Another mesmerising deep-sea spectacle with bug-eyed froglets and baby bloblets.. 🤗 But.. my _very_ favourite moment just has to be (30:50) the extraordinary sea robin walking on the feelers of his pectoral fins to Jim Gifford's outstanding track, _"Lucy Welcome"_ from Waterwick! 🎶👌 Thank you, my dearest DSO for always gifting us with such relaxing visuals and music.. 💚🦑

Evolution has created some of the strangers creatures in the ocean. It amazes me at how they're beautifully adapted to life in the deep ocean, and no matter how harsh it may seem, life still survives and even thrives down there.

How would you feel about doing a showcase video on asperoteuthis? I think theyre probably the coolest squids on earth, almost like a 13 meter long bigfin squid on steroids They may be a tad hard to find but i know theres some footage of A. Acanthodemra and A. Mangoldae online, i could help you locate it if youre interested!

Awesome.video❤ I've never had so many questions though, I live on the east coast of Florida in titusville, and I didn't even know we had for blocked by outside our coast! I'm so happy LOL but what was that bug looking Fritter at the beginning of the video with those long legs? I thought it was a shrimp but they didn't get a close enough up that I could see it?????

11:20 This little fella's eyes give me pause. By living on the sea floor, such eyes are probably only meant to pick up trace amounts of ambient light, possibly from bioluminescence. So I'm forced to wonder if this fish and others just like it (such as the searobin) are blinded by the vast amount of light that pours off the ROV. There doesn't look to be an iris of any kind, so could this little guy be showing us the ocean version of deer in the headlights?

I always ask me, when watching DeepSeaOddities, what kind of experience these creatures of constant darkness must have, when they all of a sudden find themselves in the spotlight. Are they shocked or do they feel enlightened? The poor Armed Searobin doesn't even have eyelids. Or are these exposing encounters more like the great Master Gary Larson once tought us?

I really want to be a marine biologist! I am especially interested in the deep sea! But first I need to get better at math because they make you take Goddamn calculus for some reason... I also need to get over my fear of the ocean... And be able to move to a state that isn't landlocked... And have enough money to afford the American college system in the first place... ...It's not looking good 😢
