks, man. I'm one of those people who's usually just part of the background noise (and I like it that way), but every once in a while I need to speak in public and I really appreciate other people sharing their experience with me so that I can get my message across effectively.
Well Said, it's always refreshing to see people who share my interest in giving a presentation. We all have a level of comfort to speaking to a crowd but every now and then from time to time we all need someone to give us a reminder.

However, I have very serious social anxiety , when I talk to people , I feel very uneasy and almost pass out. Don't know how to overcome this. My breath becomes short, my voice got stuck, my facial expression freezes, and tears start to rolling down. And I can feel the chest pain and heart beat getting so fast that I can faint at any moment. That's why I don't get close to people...
Take long, deep breaths. Also, challenge your fears. Everyone messes up. Even the biggest professionals. Just restart what you were saying and don't make a big deal out of it.
Hi, these tips helped alot I was going to give a speech infront of my whole class at school and usually blush alot when I am infront of the class even though I am not feeling embarrassed it is just natural but these helped me over come that thank you.
Again thanks Antonio! the thing that i learned was observing other speakers and arriving early. it helped me build confidence and i was able to deliver the speech with ease. its actually more comfortable that way. :D
I don't have the fear of being in front of a crowd. I actually like it. But whenever I want to deliver a presentation, I in my mind have this "ideal" way of making the presentation. And sometimes I get frustrated that the speech did not went the way I wanted!
Time to ace my upcoming presentation! I don't know how you end up talking about something I have pending to do most of the time :D Keep doing what you're doing and thanks for the great tips!

+Real Men Real Style i watch you video yesterday before a went to do a presentation today and i didn"t do well. They people didn"t hear me that much. I can see that i improve in my nervousness. I wasn"t scared at all but people couldn"t hear me that much.
+TheNewRiflemanBob public speech needs to have books written about it, unless you're the kind who's not afraid to throw toilet jokes and not feel embarassed..it's not easy ,you know.
Even though I am only 14, this is a great resource I have found! In ASB I find myself talking to tons of different people all of the time, and your videos and advice have shaped me as a better speaker. Hey Antonio, once again great video and content! I wanted to thank you so much, just yesterday I watched this video and today, I got a call from a local radio station to give an interview for a project our group is working at in School. I have done some public speaking before, but I remembered these tips and had little time to prepare for the interview. As it was my first interview ever, it was a bit rusty of course but I managed to give a good interview. Once again, thank you so much!
