The cops were a challenge in Need for Speed Rivals. Also if you get caught, you lose all the cash you've earned, which makes it even more intense when you have the police on your tail.
We've reached a resistance point on computer speed but also the visuals are pretty damn good. Will be hard to hit something that looks better than video games made a couple years into current gen hardware. DooM is the first game I can recall playing that looked that good and nothing has really made leaps and bounds passed that at the moment just trickled up improvements and refinement. Eventually though With 4k or 8k I think we are going to have graphics nearly indestinguishable from reality honestly feels like we're pretty close to that already especially with these new car games.

Oh man the rubberbanding is insane. I remember a long while ago I was playing NFS Undercover doing one of the last races. It was just me and one opponent on a crazy long track. At some point, the ai car crashes and gets stuck somewhere and I blitz passed it - mind you, I'm in whatever the fastest car I could buy was and it was modded to the max. After a long time basically racing alone and redlining my car while using nos when I can, I see on the mini map that somehow, the AI is now moving so fast, I look like I'm standing still and it blazes passed me before slowing down until it's only about two car lengths ahead. Eventually I win the race and I decide to check the stats. My top speed was around ~410 kph (~255mph) while the ai was around 550 kph (~340mph). FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY. At that point I just laughed because what else am I gonna do. They seriously need to cut it out, it's ruining their games.
The rubberbanding in this game is bullshit. Not to mention those misleading blue arrows and the “suddenly-it’s-here” incoming traffic and no compromise for a little bump on the side of the road and those “lengthy” cutscene as soon as you hit something
@@Nyctophiliac. that’s why I used the Acura rsx to finish her missions It’s slow, good handling, pretty quick and easy to control (low top speed and decent acceleration) And for the nakai san car I used the fairlady Z (240Z) and gave it the E class turbocharger and just relied on luck to win
So you like the game because you can barely customize some of the cars, you can up to 5 cars, because you can't have manual on (which always has an option to turn off), and you can't fucking pause the game? Damn
@@Mostwantedtbest of course you can shift manually. He talked shit. You can costumize it on any car. And the reason why you can't tune any car is because the manufacturers didn't want to (Aventador) or its a car from one of the Tuning Legends (Nakai San, Ken Block ect)

The handling of this game makes it unplayable. Any fanboys who come up in here saying "you didn't use the tuner the right way dumbass" should just quit trying. Most people can agree that this game was WAY too overhyped. After completing the storyline and getting a platinum on the game in less than 3 days, I'm not going back, unless they remaster the driving physics.

I'm playing it rn "2017". They added manual transmission. If u have a fast car you will totally smoke em. And the drifting is JUST like real life. Keep turning left and right while ur turning and you will get a beautiful drift This game has gotten way better with the updates. 9/10

I think what you said about the AI applies to every EA game ever... Yes, including FIFA... I hate the arcade look of this game, the customization is cool but... It sucks, the cut scenes are cringeworthy, and I don't like to be that guy, but I will be that guy and say that NFSU2 is by far the best street game.
+Bryan Bello Any NFS game up to Carbon are some of the best street racing games, Underground 1 has a really gritty and, well, underground vibe I love. Underground 2 is damn near perfection. Most Wanted is about on par with UG2. Carbon is just behind UG2 and Most Wanted. Pro Street isn't bad, but isn't as good as it's predecessors, Undercover is a little meh but still not that bad, Hot Pursuit (2010) is good in it's own way, but is still behind the rest, and onward are just meh for me. The classic NFS games I honestly can't remember much of, but from memory they were amazing too.

I think not every EA game ever, but play a bit of Hot Pursuit 2 or watch a bit of footage, it's a very raw racing experience where you get to use awesome sports cars and super cars without stupid mods, and then Underground 2 is where you made an average car into a race car (basically.)
Underated game. Great fun especially on my 75" tv and ps4 pro. Yes, the controls take getting used to, but here's a hint only set tyres to the left of the middle and never to the right. Online is good too, especially the spontaneous racing. Keep at it and you will have fun
the updates have added so many features including manual. It's fantastic. Also for harder levels just invest in a fast car and you can smoke any competing car. The game is not hard to pick up but hard to master and I absolutely love this game.

NFS games are like this, every cars stats are equal, the worst game for this was MW 2005, like... a Fiat Punto had the same stats as a Lamborgini lol... on top of this, theres a balance thing where it doesnt matter how good your car is as your opponents cars stats will automatically match yours to try to make the race 'fair', and then on top of this, theres also rubber banding...
You can also keep more cars in the warehouse and switch them in and out of your garage. Nevertheless it would have been nice to have like a 20 to 30 car limit.
I don't think anyone understands that all underground racing happens at night. where there are least cars and cops. Plus rain just makes it more appealing to the illegal racers.

In Australia when it rains at night is when everyone enjoys a few drifts and skids from the low powered cars and sometimes a big heavy Toyota Landcruiser or Hilux for laughs, always in a nice quiet place out of the way of traffic etc. Races happen in the dry, good fun over there and loads of good people with nice cars, too many Skylines, Supras and Silvias for my taste tho
I absolutely HATED this game. I bought it with the intent of having a racing game that I could just play mindlessly with no real objective. I found myself concentrating harder in order to try and overcome the horrific physics and the rubber band ai. It lasted 48 hours in my house before it went back to gamestop. Funny enough, the GameStop employee working at the time told me that my copy was the 6th he had taken back that day. EA suckered so many people out of money with the promise of an awesome game but delivered a very bad experience.

I hate the AI cars so much! 😲 they get in the way during races and driving round, i wish you could turn them off. Also when you crash into the AI the crash damage does not look realistic.
I'm happy I only paid 10 dollars. Sure it's good, but it has its flaws. Personally they should remake Underground 2, but keep the originals extremely detailed customization system. Imagine that on Frostbite 3!
About the customization of "end level cars" - that is not a mistake by EA Games, to be honest. It is more about the brand and the company building and represent the Car Brand. If Ferrari says "No, you are not allowed to customize it, unless you, EA, pay us X-Million Dollars for the rights, you are allowed to.", got the clue? On the other facts: Totally agreeing. It isn't a real Underground sequel. There won't be any, I guess.
You know NFS was only about sports cars and supercars before 2003...not matter what the world loves sports cars and supercars, tho Fast & Furious brought in a somewhat hype and popularity of tuning low end cars, but that trend is out...driving a rainbow civic is really pathetic. Of course, customization itself isn't bad, you need the sense for style and know when it's enough. I prefer clean looks, decent and luxury, the classy expression of style, black or white or more exotic red, blue or orange. Like, a white Lambo with black luxury rims and a light (sandy) or dark interior (with white stiching) is hot. The Underground times are over, for good... ;)
TheSpiderJem If you have sense for style and fashion you know what looks good and can customize a car with the least, I don't need tons of customization...and customizing means do it to your preference, there's no you have to do hundreds of changes...interior design, paint and maybe rims is all you need. A white BMW with a black interior, white accents and stitching and black or regular sporty BMW rims, that's how I roll.

the thing i hate about this need for speed is that they play the songs over and over and over and also they censored all songs but when cut scenes you see them fliping them off cussing out of nowhere and drinking beer so whats the point of censoring the songs and they have to put more song not repeating it over and over

Don't tell me this doesn't sound good for a Nfs game: •It should have Carbons racing system along with the mountain duels which were overall badass •Possibly a system where it has the blacklist system and works the same way as Mw(2005) along with it's pink slip system where once you earn the car from the boss, you can turn that shit into a rice machine •Pro Streets crash system where you can actually see the carnage and absolute destruction of your car •Carbons free roam and should be expanded on because we now have the Ps4 along with the Nfs U2 system where you have to unlock a new area by completing what's asked for and finding new shops in that area with a more expansive customization than the previous one and once you visit the new shop for its new items, it transfers on to other shops so you won't have to drive all the way back to that shop to get the item you want •Nfs Mw(2005) police star system and it's difficulty as you climb up ,so does the vehicles the police drive •Tuning system maybe along the lines of Undercover or Pro Street •Visuals that top nfs 2015 •Let's you play as a cop with Nfs Rivals system •The Difficulty system should be like Nfs U1 where you have the choice and that difficulty decides how much money you earn and please for the love of God, get rid of the rubber banding shit where the Ai isn't too hard or easy and should follow in the footsteps of Nfs Carbon

10 More things that Suck about NFS/things I wish they added 1. You only get 4 pieces of information when buying a car, and you can even look at it. 2. No pause button at all, not even in a race 3. Exhaust notes suck for all the American V8 cars 4. Even without a manual trans setting, you can't see what gear you're in or even how many gears you car has 5. You really can't win any cars in races or race for pinks 6. You can't remove just one accessory from your car, it's you take off everything or nothing at all. 7. No engine swaps or engine parts specific to the car you are customizing 8. Not nearly enough cars. Nfs has 51 and forza for example has hundreds. 9. No cockpit view. 10. When a cop starts/stops pursuing you, the screen flashes with obnoxiously bright lights and damn near gives you a seizure.

I was about to buy this too. Black Friday 60% off but after this... this AI stuff just killed the NFS for me. The last NFS that I played was Most Wanted, the franchise died there for me.
This game was my first and may be my LAST NFS game in a while. The game was somewhat underwhelming, and I agreed with what this guy was saying. it's not as good as Midnight Club (even though I only played MCLA, which is an inferior game to the MC3 versions).

EA is the cancer of the gaming industry. why? well first off they dont care about quality games they only care about money, proof is for example what happened with fifa16 (im not going to explain it all) but basically getting special players is nearly impossible for the average person because you have to invest 100's of euro's in the game hoping that you might get a special player. with nfs they created a hypestorm so people would want to buy the game but they just release an unfinished game... i mean which racing game for current gen doesnt have: cockpit view, manual transmisions, dynamic time system, more than 50 cars and a garage limited to more 5 cars? and they can claim that its for an arcade feel but they're lying its easier and with that cheaper to make... that's also why all cars handle exactly the same its just easier and cheaper... oow and back to fifa again EA owns the rights to the team names and player names of all the people in current football (or atleast in the big teams) so games like pes will never have a chance to become as big as fifa (even though its a way better game) because if you want to play as FC Barcelona for example its gonna be called super spain club or something like that EA owns the right to porsche so no studio can put porsches in their game without giving EA a shitload of money which makes it almost impossible for porsche fanatics like me to drive their dreamcars in a proper racing game (luckily turn 10 does care about their fanbase so they threw a shitload of money to EA to feature porsches in the previous forza titles) but most studios (especially the indi studious) are not able to use porsches because of ea (fun fact: there are 30 porsches in forza 4 and their are a total of only 51 cars in nfs and 3 of those are the same car...) and its not like EA gives a shit about porsche they're only in it for the money that they get from other studios that do want porsches in their game and im fairly certain EA now owns the rights for bodykits like Rocket Bunny, Liberty Walk and RWB and that they own the rights to custom cars from ford/monster like the rtr-x and the hoonicorn (but im not sure on that tho) i've only used nfs and fifa as examples because i know the facts of those 2 but i've heard that on a lot of other EA titles its the same bullshit... honestly ea needs to be stopped if you ask me before they ruin the entire gaming industry
you had me at Turn10 cares about it's fanbase, yes, Ghost games, the studio who releases free DLC is money grabbing, but Turn10, who anouces day 1 DLC 5 FUCKING MONTHS before the game's release, and that puts microtransactions after the game was released after 2 months so the reviewers don't lower the game score cares about it's fanbase. 1. It has manual gearshift 2. Theres not many customization to certain cars because in the real world there arent customization option on those cars. It realism in that effect. 3. You cant modify that Nagasaki guys porsche because its his porsche, its a symbol and ties into the storyline and theme of the game. Its a collectable and if you customize it, it loses its entore appeal and becomes just another car. 4. Difficulty Level. There is 2 aspects of difficutly, 1 is the task/route, 2 is the opponent difficutly. So tracks or task become a bit more difficult, thats the basis of any game and you cant change that, its how games work. Opponent difficutly in this game is automatic, if you fail the challenge and replay or keep restarting, the opponent difficutly adjust lower or your starting position goes up.
Just bought it today and I love the game. I was annoyed by how shitty the Automatic gear shift was, as it always stayed in higher gear even though it's not the most efficient one. Now I changed to Manual and drifting is so much easier as you have full control now and it's an actual satisfying feeling when you get it right

Marcus Fern Well Ghost is constantly adding more and more parts, unfortunately not every car is gonna have an insane amount of customization but it's still the deepest we've had since ProStreet and it's getting better and better every update
You're right, I don't know why everyone loves this game. And you forgot to mention that there is next to nothing to do after the story besides races and lame cop chases that get boring quickly where you can't even wreck the damn cops! Heat was a much more fun game to me, and by just a bit, Payback. They at least had exciting and entertaining missions and thrilling police chases despite the latter not having free roam cops.
