I always ask people in my needle felting classes “if you’re not bleeding, are you really crafting?” We also have a pile of band-aids in the middle of the table…we always have at least one bleeder! Thanks for the tips! I always suggest people watch your videos for extra help after our classes! Love your videos!
Thank you so much for this, I love that you have band-aids in the middle of the table 😁 thank you for suggesting my videos I really appreciate it 😊 thank for watching
Great video tutorial, Julie. I love your quirky humour as it adds greatly to a learning experience. I've been needle felting for almost twenty years now, and you've rekindled my love of this craft; it's so less messy than wet-felting! Thanks again, I've subscribed and liked of course. Cheers from Brisbane, Australia.
Aw thank you for these lovely comments, glad you like the humour 😊 it makes me very happy to have rekindled your love of needle felting 😁 wow Brisbane, hello from the UK 😊 thanks for watching
At the moment I'm not interested in my felting drawers- but I still watch your videos, because I really like, how felting and humor are not mutually exclusive! Kind regards from Germany!
Aw thank you so glad you enjoy the videos as entertainment 😊 and enjoy the humour, I love to hear where my viewers are from so thanks for sharing, I've only visited Germany once but it was beautiful, thanks for watching
Hi! I'm a college student looking to make gifts for her friends over the summer. Your videos have been very helpful for a beginner like me and is the best needlefelting resource I've ever came across. Thank you.
Oh thank you for sharing this! Its so helpful😍 I always have problems with size of my works. I recently was making some base balls for something and it was a horror to make them all the same😆 I should have just cut the same amount of wool and prepare it but I was so sure I will know how much to use just by mesure it with my eyes. Mistake!😆
Glad it was helpful, lol it sounds like something I would have done in the past 😂 I can tend to think 'oh it'll be ok I'll be able to get the same amount again' 🤣 oops! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching
Thank you Julie for your tips always! The template for the ears and holes for the eyes were an eye opener (not meant to be a pun lol) 😆 I wonder maybe if we could use the templating for the limbs/ legs as a "starter" or base and build it up into 3D/solid. I almost always end up making a leg bigger than the other, but hate to discard felt so I add thin layers of wool bit by bit to the smaller limb to match the bigger one. And if that isn't enough, I make the body of the doll bigger to match the adjusted limbs as well😂 Shows how much I still need to learn...
Thank you for this, so glad you found it helpful, eye opener -like it 😂 I've never tried using a template for legs as a starter 🤔 you could try it and see? It is difficult getting them the same size, your doing the right thing adding a bit at a time though 👍 I still struggle sometimes, so don't be hard on yourself, it's all so good learning 😁 have fun felting and thanks for watching
@@juliesfeltedfriends Thank you for the kind reply! ☺I enjoy felting and once I get into it I end up doing it "forever" 🙃into the wee hours of the morning. Then I feel groggy throughout the day but it's all worth it when I discover and learn things/ways. Always enjoying and looking forward to your videos and the little commentator dolls! 🦉
So you mean the thing I lean on whilst felting? If so it's a felting mat, the one i'm using in this video is from Heidi feathers (www.heidifeathers.com/) I also use a similar felting pad made by woolbuddy which you can get on Amazon, both of them are really helpful. Hope this answers your question, thanks for watching.
The dogs look great so much patience and pain I felt the needle going in your finger I have done that so many times 👆🩹but the finished dog is worth it 😍
I bought from Sainsbury's supermarket 😁 it's actually a baby comb, thought it looked cute and might be useful for small items 😊 which it is 👍 in case you're in the uk here's the link: www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/cantu-edges-baby-hair-styler but any fine comb would work, hope this helps, thanks for watching
I'm still waiting for my first needle felting kit to arrive but I've been watching your videos in the meantime and I have to say how helpful you are! Definitely the best channel I've come across, can't wait for more videos!
