I’ve been going through this process for myself with the excessive spending on things I don’t need. It’s been amazing. I completely decluttered old skincare, hair care, perfume, makeup that no longer served me. I’ve saved so much money it’s wonderful! And my skin has been less irritated, scalp less irritated, nothing collecting dust that cost me ~$50. This video definitely made me feel better and justified. About to work on closet organizing and you’re an inspiration for that also!
I have been doing the same thing. I make my own coffee and lunches. I use cloth and no paper towels etc. I bulk buy things like rice, oats and beans. I check the discount shelves for groceries. I prep and freeze things. The only area I've been struggling with spending is perfumes. SOOo I decided 2024 I will ONLY buy samples x2 (once in spring and in fall) and any LOVES I will put on a list for 2025 full bottle AND no blind buying full bottles.
Get yourself a rice cooker (if you don’t have one). It makes perfect fluffy rice for you , saves time too! I LOVE rice and rice cooker is my kitchen appliances nr 1! 😀
I repleaced my Swiffer towels for microfiber towels. They cost a fraction, u can wash them and pickup dusty (wet or dry) wonderfully. If u buy the small ones you can put them in the wiffer mop, exactly like you would place the disposable ones. To keep your microfiber towels in good condition, do not use fabric softener, otherwise they will lose the adherent property and won^t pick any dust.
I just buy 2€-5€ shampoo and contitioner and masks because it makes no diffrnce shampoo just cleans the hair and conditionar just smooths the hair There is no care or something Also hair oil makes no diffrence if you compare the ingridiences All the same :) Only diffrence is the curler und straightner and hairdryer
Very sensible decisions. I’m Indian and eat basmati rice a few times a week. Because it’s our staple starch, we always buy 10lb bags at a time. Saves money and tastes way nicer than the parboiled products. I have a Canadian Tire brand Frank ‘swifter’, it’s half the price and helpful for my bad back to manage cleaning up small spaces like the bathroom and kitchen tiles once or twice a week.
You're doing so well! We are so conditioned to do things a certain way. I'm 63 and I'm learning new ways, which are usually old ways, to save money and simplify my life.
I enjoy your honesty and showcasing the truth. Plus, i enjoy your voice and videos in the background when im picking upbaround the house. The growth is beautiful and encouraging. ❤
Basically I am not bying anything (except replacements) and trying to go zero waste though very difficult to be honest so low waste. People buy so much junk and consumerism definitely has a toll on mental health and the enviroment.
We bought a Zojirushi rice cooker & it’s the best!!! It’s Japanese & just so nice!!! It makes perfect rice without the messy pot on the stove! Check it out! 🥰😇 the most work is just rinsing the rice before it cooks & cleaning the pot, lid & spoon afterwards by hand. But otherwise it’s as easy as instant rice! It keeps the rice warm for however long you need & you can cook other stuff besides rice
So if you are not going to use your good expensive shampoo and conditioner, what shampoo and conditioner is good from pharmacy? Can you list some? Personally, I have trouble finding good shampoos/conditioners from the drugstore
