Pandora have retired lots of charms and then brought out a new version which is slightly different, so there are differences if you find a retired charm and try to compare it to a new one you might think it's fake when it isn't. Examples of this are the ghost, the pumpkin, the horseshoe, the teacup, teapots and I'm sure there are others.Oh I know, the four leaf clover - the original has green (or red ) enamel, the recent one has pave.
Not All Pandora Charms Have Threading At All I Just Got Some From Pandora The Other Day & It Didn’t Have The Threading In It So I’m Thinking Some Charms Do & Some Charms Don’t Have It
I got a fake one 😢 i was so disappointed to because it was one that’s sold out everywhere in Australia! It has no jeweller’s stamp & the dangly charms are smaller than the real deal
Sometimes ( to the best of my knowledge) the ALE can be inside where the threading is, also before 2011 the bracelet didnt have the crown, also stamping/writing may be shallow due to wear.
also, Pandora's stones are held by little prongs, just like a diamond ring, or beveled in (like a ring of the metal around the stone). They aren't just glued on. Even though Poshmark says it's verified authentic, buyer *beware*! I've gotten a few, albeit very good, knockoffs. It makes me more aware of just how many are out there, and what to look for. 1st rule for the murano glass beads is, the cores are essentially one piece all the way through, and the shape is consistant through the years.
I don't buy much jewelry so I didn't even realize there was fake Pandora. There's damn near fakes of everything nowadays. I almost got scammed the other day 😳🙈
@@deenacurls No none of the pandora charms were purchased from etsy. Only one was purchased on Ebay and I have no reason to believe its not authentic. All other charms purchased from brick & mortar pandora dealer jewelry store.
@@MrTargetone thanks for replying! I got most of my charms for the pandora store and some from rue la la thought about buying from etsy but maybe not anymore now 😅
Margaret, I think the reason that we all are saying you look amazing (besides that you always look good!) is that you gave yourself a better haircut than I think your hairdresser previously did. Your length is perfect! It highlights your features especially your beautiful eyes!
I buy a lot of charms off of Etsy , pretty sure they are not authentic but the quality from some of the sellers is superb and you cannot tell the difference . The cost of living crisis is hard , never feel bad if you can’t afford the real thing . For me I cannot justify spending £50-60 on a singular charm
I know this may be overkill but there are many Pandora youtubers that shows the charms up close , and they usually have their charms in the thumbnail. If you wanna take a look at someone’s candy cane picture maybe youtube may help, again will probably be time consuming.
If you are a Pandora addict, you can easily spot fakes a mile away. It is quite easy once you know what to look for. They'll often be the wrong size, colour, shape, and have dodgy stamping. If you are buying second hand, buy from a reputable seller and one that has lots of photos from all angles. Those sellers which only have 1 or 2 pics with an all white background... they're likely to be fakes so buyer beware.
Rue La La is authorized to sell Pandora Charms. I was surprised when I ordered a bracelet and a charm because the charm was not marked Pandora, but it was a real Pandora charm. The bracelet was marked.
I had several of the same charm purchased on resale sites…all looked 100% authentic until I laid them all side by side…1 of the 4 was smaller than the other 3…this is because makers who sell fakes often use real charms to make a mold for their fakes and the resulting charms made with this mold will be just a tad smaller…sneaky!
Hi, I just bought a Pandora charm and even though it has a threaded core, it slides straight on to the bracelet without having to thread on. Do you think it’s a faulty charm? Thanks
I have the Alice charms! Only the doorknob and key charm is threaded. The rest aren’t so I guess it’s going to get harder to identify fakes based off threaded cores
Haaaa got a pandora ad right off the bat lol. Never knew fake pandora beads were a thing. I never understood they hype over them, i think they're ugly and over priced.
I do own the family charm and it has S925 written underneath the first head under the word LOVE and it has the word ALE underneath the other head above the word FAMILY.
I have taken items to be authenticated, mostly vintage charms..the young salesgirls are hired as ‘warm bodies’, not as experts on PANDORA and they simple don’t recognise vintage PANDORA nor do they have the training to authenticate older pieces…their guess is a s good as mine…so that is a waste of time as far as I’m concerned.
Without more pictures, I am not sure about your candy cane charm being fake. The real charm does sort of sink in where the red swirls around. It is not as smooth as some of the pictures are making it look.
Anyone selling counterfeit products should be thrown in jail. It is absolutely ridiculous that these people are allowed to sell garbage and advertise it as authentic.
It’s illegal for goodwill to sell counterfeit goods, yet they do it all the time as do lots of other online retailers. It’s fine to sell charms that are “in the style of” but if it has fake marks and is trying to look authentic, I wouldn’t try to sell it. Not worth it. And if you do decide to get your money back, don’t send them the fakes back so they can resell them to some other poor unsuspecting soul. Tell them they’re illegal so you destroyed them! Big giant FAIL for goodwill.
I am so glad you have recovered, are healthy and back with your sharp mind and wit in tact! I was not aware of the issues with the Pandora knock offs. Makes sence since many of the bracelets and charms are a little pricey. God bless you sweet lady and pray for your continued health. Sherry from Alabama.
Oh wow!!! Thank u sooo much for all this good research!!!! I have a job to do, as I bought a "lot" of Pandora charms and bracelets from Ebay UK... Just praying they are real now!!! If so, i made a really good buy!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Maybe you should talk about how Pandora is fooling everyone by selling pieces increasing the price exaggeratedly which that sounds to me like fakeness . These charms dont cost more than 15-20$ and they sell It for 50-80$ Tell me if thats normal...at least if you pay a lower price you get the real price ,not increased and the details between fake and authentic are minimal, most of times its a idéntical copy but with the right price,so where is the problem? So dont be so wise girl and get your facts straight and instead of accusing those selling " fake " jewelry, accuse Pandora about selling pieces increasing the price out of proportion.
Wait so you want her to not expose the differences between scammers and authenticity, but you want her to focus on a completely different subject of the topic??? How does that make any sense. Chill
Hi on the early beads b4 2011 are pandora hallmarks still perfectly uniform , like same kinda height on 925 and ale, s is after a certain year isn’t it, or are they sometimes Not so perfect on early ones ? Cheers
So the glass round beads if it says pandora and has the dots but is in only on one side is it fake? The other side on the metal has 925 ale it’s the orange cheetah looking one…
That was a wealth of information thank you for sharing and I hope you have more luck on your candy cane, if I come a cross any on my daily searching of the internet I will surely get back to you!
My charm scratched my bangle... the seller said she bought it from a Pandora store... when it’s listed a lot lower price than others, you know it’s not real.
Thats not true, the fact the price is lower doesnt mean the charm is fake, its the real price. Maybe you are not aware of the fact of Pandora increasing the price of the piece twice more expensive than its real price. Pandora is fooling everyone but then someone claims about the fake charms....its the same piece with the right price .
If GW says in their ad that they "guarantee that 5 of the 25 charms are authentic".... means they search the entire jar for good stuff. No thanks! Also If I have to do this much legwork, just to be able to get 30 bucks for a Pandora 'whatever'.....yeah.....no....
