Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think you’re meant to do all the steps everyday, that’s where a lot of people go wrong. For example the face mask, you absolutely don’t have to use a face mask everyday, maybe 1-3 times per week depending on preference. And the exfoliant probably shouldn’t be used daily either, but it really depends on the strength of exfoliant and the sensitivity of your skin. But as he said, you don’t need 10 steps, do whatever works for your skin!
I think the 10-step myth got popularized by Charlotte Cho of Sokoglam. My Korean friends in Korea do about 6 at most. 10 steps in reality may increase the chances of skin sensitivity with actives overlapping (i.e. so many products contain niacinamide so too much can cause issues)
❤omg I was just thinking that today. I bought a Korean face mask on Amazon so excited to try and I’m like is this for a 10 year old girl?? It barely fit my face I felt so self conscious I’m like… omg maybe I just have a broad face😮. Then tonight I read your comment and it just saved me from a therapy session 😂
I only use sunscreen in the summer. I haven't put any cream on my face yet, but I just heard that Koreans have a special skin routine. If everyone really applies so many creams, do they lose half of the day to apply creams? Is this for everyone?
Guys he did not forget his forehead you can see his hair style sometimes which means he used products on the forehead😭also the sheet mask also covered his forehead😭
You guys don't have to use all products everyday as shown in the video ok lemme explain 1. Exfoliater (once or twice a week) 2. Ampoule (once a week or once in 2 weeks) 3. Sheet mask (once a week)
Me who only uses 3 method.💀 Just cleanser/face bar, serum, then moisturizer (bonus: vaseline lip care) all good, people who have never met me in few months already noticed my skin have gotten brighter😂 so it's up to you whether you gotta keep up with this whole 10 steps.
You do this in the morning???? (Cuz u use sunscreen, u do this in the morning right???) Like u dont have to double cleans in the morning, or exfoliate(also SCRUB??) or even sheetmask
Actually Korean skincare products are affordable compared to western products, they costs a lot less, usually Western products(the good and high end ones) costs 6-7x more.
@@Ipromiseyounobodyismad I'm an exchange student and if you dont believe me do it idc just dont cry when you start to need half the bottle to get your skin glowy and moisturized. Your money
There are a lot of people who do something like this. In Korea we actually don’t necessarily use the popularized 10-step routine. The 10-step routine is kind of the sum of what a lot of people do. Especially the guys, everyone I know has at least a total of 7-8 products for their skin. They don’t always use them but that’s where the 10 step routine got popularized from.👍
