That sucks. My 2020 m340i has be wonderful and currently have 41k miles. It was a CPO with 27k miles and I have all the service records from the previous owner. He had no issues with it expect a flat tire. It was in an accident, but he has BMW collision center repair everything and kept all the paperwork. The only issue I had was the passenger side laser light stopped working but BMW replaced the control module. I blame the accident for that part failing. I can relate with the brake dust as mine was optioned with the motorsport engineering package (cooling and HP tire package) which has even larger rotors the standard m-sports on the M340i. The M340i is such an amazing all-around car I'll gladly deal with any maintenance BS.

The CarPlay thing happens in a lot of different cars, including chrysler ones. When you wanna make your video, you gotta be in the regular BMW audio mode, then when your chillin you can be on CarPlay

just want to let you know that the brake dust is simply due to the type of brake pads currently have. All you need to do is replace your brake pads with ceramic or just a type that doesn't cause this brake dust build up, it's an easy fix.

I have a 2023 and haven't opened the hood since I bought it six months ago, LOL! I drive on the autobahn in Germany and haul a$$ everywhere....all good so far. ;)

I'm a 57 year old man who's researching for my next car. I drive a mint, pro-modded 2013 Acura TL 3.7L SHawd with only 62K miles. Never a single issue since it left the dealership 10.5 years ago. Bulletproof great and amazing performance with my mods. I want your car but scared shitless for long term reliability. Will only buy for cash on hand + trade - No loan-financing! - Have 34K USD ready to go - Been checking Genesis 2022-23 GV70.. Nope.. has differential problems...etc. Can't take a chance with close to out of warranty cars like these.. Life's too short for Rav4, CRV, Camry.. boring 4cyl putters.. Can't afford anything newer than 2019-20 M340i, MB-C43, Audi S4 etc.. Getting frustrated.

Also.. you can program that auto Start/Stop to off, only comes on during ECO, once you program that out.. Also the Chime, program that out. Use a OBD2 connector and use Bimmercode, or even through Carly.. I believe you can still program them out.. don’t think being a G series matters, but research more..programmed all the annoying stuff out in my F Series

it won't downshift if you stay in manual mode. I have the same 2020 M340 I got mine when they came out first month I ordered one. I just straight piped the exhaust and got all the M Performance CF pieces and Im happy. Will tune eventually maybe

Just record using the camera app on the phone. Hold the photo button and it’ll record without stopping music. DONT use the record section.

for the music when you open your camera don’t record with the video feature hold it on camera and it’ll record it’ll show a lock button so you won’t have to hold it either 👍🏽

Had the same problem with the gas door on my 2021 420 gran coupe and had to break it as well. They replaced under warranty but i agree it was stupid for the to remove the manual release.

Hey bro I think there's a solution for the speech mode while recording. instead of using apps to record such as snapchat, use your iPhone's stock camera app. Once in the app do not switch to video mode, instead stay in picture mode and hold down the capture button. Once you're holding down on the button you will see a video lock option, slide your finger over to it and it will record without you having to hold it (just like the snapchat record lock). I believe this will solve your issue, good luck and nice car!

For the roll race, leave it in the manual position (push the knob to the left) (also idk if anyone said it yet but yea :) try not to push the car when it's too hot in the morning cause of the coolant. other than that, love the color, i got black on black

You gotta connect the music through android play not Apple car play to record a video without the music cutting out.. that was an issue with me as well.. don’t even use Apple car play connect through the othe Bluetooth option
