@@InNozArD its weird. I felt like I always should have known they were made like this but I'm still surprised. I always thought they were cheap tat but now i know they are. Idk why they let someone make this video.
Wow so many people complaining. Work is work. As long as their health is not at risk and they are paid fine, I’m sure they are very happy to provide for their family and have a job rather than be unemployed.
Dani Z. THANK YOU! Oh my goodness. Everyone hates companies and just think people and laborers should be be pampered. No one is looking out for the companies
People in Japan sit at their desks for 16 hours a day and die in their sleep in their twenties and thirties, just to survive. They're just not third world, that's why there's no hue and cry. You do what you need to do to earn. They're given masks, uniforms and a clean room to work in. Better than a lot of scenarios.
deez nuts where is your source in the other comments, because someone actually gave a source on their payment as well as the benefits they receive which is good for where they live. Don’t just get angry for no reason and bandwagon
@@katjam i found someone share their avare money is 650$ and for the ones who work more than 4 years is around 1050$ . İt is pretty good salary and company give them free options. Also heard in their economy it is good deal. Don't judge people with your countries economy. Living some develop countries can be pretty expensive whole others not
mixindave1 they are actually well paid but there is a big risk once they waste or lose any piece of these they get to pay for it .its a delicate work .
$40 an hour are you kidding? Jewellers in America don’t even get paid that much per hour, why do you think they outsource? To get cheaper labour! Silver and gold has a fixed market price around the globe, they’re not saving money on materials, they’re out sourcing to get cheap labour! Looking yal ppl lying to yourself just so you feel better wearing their jewelry
I, Mrs.potato, want 300 subs: it’s not, but what they’re saying that the company outsources production because it’s cheaper, so it’s unlikely people in the video are paid _more_ than jewelers in America.
Louise K yes but pandora is literally just silver. Not that precious. Even though that yes a lot of products are overpriced but pandora is literally the worst type of jewelry (that is a high end brand, maybe not so high end) you can get in terms of value.
I will wear my Pandora now with even more joy, gratitude and humility after seeing the process it had to go through to reach me in South Africa. Thank you ever so much❤️🌍🇿🇦🇹🇭🇿🇦🇹🇭🇿🇦🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭One love🙏🌎❤️🇹🇭🙏🌎❤️🇹🇭🙏🇿🇦✈️✈️💯💕🌏🙏🙏God bless🙏Thailand and all its people🙏🇹🇭❤️
Honestly, I’m looking at my bracelet and crying. Thank you to whoever slaved away and sacrificed their day to make my charms & bracelet. I hope your getting paid well. Complete respect to these people! ❤️
@@oldpop788 perhaps in some ways but the idea is there is some hand making skill going into each charm which is nice. Yes your never get much if you sell it silver is not worth a lot really but idea is to keep them I guess
Why is everyone acting like a $30-50 charm is expensive and for the wealthy? Cartier, Tiffany’s and Bvlgari are expensive, not pandora. The average person can afford pandora, whereas they can not afford a $5,000 gold Cartier bracelet. I guess it’s all about perspective.
@@Eiramilah I don’t think that the silver used is pure silver, there might be 50-70% alloy in it, so that it lowers the cost. Even an ounce of silver costs around 20-30 dollars, while an average bracelet is a few grams.
Omg!! I didn't imagine that what I'm wearing is going the all this steps and all these people is working hard to make it beautiful.. I'd like to thank all the workers and designers there for the hard working 💜💜💜
There's nothing wrong with this kind of work. I'm from a relatively rich West European country with high living standards and I've done production work myself! Just because a job is production/factory work doesn't automatically make it bad work.
This makes me appreciate my Pandora charms soooo much more....the music was pretty emotional lol with the making of cherished memorable charms....My love for my bracelets have increased more!!!!!
My girlfriend like this so much so iam planning to buy her one then i found out the price is kinda high. So iam curious why is it so expensive then i watched this video, i can see alot of work there thats why. But for me its just too much work for one jewelry and to see how many worker's life to put in it just melt my heart. Its either beautiful or sad.
@@edjunior4999 i live in México and i just buy one bracelet and after 3 weeks i save money to get my first charm n yes its expensive but i cant stop 😬 bracelet $1600 pesos n charm $890 pesos, i get paid $3000 at my job per week so...its kind of expensive no?
Most people playing the "mass-production card" doesn't realize the bread/muffin they eat every day was been made in the same way, and the working condition for a baker (in western country) is worse, at least these pandora's workers have a seat and paid well comparing with other local labours in Ti. So why you still eat muffin/bread then think you are in place to accuse the company like Pandora? Work is work.
@@oldpop788 Are you stupid? Yes a muffin might not be 35$+ but when youre buying a muffin you get 3 muffins for example. And if another eleven people buys three muffins iy will be equal to a pandora charm. Also think about how much a muffin is popular around the world and how much a pandora charm is popular around the world. Muffins are just worse xD
This is just about the coolest thing ever! And watching them make all those little “trees” of charms was amazing! I want to watch them do a pave setting now... one of the ones that is a whole ball of stones..
My partner went to Australia and bought me a pair of earrings from Pandora because his mom and sisters like it so much, the design itself is plain, but after watching this video, I know wearing them will give that different feeling. 😍😍
I just applied for a Job at the pandora store in my local mall, this is probably the only job I've ever applied for that I'm actually excited about ! I can watch this video a hundred times, Pandora is truly amazing 😍 wish me luck guys !
Somachi O , I live in Australia Melbourne. I’m working for Pandora ( in October 2020) - 5 years. I love this job very much. * Yes, all charms hand made. ❤️
Wow this is amazing 🤩 how it’s made from crafting - quality control and all the process really made me so proud to wear my pandora pieces and absolutely u guys did a an awesome job and stay cool 😎
Makes you overlook the fact the charms are mass produced. The amount of effort that goes into each bead is incredible and of course the final product is beautiful and in ways far more meaningful than diamonds from Tiffany's
wow thanks for showing an incredibly realistic picture (aka actually how it's made) vs. some fake sentimental wielders crafting one bead a day. *Edited for PCness
@@hoamanh7638 I think she meant in terms with Pandora. Actual artisans making jewelry one by one are individuals working for their own designs or clients, but everyone knows Pandora is a mass-produced jeweler. So if Pandora tried to show a video of some European wielder crafting one by one, it wouldn't make sense compared to showing us the reality that these are made in a factory with Asian workers
Thank you wonderful people of Thailand, may God always bless your humble souls for all your hard work. I LOVE PANDORA🙏🙏🙏THANK YOU BANGKOK THAILAND 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🙏🙏🙏SAWATDEEKAA🇹🇭🙌👍🇿🇦🇿🇦👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏
What’s the difference from Asians to the rest of the people? I lived in Thailand and Japan and they have SUCH an immense level of discipline! They work without complaining and work because that’s what you do in order to live. They are sooooo interested on learning and putting all of their effort in everything they do for personal and professional growth without thinking “how much do they pay?” Maybe that’s the origin of the phrase: “no matter how good you are in what you do, there will always be an Asian that does it better”... how many times I’ve seen people doing mediocre work because “if they want more then pay me more” when what they are doing is such a shitty thing that it is not even worth a penny. Discipline. Period
There is a lot of work put into this jewelry and I’m very impressed by their work. Even though these workers might not get paid enough and companies sell for a high price, I have to politely disagree with the people that are saying that u should stop buying from these companies that don’t pay workers enough. If people stop buying from the companies, they can run out of business and these people will lose their jobs. I say that people who want these products/can afford these products should buy them regardless. Trying to “teach the company a lesson” isn’t going to make the price go down really. If anything, they will lay people off and overwork them. That’s just the way things are. And when people from first world countries look at these hard workers, we see abuse but in actuality, they tend to be more content, more grateful, and happier than people from first world countries because they know what they have and grateful for what they have. We live in luxury and should be thankful for what we have. If u want to see a company’s price go down, it’s best to convince from inside the company rather than “going on strike” on their products. Hopefully my opinion makes sense lol :D
i have a pandora bead that i found outsid my locker a year ago. it was just a small bead that someone had dropped, but apparently it had real silver on it. it was really cool.
now i just see my ring and my bracelet with so much love. Mi ring has a beautiful red heart stone on top, and I imagining those people putting it by hand it makes me appreciate it so much
C'est vraiment magnifique et en plus de le voir ce faire en vidéo sa donne encore plus envie de s'en offrir un ou de l'offrir a quelqu'un d'imprimer a nos yeux. Encore merci beaucoup pour cette magnifique vidéo. Cordialement. 💋💋
I have the ange wing charm they show at 5:03. It’s my favorite charm I own and reminds me of my grandfather who passed away❤️ my relatives in russia picked it for me
The conveyor belt line is called an assembly line and it means work is done quicker but you pay less as the honour have to have 1 skill or do 1 specific thing and it then gets moved on to the other person. (I had to know this for an exam I recently did so sorry if it's not 100% correct or clear but that's the gist of it)
Pandora bracelets so much for Christmas she got like her fifth bracelet !! And now I think she should appreciate all those charms that she has and doesn't like a lot more
Precioso!!! Es una joya que me parece muy bonita la versión moderna de las pulseras de medallas.Las instalaciones son muy modernas, parece un laboratorio de una nave espacial.Hay muchas imitaciones pero Pandora es la original.
Stop commenting "how much do they get paid" whenever you see Asians working in processing & manufacturing. No - they don't make first-world salaries, but it's for this very reason that they have these jobs and don't have to be farm workers. Thanks to Pandora for giving these hardworking people a job and giving them the freedom to reach the middle class we take for granted.
And as hardworking people they should be given a living wage, a luxury many sweatshop workers are not afforded because they’re seen as cheap labour instead of people. It’s a matter of making sure that people get treated like people.
Im happy that I learned about this! As a Thai person I take some pride in this. Though from someone in the comments, it's sad that my country has such a low salary for most jobs. It hurts my heart to say this but from the neighborhood I came from, the people looked so sad in a way. I feel blessed to have the qualities many people in thailand don't have. Edit: thx @ShewithBathsoap from some intel
I had a job interview at Pandora today. Not sure I want to work there. But the comments are very helpful. Always do your research. The jewelry is exceptionally beautiful and it's not crazy expensive jewelry like all the other ones. I wouldnt mind wearing one of these rings as my wedding ring. They are beautiful. It's nice to have a uniform I think to work. I was an esthetician for some years and I had to wear all white. That sucked. China is the best!
It's nice to see a video go through most of the steps. I'm curious what the "plating" at 4:49 does, given that the video says they start with pure gold and pure silver, though I don't think the jewelry is actually 24k or .999 silver. Is it gold plated over silver? Or silver plated over a base metal? Etc.
I find their work beautiful actually. Nothing wrong with it. They are in a healthy environment, well trained and they create beautiful things together. Why is everyone complaining?
