10 things that drive Batman Arkham series fans crazy. We love these games, but we also like to nitpick. What do you have to say about the Arkham series? Let's talk in the comments! ★ Subscribe for more: / gameranxtv
Batman: *working 24 hours collecting all Riddler's trophies and solving his riddles* Riddler every 12 seconds: it seems like you aren't doing my riddles Batman!
It's like the game developers knew that people wouldn't want to do this shit and put it in the game anyway. And put that Riddler reminder dialogue in to further drive it home.
I just said fuck it to Riddler. I mean, if Catwoman managed to get captured by a goofball like him, she's not that good of a "hero" anyways. Let natural selection figure this one out.
I like how the riddler trophies make you feel like an absolute big brainer when you solve a hard one and also make you wanna uninstall the game when you waste 10 mins trying to figure out one and still fail.
What the heck’s wrong with listening to criminals talk?! Honestly, I found it interesting to listen to what they had to say and makes the game more fun and realistic to be able to eavesdrop on their conversations.
Did you not hear him? Once you hear what each thug says hearing it again many MANY times is annoying And when it's done by the same voice actor it just gets worse
@@ringofdreal1374 They could have just given us a setting to disable it. It doesn't really add anything to the immersion having the same 4 or 5 criminals yapping everywhere you go. It's a bit like some of the roof tops seemingly showing up no matter where I went in the city repeatedly. It made the entire city seem a lot smaller than it really is.
Another pain in the rear on the combat system is there are times (Bane - Arkham Origins) when you're trying to do a move and get knocked out of it because someone, possibly even the person you're attacking at the time does their own attack and you can't evade or counter due to the attack delay. I can't tell how many times the other day I tried to do the ultra stun only for Bane to attack and because I was mid-animation I couldn't do a counter on him.
You have to admit that the controls of the remote control batarang have improved throughout the games. With Knight allowing the batarang to ricochet of walls a few times
Hadn't played it in over 5 years. Saw it in my stack of games and went why not. Playing origins on hard, with the knowledge and ability to improve skill now that I'm older is quite nice.
I don't really have a problem with any of these. The main thing I absolutely HATE is when you want to attack the one guy right next to you but instead Batman jumps across the universe to attack the one standing in the corner picking his nose. It's SUPER frustrating when you want to maintain that combo but instead of hitting the guy you wanted you attack some guy with a shield or electric baton and lose the combo. Ugh so many times where that happened I'm just ranting at my TV.
This especially sucks when they do this 180 degree turn in one second. So you are behind them for the one second and all of a sudden they made a 180 degree turn and are shooting at you
That happens often in Arkham Asylum. When the thugs are "panicing" (after you take down some of their mates), they are so nervous and keep looking around non-stop... And when there are more of them left, its almost impossible to slowly take down one without alarming the others.😕
“Now people are kinda 50/50 about Riddler...” Me: No, he can be dying in a fire and I would spit on him for the hell he made me go through to complete Arkham Knight.
I actually like it when the criminals talk. Brings more life to the game. What's boring is having thugs just doing their thing and just moving around. What makes me mad in Arkham series is the Riddler Batmobile challenge. Its unecessarily difficult.
Yep, I never did get that last one completed. I got stuck on the last lap of the last challenge. I probably should go back with the replacement batmobile as I think it is a bit better than the one that you start with and knowing a lot more about how to control it, but still.
When a thug would break my high combo, I would keep my eye on that exact thug, build up my combo again, and finish him with a takedown that broke his leg or arm. I am a pretty vengeful person.
Same once I got my sight on the accuser I would take out everyone else but him then a stun beat down lasting half way and then stun him three times and kick him across the fight mid air lmao
How about when you’re trying to beat a mission, you keep dying, and you painstakingly have to watch those stupid, annoying cutscenes and wait for your next turn.
I love joker’s constant appearances in the games idk but they just add depth to the story i feel… because through all and even after joker died, he still lived in batman and i think what they had was something special lol
I got to be honest, having the joker as my companion in Arkham knight was pretty nice. Also when he sits and points out objectives for when you are lost in a mission is nice
I actually really love the riddler in Arkham knight. I have fun doing all of his races, his puzzles, and searching for all of the trophies. My least favorite thing about this game is brutes and mini gunners. I feel like Batman shouldn’t have to punch a guy 20 times uninterrupted in order to take him down. I’m all for enemies where you have to take a different approach to beating them, but I don’t like it when it takes so long.
Yes, for the most part it doesn't bother me that much, but there are definitely points in the game where the saves are frustratingly far apart. With the excavator fight you get a save after each tunnel, but with the cobra tanks you have to wipe all of them out in order to get a save.
NOTGordon Freeman so I had this exact problem today and I've never had it really before. I replayed Arkham city on hard and pressed the shit out of the y button and I would still get punched in the back of the head alot
NOTGordon Freeman Well somehow I died by fighting two guys UNARMED . So I accidently ran into a wall and Bats fell to his feet and died like a fucking 87 yr old man .
The Cobra tanks were barely an inconvenience for me, even on NG+ when the game forces you to play on the hardest difficulty, they weren’t that hard or inconvenient for me, just saying 🤷♂️
The main story mode in Arkham knight is amazing. However the most wanted side missions aernt that great and it gets to a point where they become very tedious and you just dont want to play anymore.
riddler : oh, seems like you forgot to resolve my riddles ! me : resolve all the riddles riddler : oh, seems like you forgot to destroy hundred of random things in the streets ! me : FUUUUUUCK
my sad moment was when i thought that you only had to complete the riddles and then you got to face him. After two hours i finally did it......the riddler "So it seams that you have completed 20% of my challenges dark knight don't worry those were the easy ones." I legit was about to throw my computer.
*Riddler pops up on a tv screen* Riddler: Ah, you've solved all my riddles... SO FAR Map fills with riddle locations Me: I'm done i'll finish these in NG+
Don't forget the riddler bot fights, how you can hold move in the direction of your colour, but it hits the other playable character's colour and gives you damage. Especially on Knightmare mode.
Default Dewalt so what are they gonna do just stand there and watch their friends get knocked out if they would just stand there then this game would get too easy
I’m surprised they didn’t add the absolute frustration of some of the combat and predator challenges. Especially the joker carnival one in Arkham city where you need to get 1,000,000 combat points or the extreme predator challenges that need to be done in a specific route that takes 30 minutes to get right
I had this issue in city and i was aligning a question mark and no matter how perfectly lined up it was it wouldnt work. I got farther away and it worked... Batman: Hmm....Hmmmmmm...Oh 🤦♂️
+Shaqrifice XD I didn't think I came across that, my favourite dialogue between thugs is: "Halloween, maybe Scarecrow does have a sense of humour" and then once you complete the game and everyone knows Bruce is Batman and you just hear thugs complaining about all his money.
my favorite is in arkham knight when they say: so if bruce wayne is batman, whowas doing bruce wayne this whole time? everytime i hear that one i laugh a bit sayin: these thugs are dumb as fuck x) but the funniest one is when im rollin around the city and criminals say: what tf is he doin?!? (in french bcuz my game is in french: bordel! mais qu'est-ce qu'il fout? mais qu'est-ce qu'il fout!)
I agree to 99% of this. The issue I have with Batman Arkham Knight is that we can't do certain types of things and use certain kinds of weapons but the voice synthesyzer part for Albert King you must stay hidden in the Vents not behind walls in the Vents and don't get me started with the brutes and enemies that tackle you.
Enemy: talks about how last time he met batman he had his bones broken and ass kicked Also enemy when he sees me: hEy bATmaN! u ToO cHickEn t0 f1gHt mE?
The guy that goes "He broke my arms in three places in arkham city, but the way i see it lightning aint gonna strike the same place twice" But then if you land on the ground minding your damn buisness he goes up and tries to murder me
The tank battle is too much, i remember when batman saves barbara and say the batmobile is destroyed, i shout thank God, but then Lucius has a spare, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
One thing I did like, in any arkham game, was when they made not so popular characters into cereal killers, ik kinda are in the comics but in the game you track down and investigate to find a little area with a boss battle, like PYG man and how he stayed behind the table, mad hatter in city (I think) had a trippy battle.
The joker was actually pretty damn funny in Arkham Knight 😂 Just his whole " im gunna take the piss outta you all night and theres not a damn thing you can do about it"
Doomsday 345 Especially when joker said, " What's confusing me is how she found your top secret bat-base bat-face? She couldn't find her own reflection in the mirror when I was alive."
I actually liked having joker in the games his dialogue is so funny 😂 especially in Arkham Knight "So be honest Bats you don't have to solve Eddie's riddles do you? You just like to make him cry"
I like the joker on all four games just because he was done very well plus he wasn't in all of the four games if you did side missions and played the game... In Arkham Knight he is just in Batman's head trying to control you and people didn't understand that and so the game got hate for no reason and so did Arkham Origins
I agree with most but I absolutely love all character interactions I purposefully look for joker after a mission just to know what he has to say I see joker everything pause what he got to say
There is one track specifically that sucks the fun outta that game. it's the one where you have to go up the wall then back down, if you aren't good at driving the bat tank then you failed that Everytime and had to hear about it from nigma....
What about "tanking" on a rooftop just to get to the other building, just so you have to use the Batmobile to "recharge" something, I couldn't remember. I almost stopped playing the game after that
I think they could have added some random NPC's walkin around gotham city finding random thugs robbing and mugging civilians would have made it more immersive.
+userasdf I've defiantly heard the same thing twice a lot, I mean it happens in the first two hours but I mean at least there is dialogue in the game they didn't have to even add plus there is a lot of dialogue in the game it's self and they have to pay the actors for all the dialogue so we're lucky we have the great amount of it to begin with and even after it repeats you still hear new dialogue for the almost 12 hours of game after that
+EDO Funny thing is, something was said by one of the bad guys in Arkham Knight and I said, "They said that in Arkham City!" lol But some of it's funny so I don't mind it.
You know what I hate most about Arkham night is when you work so long to get through the Riddler missions and then he says he won’t fight you unless you get all of his trophies at the very end
I hate that as well. But I think it's worse in Arkham origins. In Arkham origins you get all the data packs expecting to get a mega cool boss fight, but no, you only get to see a riddler trophy
At 2:52, I like to honestly ignore the trophies but I just like to pick up one or solve them if I come across them but if they’re too hard I just skip them
Yeah I would say well you can think I’m biased but I played in 240% so I think nobody can hate him I think some people just like ignore the trophies not hate it
On my channel I've done Asylum, City, and Knight 100%. And I find the trophies ok, but man oh man can it get you after a while. Uhh 440 trophies, yet somehow arkham knight dragged more to me on that.
It’s great to see everybody hates the trophies because that’s kinda the point that is suppose to be made. To catch a killer, it would take a long time of constantly solving puzzles and picking up little clues.
The things I hate most are when you fight stun stick/electric guys without the remote electrical charge, and when thugs are able to track you as you swing between 10 vantage points in 3 seconds. Or when they just randomly see you 30 feet above them on a vantage point
I only agree with the batcave one and the tank fights. I literally love everything about the Batman games the riddles are more fun when you finish the campaign and are bored, I’m currently working on collecting every trophy in every Batman game because the whole flying around and fighting thugs got a little boring.
Ori0n1975 ngl even though it’s just a figment of Batman’s imagination and jokers still a psychotic killer sometimes it felt like he was Batman’s friend I liked his commentary on just random shit wish you could keep him after the game
When you kicking some bosses ass and their henchmen come along. I don't mind two or three at first but then helicopters keep carrying them in and it gets so annoying
What I hate about this game are those mamba tanks because one moment I’m trying to dodge all the other tanks shooting at me I have to watch out for misses too and it gets even worse if one is behind you and one is in front of you
Absolutely! :) I really hope they could add more dialogue among the criminals in the *Return to Arhkam*, while you're navigating through the Asylum island/city! More interesting/silly/hilarious stories to listen in to! ;)
I found Arkham Asylum’s Riddler Challenges very easy and the least painful to do, because most of them were out in plain sight. By the time I finished the story, I was over half way done with the challenges without really trying to find them (Besides the riddles, I tried to find them all them first go to read the bios, I really liked reading them.).
City has like nearly twice as many trophies as Knight actually, I think it's just the fact that the map is so much bigger so they're spread so far apart, making it seem like it takes longer to get all of them (which it probably does tbh, simply because the map is so much bigger)
The only thing that broke Arkham Knight for me was the Deathstroke "battle". I had no problems with the PC version or the overused Batmobile sequences. But GOD, you don't put Deathstroke in a Cobra tank and call it a boss fight.
I actually liked having the Batmobile the way it was, I really did. But if you ask me, if they were to do the same Deathstroke battle, they could've added boss fights after the Deathstroke side missions, like the mines could be tanks, the checkpoints could be a cqc and the outposts in the sky could be some kind of like combo of both or a cqc on rooftops like I would love that
Aurodeep Kamal couldnt be more right i thought the same thing once u beat him in the tank i thought u were gonna square up with him and fight but nope just beat him right there i was like wtf
I think my biggest problem with the riddler trophies is just how tedious some of them are to get, like the one in arkham city with three buttons spread apart from each other with one in a tunnel, u cant touch the ground or really anything without the buttons resetting and u cant jump in this game sou can only grapple to be able to get to the next button, except u cant get enough momentum to get off the ground and whenever batman lands it's always in a roll so if u manage to land on the button it's possible it wont register before batman rolls off of it, I love the riddler trophies, their a really smart and fun way to add him into the game, and it feels good when u get one u couldn't get to before, but some of the really hard ones like that one is annoying
tbh the riddler trophies are one of my favorite parts to the games. but ill admit a few of them really REALLY pissed me off. also the one you had pictured with the three question mark buttons in front of batman. it took me forever to figure out simply because i completely forgot about that tightrope thing he can do. i wass SO pissed when i looked it up and saw how it was done... one of those face palm things haha... so simple and i made it way harder than it needed to be
Same. Though may I say, getting all of the Arkham City achievements is a PAIN. Same with Requiem for a Killer. Also, I loved collecting all riddler trophies, however I was a little disappointed by the Riddler ending in Asylum. All that happens is you get to hear the police show up and arrest Nigma.
Love the Character, but hate his Insistence on always doing the shit he does... And all the talking... Though, i gotta say, he does still have some great and smart dialogues.
It took Batman 16 years in the whole Arkham Series from origins to Knight to finally catch this dude. All of his riddles made me want to to take his riddle cane and shove it down his throat.
The race against time riddler trophies filled me with absolute rage. Wanted to throw my controller through my TV screen when I failed and he was so smug 😡
I'm a huge arkham fan and I agree with your points except no.8.Having joker in all the games is not something players hate.Ok he shouldn't have been the main villain in origins but having him in your imagination in arkham knight was awesome. And also like collecting all the riddles but i can understand why some ppl don't
It would be okay if the rest of the story was different. But it's the same story all the time. That's why I prefer Arkham Origins over Arkham City, because Arkham City was basically Arkham Asylum when it comes to story. Is the lack of new features in Origins disappointing? For sure. But not as disappointing as a repeating story.
You liked arkham origins more than arkham city???????Arkham city was easily better than origins, for me the best arkham game, origins being the worst."Arkham city was basically arkham asylum when it comes to story".I'm starting to think you haven't played arkham city cause its story is completely different lol.
+aryan verma I played it several times, but the story is not different at all. I explained it in another comment, look it up. This is not objective though, Star Wars 7 was similar to a new hope and It didn't bother me. Can't tell why it bothered me with arkham city.
The fact you aren't elaborating how it is not different is the reason why your not correct.Arkham city was about how the joker was infected and he infected batman and batman looked fore a cure.Tell me when does that happen in asylum????Also in arkham city hugo strange is introduced,a man who is trying to initiate protocol 10.When does that happen in asylum???Sorry but you seem pretty clueless when it comes to arkham games
The thing that annoyed the crap out of me is actually in city (hear me out) I love it, but the giant blocked off area in the middle of the map near wonder tower really angered me having to fly back and forth for no reason.
