Lived in Greenland from 1991 to 1994 when i was a child- I have fond memories of Northern Lights, friends and trips to the the mountains picking crowberries/blackberries in summer and skiing in winter. Kalaallit Nunaat - asavakkit!
I’m from São Paulo/Brazil. The first time I saw Greenland was in a map in my school book when I was 7. I said to myself that one day I was going to visit Greenland. I’m 42 now and I still haven’t made my dream come true...one day...I feel it.
A kind hello from Greenland, nice facts. Although the temperature starts to go above freezing is the second quarter of the year and starts going down in the start of the 4th quarter of the year. You get a subscribe for being so awesome.
Hey i'm born and raised in Greenland aaaaaand a little teeny bit correction; only the northern part has that ''the sun never sets'' period. I live in Nuuk (the capitol) and we don't have that here. But great spot-on list :)
People's of Greenland 🇬🇱 are very emancipated and their attitude is always great and helpful for whatever you're interested for. If you travel someday, please make sure your ticket is round trip, because you're going to like to be there much more than for a vacation. Don't get lost!!! Greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭. 😍
It looks to have a good amount of ice, snow, glaciers, mountains, hills, rocks, boulders, logs, branches, boats, kayaks, tents, houses, huts, apartments, town homes, hotels, motels, shops, And other things to look at

Me actually being in Greenland right now and catching my flight from Baltimore to Greenland......and hearing him say theres no connecting flight from us to greenland.
For number 9... When the norsemen came to Greenland long time ago. The Landscape was actually pretty much Green. Therefor the name Greenland. And south Greenland...
He doesn't have all of his facts right, from late april to october we have temperatures over freezing, but during the warmest months it can be as warm as 25-35 degrees Celcius. And it is only very few people who speaks fluent english.
FYI: Greenland was named Greenland by Erik the Red (Vikings) ! The Sun not setting in the summer only happens North of the Arctic relating to Greenland.
Correct, two continuous months without a sunset would be true only for locations above 70⁰ N latitude (or below 70⁰ S latitude in the southern hemisphere), which applies to the northern half of Greenland. The most southern part of Greenland is below the Arctic Circle, so no midnight sun there.
About the sun it's Depends where you are in geographical in Greenland. Even we talk kalaallisut (greenlandic language) we have different dialects, which also depends where you are from, just like other countries have multiple dialects.
Although politically Greenland may be attached to Europe, my visit to Greenland geographically speaking, presented an image that you're no longer in Europe - the rock formations, the general feel of the topography, and the enormous space, etc. give you the clear impression you've arrived in the Americas, especially Canada.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dx5oESbl_bs.html the kujataa part is pronounced "Ku Ya Daaaa". In Greenland, we, some of the time, say the letter T as a D. And the J is said the same way as the danish use the j. as a "yoi"
Still the Icelandic people come from the Norse settlers, same as here in the Faroes. Infact apparently we can trace our bloodline really far back here from DNA and apparently our very far back great grandfather was from Norway and his actual name was Víkingur, his "name" which honestly is a bit amazing considering Viking was something you did, generally not a name.
Well...? I am greenlandic. We have the highest suicide rate worldwide. Like everyone I know at least once thought about this solution (including me) maybe this is more surprising for a lot of people than the ice sheet or the largest island. But I really like the video ☺️
OH!!! Leroy! If you only wouldn't have said shit! I wanted to show this video to my students- it is that great! Ugh! I had it already to link in one of my PowerPoints. :(
