Anxiety is part of the total drop off of testosterone. It also helps with confidence, muscle building, stamina, drive and libido! I highly recommend it.
I had dizziness, hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, frozen shoulder, aches pains, heavy cycle, 25 pound weight gain that still will not come off.😢😢😢😢😢😢 oh yeah and heart palpitations!!!!!!
I’ve experienced all but the hot flashes at one time or another. Some anxiety has stuck around and the shoulder that was frozen never fully healed but the other ones have passed.

I wish I had known it can take 15 years from the onset of peri-menopause until the real shutdown begins. I had always assumed you just had a year or so of irregular periods, then everything stopped and the hot flashes began. In retrospect, the process started in my late 30s. They need to teach this stuff in health class!
Yeah it’s funny to hear young women say “I can’t wait to be done with periods!” Not realizing how much effort and how many issues not having hormones creates! I spend more time and effort every day on my “woman stuff” as a menopausal woman than I ever did being fertile. Not having hormones completely short circuits your entire body! Thank heaven for HRT it literally saved my life 🤍
No one tells you what you might expect.... my Dr didn't tell me anything, i found out and researched things on RU-vid.... i am grateful to you and some others explaining the whole thing on RU-vid....i honestly thought i was in the early stage of dementia and i had so many other symptoms... i told my friends but most of them haven't gone through it yet, and really did not support me at all...they haven't got a clue how i have been struggling...i had to figure things out myself and do complete self care, i need to have plenty of rest and cannot tolerate a social life....always do whats right for you... and thank you for all your videos you have done, to help us women going through it 🥰🥰🥰

I wish I knew when to go to the dr. Menopause really does make you feel like you're about to die. Drs, spouses, and even my mom don't recognize the symptoms. Which further makes us retreat because we feel like this is not normal. It's sad that we have to be our own physicians or come on here to find out we're not crazy. Thanks Kari. Keep em coming
No one talked to me about peri/menopause. All I thought was you stop getting your cycles and you get hot flashes. I didn’t know each week from my late 30’s into my 50’s I’d be diagnosing myself with some form of cancer or other deadly disease. It has been a very scary ride. 😢 Kari, thank you for creating this community. It does help knowing I am not alone in this.
At 57 now I had so many of those symptoms for years, the worst for me now is racing thoughts, sleepless nights and the one I cry over is my very receding hairline😢
I found out I was in perimenopause not because of my doctors, but RU-vid algorithm placed one of your videos on my recommendation videos (and I accidentally clicked onto it). All my symptoms were in your video! I thought I was going crazy with overwhelming anxiety/health anxiety and a sense of doom, to name a few, but no just perimenopause. Just knowing helps slightly. 😊
Menopause is so important. I don’t understand why it’s so in the dark. I’d wish I’d known earlier it would made things so much easier. I’m so glad I found this channel 😊❤
If you had known even a couple of years earlier you would have suffered with a health care system that wasn’t willing to identify and treat you correctly-and it will take many years for doctors to turn around their backward approach to women over 40 in need (many in desperate need) of HRT.
Yes, yes and yes. My parents are both doctors and neither of them alerted me to what was coming!!! It took me a couple of years of free-fall to finally get to a specialist and start full HRT (E,P, T) after doing my research and being armed with the right language to make things happen. I felt like my old self in TWO DAYS. No joke it solved everything to around 95% and I will doing it for life. What drove my treatment was ME. Doctors were an obstacle.
@@r8chlletters got it thank yu! Yes I am a little over months in and trying to get it right. 0.025mg then 0.0375mg then 0.05mg and now been on 0.075mg for about 4 weeks now. Just increase my progesterone from 100mg to 200mg. Meeting with doctor for a dosage check on Tuesday and also discuss testosterone
My symptoms were getting so bad, I had a hard time getting out of bed. PM was making my fibromyalgia and lipedema worse. I started a whole foods, anti inflammatory diet and did low impact cardio and strength training and also yoga and meditation and I feel so much better. I'm still having symptoms but not as bad or as long. My periods are not as bad. Still irregular but not as painful. Until you can see your doctor or specialist, there are some things you can do to help minimize the symptoms. Avoid ultra processed foods, refined sugar, sugar substitutes, alcohol, fried foods, dairy, soda, fast food, start walking. Take your time and things will hopefully get better. Wishing you all good health and healthy transitions to the other side of perimenopause and menopause ❤
I wish I knew that along with my sweaty hot flashes, my heart beats so fast that I feel that my heart is going to pound out of my chest. Then as fast as that all happens, the cold flash happens and heart returns to normal. When I asked my doctor and OB-GYN both said it’s normal.
Hello! Kari…menopause gives me depression with all the symptoms that I’m sure it will never go away but instead will give me more as I grow older ,you know what sometimes I feel like I’m not alive and I’m just a wondering ghost because sometimes I feel like where am I like suddenly I don’t know anything… forgetting things that so hard for me to remember 😢.Thank you so much Kari you make me understand everything ❤…..
It may be depression but also many women with perimenopause and menopause are incorrectly diagnosed with depression. This is very common! I was seriously struck with dysphoria, suicidal ideation, anxiety and crushing depression in perimenopause. All were gone in 2 days with HRT. What was wrong was my hormones that my body needed were missing and as soon as I had them back I was normal again! And HRT prevents many serious diseases some associated with aging. I always say go find the medical journals and get smart on the latest (like the last 18 months) research. It will blow your mind.
Thank you for your information. I wish all this awareness was available BEFORE I went through all this 😉BULLS…. Why was this never talked about? I was equally unprepared! Raising three daughters, I am determined to be sure they are aware, but not terrified of what they will experience down the road. I wish I had known about the effect of dropping estrogen on the muscles. The twitches, the tension, etc. that arise during late perimenopause are terrible. You don't realize how much estrogen takes care of you until it plunges.
Thank you for sharing your good sense with us, and helping us be much more at ease, All these thing I've experienced, still experiencing, but now I just try to observe them rather than panic about them. Anxiety for one, came like a bolt out of the sky about five years ago! I'm only now just getting a hold on it. Thanks Kari.
I wish I would have known that pollen/dust allergies can come with the transition and have a slew of their own unusual symptoms. Once I realized I needed to do something for those I had a huge reduction in some of the symptoms.
💡 thank you for mentioning this! I have noticed allergies that I hadn't experienced before but didn't correlate them with perimenopause. That's fun😏 I'll look into addressing the allergies, though, now that you've pointed out treating them reduced other symptoms!

You are not alone my dear. I have been admitted more than 4 times in a year because of the anxiety ..it is the worse symptom ever But now slowly slowly I have learnt the symptoms and try to ignore some of them ..such as dizziness; shortness of breath; palpitations; chest pain ; pain in the left arm... My advice is do not entertain anxiety symptoms and do sped too much on internet looking for information about health issues because you will be confused and be worried more about your health and that makes your anxiety worse.😢 Just take one step at a time . Some of these symptoms are the same as heart attack and that make you be more worried... Just have a deep breath and try to distract yourself with something else like cooking ; have a walk; do some work in your garden and mostly meet people do not isolate yourself... Socialise as much as you can and have enough rest . We will be fine ..God cares about us ❤ Take care
I have 51 and i am suffering. I have lower back pain, changed my mattress but pain still remain, went to the doctor, my back is fine. Shoulder pain, dizziness, on and off heavy periods, my body constantly on fire, no sexual feelings at all, joint pains in every joints i have, very emotional, loosing my hair and the list goes on. All i can say it is horrible and i have PCOS making the symptoms worse

I wish I had known I could have HRT earlier, not one doctor mentioned it. anxiety attacks and heart workups cost me thousands of dollars and multiple trips to the ER. HRT would have stopped that.
Another amazing video! Thank you, @kariannwright!! Foot pain is my one symptom. Until you said it I thought I was going crazy! Thank you so very much for bringing up even the odd stuff that people don't agree are caused by hormone imbalances in women. You are the absolute best! No one ever told me how your thoughts change during menopause. Some days, I feel like I'm going crazy or so thought overwhelmed. Then other days I'm struggle with saying simple things. Then days off clarity.😮
Hey kari you are soooooooo right. If I knew back then what I know now I would have saved myself thousands of dollars and unnecessary trips to the doctor. Thanks for all your great information. God bless you ❤
I wish I had known that right after I ended a period about ten days later the pms pain, swollen breasts and overall discomfort started all over again. Seriously 20 days out of month I have period pain but no period.
In the beginning at 48, I experienced a little bit of all the usual symptoms of perimenopause but now at 49 and a half, the one symptom I struggle with is a hot and sore sensation at the back of the head, back of the neck, chest, shoulders, arms, upper back and sometimes stomach. The nerve wrecking pain which creates a feeling of impending doom, reaches a peak and keeps me up at night but slowly subsides as the days progress. I hug a hot water bag and a bolster which are really comforting. I think my gut health is connected to the pain as I experience digestive issues during the attacks. I take milk kefir and Vitagen occasionally. Mental stress like the act of thinking and acidic foods are major triggers.
@reachhonduras8955 Interesting!! Thanks for sharing. So glad it worked out for you. Pain killers are just a quick fix and can lead to further complications in the long run. According to my Homeopath, I have hormonal imbalance, blood imbalance where the red blood cells are not being released on time and vitamin deficiencies. I have come a long way but still not a happy camper. 😊
So true ❤ Me too I have started intermittent fasting ..I am feeling much better now especially when I manage to stretch the hours and eat a bit late. ..and it helps with the weight as well. The triggers for most of my menopause are stress; sleeping late ; dehydration; eating too much of bakery and sweets food; spicy and alcohol make hot flashes and headache worse.. Any way the list is endless and vary from one lady to another .😅 Only God knows 😂 But we must not give up or be depressed we can do something about it ..strong together 😅 Thank you
Flooding. It put me in the hospital earlier this year. The doctor said I was extremely close to having a stroke or heart attack. I needed a blood transfusion.
I love that I found you. So far, I am surrounded by family members that had to have "the surgery" . So, I have had to look elsewhere for any info for why I was feeling/experiencing all that I have been going through. The anxiousness and crippling fear to leave my house has finally lessened to a dull grr, and now I can recognize when my brains are about to try to flip to anxious mode. Now I have been going through what I shall call "frozen body" mode. But after learning its not/is me, I will still try to carry on my day. I have had many of your list attack me, and the extra padding just laughs at me while I am at the gym, but I will press on.. The finish line has gotta be coming up sometime!! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!
The only thing my gynecologist told me was to expect hot flashes, weight gain, and mood changes. I was never warned about the rest! I started “the change” at 46. I’m now 49 and “post change” I thought my body was going through something else and always at the doctors office just to be told everything is normal. 🤷♀️
Hi Kari I'm learning so much from your videos. I just started with perimenopause. I had no idea how wacky it is. I've been to emergency thinking I was having a heart attack but everything was fine. I had to cut out the caffeine completely. Lots of anxiety. Doing a little better now. Has anyone experienced loss of appetite? There are some days my appetite is normal and other where I just don't want to eat.
I had a couple of ER visits recently because i thought i was dying and I'm starting to realize it may be peri-menopause. Panic attacks, anxiety, heart palpitations, dizziness, along with longer periods now, . No one ever told me all this madness happens with the hormonal changes. I just turned 43 and i wasnt thinking I'd be starting menopause symptoms already. The Drs couldn't find anything wrong and said its anxiety. They asked if something may have triggered it and i told them literally nothing had happened to trigger it. I'm normally not very anxious nor do i have pamic attacks. I'm usually pretty chill. I am going to make sure my daughters will know about the madness
I'm 50 and I have developed such a nasty attitude. Usually, I can hid my disdain for ppl but not anymore. Every passing day my attitude just get uglier and uglier. Its scary. 😟

Frozen shoulders, bad acne, crazy period, loss of sleep plus the death of my mum and other issues didn't help. When i visited doctors they asked my age and said thats normal. Normal to them is what we have no clue about what's taking place.
Agreed, my progesterone is almost non existent, and I have been for a few years. On top of hypothyroidism and PTSD, my dr, must have thought I was crazy. I think I’m coming to the end of perimenopause. It’s a shame that women have to find out on their own. Does the itchiness stop?

I blessedly didn't have many if the symptoms you had. I definitely had the weight gain and hot flashes from hell and insomnia. The weirdest symptom was feeling an electric burning sensation in my mouth, it happened mostly at night and lasted a few minutes. This was separate from the hot flashes.
Hypothyroid and menopausal. At 42 , because my periods were heavy and lasting 4 weeks or more...doc recommended cauterizing uterus. Last 15 years have been a nightmare.
So many of these symptoms sound like my life right now. I wish I'd known I'd go up a whole dress size, so I'd have known earlier to start buying my clothes in the next size up, as I now have several items of clothing I can't get into.
