We had a masticating juicer and a Aicook centrifugal juicer like this one ru-vid.comUgkxXHNfxr6U9XrHQpsdjUrKNVP231BfS9q9 Both of them made about the same amount of juice. The Aikcook one died in 3 weeks haha. China brand. LolSo we bought this one since at least we knew the brand name and it was about the same price.Imagine our surprise when we make two 16 oz cups of celery juice and have leftover celery. We juiced it and made almost another cup! Same thing happened with our cucumber juice. So it's about 20 - 30 % more juice than our other two juicers including the masticating cold press one!The motor is so much stronger on this one than the Aikcook. It sucks in the vegetables and spits them out like it's angry.I've only had it a few days so don't know how long it will last but all the plastics and interior is much stronger and better made than the other two we had. If it breaks, I can buy a new one with the savings in vegetable bill. Haha. This literally is going to save me about 60- 80 bucks a month because of the juice output. No one likes to waste food.Update! It broke in 8 days. Motor started freaking out. I'm going to get another of them and try my luck because I really really want this one to be the one.
I just opened my box. Looking forward to using it. Last year I bought the Omega VSJR because it WAS your favorite. I Liked it, but pineapple tends to jam up in the basket. It took me awhile to want to spend $550. on the Nama J2, but I like the open hopper function, so I took the plunge. No excuses now for not having fresh juice - got 2 great juicers.
Thank you John for so much that you share. I got a s.s. dehydrator from you last year, and now a Nama juicer. I have an omega juicer which works, but want better and easier. I have been a whole food ethical vegan for 25+ years and enjoy consume whole foods God bless the animals. You are positive, informative, and inspiring. cheers, rachel

Best video regarding the Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer. Are there any P65 Warning on this juicer? I really need to know this. This Juicer will definitely save me time. Thanks for the information.
I just ordered mine and used your code!!! Added the sorbet piece to the order, too for my kid! Thanks for the extra info. It's helped me make my decision and thanks for the 15 year warranty!!
I do not particularly have success with their Customer Service Dept. The company has a CS number with an old recoded message and NO one ever picks up when you call...My opinion, only. For the price would be nice if they had someone who can take care of calls
I apologize for your experience with Nama. I would love to learn what # you called nama at? Maybe it is an old number? Once I know, I will investigate further, and if there are any deficiencies, I will work to get them corrected. To get the best support, I recommend emailing Nama, I get lightning-fast replies when I email them during business hours. Usually within 1 hour! support@namawell.com
Got my J2 today with your code. Very, very happy with it. Will replace my horizontal Omega juicer. Will not replace my Tribest dynapro. Both have their place.
Thanks for your vids throughout the years. A friend recommended the Nama J2 and you cemented my decision. Your discount code helped me get the sorbet attachment for free. Keep up the great work and thanks
I wish I could say I am totally satisfied with my nama2. At first it was wonderful but challenging to get clean. Vegetables have oils and it collects in the pores and surface regardless of how hard I scrub . I juice every day and I’m afraid this juicer is not gonna stand up to that. I’ve tried soaking in vinegar and citric acid as recommended and it does hardly anything. Now it is not expelling pulp as well as in the beginning and seems to be getting worse. Great juicer but dissatisfied with this aspect of it
So I live in the Caribbean, Antigua to be exact. I had a friend order a Nama j2 for me and had it delivered to an address in NY. The juicer apparently was stolen after it was delivered. I am so pleased so say that I really thought Id have had to buy anew one but the company gave me back a totally new one free of cost. the next thing that I must say is that I had some challenges using it for the first time... I was given a zoom call in no time while the person from the company walked me through step by step. That juicer is a really good piece of ammunition in my arsenal as I run a juice/smoothie bar. Id like to know though if I can juice soursop by just placing the pulp with seeds and all maybe someone can tell me. I also want to juice our star gooseberry by just placing the fruit in the juicer.Anyone with the information please tell me
Thanks for sharing your experience with Namawell. It re-affirms my experience from them as well. I do not recommend putting soursop with seeds in the Nama J2. The seeds are too hard and will damage the machine. I would put star fruit (Carambola) with the seeds in the J2, it can easily handle that.
Hi John. I think there’s some clarity needed regarding the warranty. Customer care emailed me today (5/22/23) saying “We offer a 15-year warranty on the motor and a 2-year warranty on the component parts.”
I just confirmed with the CEO of Namawell that the warranty is in fact 15 years, and that the Customer Care Rep must have not gotten the updated training, since the increase just occurred last month. Furthermore you can verify for yourself on their web site that the warranty is 15 years. namawell.com/pages/nama-j2-cold-press-juicer which states,"Nama J2 Cold Press Juicer product (USA models: SJ200-US-B-1, SJ200-US-W-1; International models: SJ220-AU-B-1, SJ220-AU-W-1, SJ220-EU-B-1, SJ220-EU-W-1, SJ220-EU-B-1, SJ220-UK-W-1) comes with a 15-year warranty on all parts from the date of purchase when utilized for normal and intended household use. "
You are correct the page says 15 years for all parts but then when you scroll down to #3 What is covered. It says Nama warrants to the owner that if any of the juicer components fails within 15 years from the date of purchase due to a defect in material or workmanship or as a result of normal wear and tear from ordinary household use, Nama will repair or replace the failed motor at Nama’s sole discretion free of charge.USA models of Nama J2 (SJ200-US-B-1, SJ200-US-W-1) used in countries Nama warrants to the owner that if any component or part of Nama juicer package fails within 2 years from the date of purchase due to a defect in material or workmanship or as a result of normal wear and tear from ordinary household use, Nama will repair or replace the component parts at Nama’s sole discretion free of charge. So this is the same as before. Please advise owner
Have you used or made a review And comparison with the Angel Juicer and the Nama Juicer ? I have the Angel juicer , and it is amazing results but it is a lots of work. I would be interested in finding out if the the Nama is compatible with the quality keeping the nutrients like the Angel and the yield ? Could you make that video ? Thanks
John does not review or recommend Angel Juicers due to bad personal experiences with the company. This is unfortunate as I am a huge fan of John's work but I totally understand his situation. He does have a comparison video to the Tribest Green Star Pro on his channel that may help. This like the Angel is also a twin gear juicer. Personally having owned both a Green Star Pro and now an Angel I much prefer the Angel. The juice needs no straining, the yield is higher on all receipies I try, less parts to clean, less noise in use and it's not plastic. However I am also thinking of purchasing a Nama for those days I have less time to juice. I am wondering if it will help. Cleaning juicers I don't find time consuming but it's the total prep (some things needing to be cut smaller) , using a plunger for each piece (unlike a hopper style) and the total cleanup at the end, I also live in a hardwater area so drying items is important so as to lessen mineral deposits. With the Nama I will loose Yield, Needs to be sieved, not as good with leafy greens, it's nearly all plastic and has more parts. Pros are less chopping prep, no need to be plunging each piece, can walk away of prep next recepie. Pros and Cons to all.
I like the white color but white plastic usually turns yellow. Whoever has the white one how long did it take to turn yellow and stain from veggies etc. Trying to decide on color . Anybody have this issue?
I have not had my white juicer stain yet. I have owned it over a year. Its important to wipe it with soap and water if any juice should spill on it. Otherwise get the black that wont show stains.
Great info John! Do you have a recommendation of a brush to clean the juicer better? Overtime I notice build up that’s hard to get with regular sponges. Thanks!
I recommend using the brush that comes with the juicer, not a sponge. I personally this brush from Ikea www.ikea.com/us/en/p/antagen-dish-brush-white-30534223/ although other suitable brush would do. One customer recommended this brush for the screen, which has really stiff bristles www.homedepot.com/p/QEP-Tile-and-Grout-Brush-20842/311181619
I own the original Nama and I hate it having to chop being that I juice every day. When the Nama J2 came out I bought it because it was a no brainer and is my favorite one out of the 2. ❤️❤️❤️
I was personally not a fan of the original Nama 5800 aka Nama J1. Here is my comparison video between the Original Nama and the J2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-plcSeU3w5sM.html
A few years ago, you recommended the vsj843. I bought it, used it once and feel like I wasted a lot of money. I would love to try the Nama J2, but that is a whole lot of money for me. Any chance you could do a comparison video. Maybe I should try again before I try another juicer. I’m very new to juicing. Thanks 😊
Sharon, the Nama J2 is so much easier to use than the VSJ843, that being said they use the same style of juicing technology. See ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AH_lvuidw0M.html for my comparison between the two.
I never comment on any videos. But you and your videos deserve a BiG Thank you. I remove my hat. Thank you, once again. I d not knoe if the word thank you complements my thank-fullness :) Also, on the 23rs of this month I will be buying the nama j2 using your coupon Favorite10 :) Juicy cheers* thanks Jhon!
Your welcome. I am only here due to The Juiceman getting me into juicing back in 1995, and making dietary changes myself, so I am glad to carry-on the torch and share the message of juicing and including more fruits and vegetables into a persons diet.
Thanks John! Respect your passion for juicing and truth in juicers. Used your code and am waiting for my Nama J2 to arrive. Thanks again for your efforts!
You're great John...i have seen some of your videos over the years and just saw your talk with Chris Wark...and so here i am...just ordering our Nama J2 today.....thanks for all you do ❤
Have a look at Sally Norton's RU-vid videos and book Toxic Superfoods. It's vital to know some plant foods high in oxalates can cause arthritis, anxiety, breast cancer, kidney stones, bladder and digestive issues.
Do you have any info on the Aeitto Cold Press Juicer, Whole Vertical Juicer, Slow Masticating Juicer Machines, with Big Wide 83mm Chute, Cold Press Juicer for Whole Fruits and Vegetables, Juicer Machine BPA-Free Juicer? Just can’t see myself spending $500 for this! No disrespect intended!
I have enjoyed watching your video for years. You always show us facts and tips that are useful. Thank you. I am going to definitely use your discount code.
John... Did the Favorite 10 last night, and the NamaJ2 is due before the 26th, thanks...a bit of lite humor, I bred some of the most expensive beef cattle in the country so I can't tell my buddies about juicing nor will I ever be a vegan...however I've used a power juicer pro (rest in peace Jack) for 15 years, got my cholesterol down without medication and I'm in spartan shape for being 70...the power juicer pro has upsides( fast fresh orange juice), but weak on green juices...looking forward to getting the J2, because my back yard is over run with greens...best wishes to your health and continued success...respectfully, LAG...( Legendary Akaushi Genetics)
Thanks. You don't have to proclaim yourself vegan to eat plant foods, and get their health benefits. I recommend eating as many fruits and vegetables as you are possible (whole, raw, cooked, juiced and even vacuum blended). Once you fill up on these things first, then enjoy other whole real foods, such as meats and dairy in small amounts. This of course assumes that your health is important to you. Glad you are getting benefits from juicing. I have heard that from most of my customers
You need to counter the effects of eating dead animals by consuming as much vegetables and fruits as you can. Kudo's for making an effort. I pray for the animals.
Hi John! Thank you for all your tried & tested results and loving your honest comparisons! I’m waiting in anticipation of a juice-off between the highly recommended OMEGA MM1500NC against this new NamaJ2, as Nutrition Centres. I know this will be a highly watched video & probably one of your most requested! The dryness of the pulp & quality of juice as a side-by-side comparison would be most interesting, especially for celery, cucumber and wheatgrass juices, but nut milks as well as nut butters and sorbets are an essential thing, and quality and pulp dryness in the side-by-side test would also be key. Hoping that Omega provide you with the MM1500NC for testing as they have done with other models. I know you’ve been waiting, any update?
Omega promised to send me their latest model, but never have. I personally would avoid the MM1500C since it is made in china. The improved version of the NC models is the Sana 727 which is better than all of them, IMO. See ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9ArS3oVbut4.html for my Sana 727 vs nama j2 comparison so you can learn the differences.
It has been about 4 or so years since I've been watching you. It always seems like you are honest about your reviews... Whenever I get the money to buy this expensive juicer, I will use your code... Thanks for sharing
John...I have the J2 and am not having much luck doing citrus. Whether its grapefruit, oranges, or pineapple, it does ok for the first half of the fruit, then as it gets softer, the pulp starts backing up in the hopper, and the juice output is just drips, not a stream. I like the juices by themselves so don't want to mix them with something that might make the process easier. Any tips, or do you have another video on this subject? Thanks.
Citrus can be difficult for slow juicers. Here are my tips: 1. Select the hardest and firm citrus, they have a better texture and will juice better. Soft citrus will be more challenging to juice and also take longer because the processing blade pulps it before it is fed into the juicer. 2. Try to leave the peel on (if edible) such as limes and lemons, this adds more "body" and firm fiber that will work better 3. For oranges, and grapefruits, leave on as much of the white pith as possible 4. I would cut into quarters to work best. 5. Of course the best suggestion is to juice it with something firm, I like to juice citrus with Jicama which has a really neutral flavor, adds prebiotic fibers and mellows out the acidity of fruit juices.
The Nama j2 clogged up when I juiced ginger and carrots. I like ginger carrot shots and I like pineapple and ginger shots. This machine cannot handle it. It took me two hours of soaking the entire chamber then another hour of cleaning it after I got it open. That was the first time the second time I tried to make my ginger, carrot, shots or ginger, pineapple shots. I sliced up everything against the grain I put it in the machine, still clogged, but not as severely. I use tweezers to pull out pulp, then juice again and then unclogged and juice again.
Sorry to hear about your experience with the Nama J2. I wish I was there to see what happened. I have juiced that combo many times without incident. There are a few techniques that are essential to use when making that combo to prevent issues: 1. Slice ginger into 1/4" pieces against the grain. Do not put in whole. the long fibers can clog passageways in the juicer can cause it to clog. 2. When purchasing pineapple for juicing, select the MOST HARD and FIRM and green pineapple, soft ones tend to clog more. Furthermore the CORE of the pineapple should be properly precut against the grain into 1/4" pieces as well. 3. When you load the hopper, evenly mix all the ingredients together so the juicer can have many different textures to work with. with these tips, it should work much better.
I Just bought it with your discount code🎉 thank you!!! I was able to do a payment plan which is flexible for me 😊 I also added the sorbet attachment I’m sooo excited !!
Jah & Jahes love John. Thank you so much for making this video. I had wanted to know your opinion of the NamaJ2 for a long time. So glad that you made this video that compared the NamaJ2 to other similar juicers. I really want to get a NamaJ2 but I have to find some kind of payment plan. Blessed love.#1804 #Ayiti #ToutMounseMoun #AbolishCPS #AbolishPoverty #DefundFosterCare #ProChoice #RawVeganforLife #NamaJ2
Your Welcome. Nama has two payment plans available listed on their web site. Check their site at namawell.com/products/nama-j2-cold-press-juicer?ref=discountjuicers and checkout to see what they will offer you.
@rawfoods Hi John awesome videos 😊With the payment plan option available to purchase the juicer. Will I still be granted the warranty’s fully while selecting the payment method to purchase. I really need to purchase this juicer for health concerns and start juicing. Do you mind sharing your advice/ suggestions please Ty Have a blessed one
@@johnnatuttle4344 it not NAMA comming to your kitchen. You put water in the top and turn machine on, drain it out and it has cleaned a lot of the material out.
I had gotten the nutribullet slow juicer, largely based on your comparison video. Loved it but it simply stopped working after a month and a half. It was simply the juicer that fit my budget at the time. We tried all the troubleshooting steps amd reset it and then contacted the company for warranty. Was told they would get in touch with is in 24-48 hours...this was 6 days ago and I have yet to hear back from them. I'm replacing it with the J2, since you love it so much and it was clear in that video, even though you liked the NB Slow juicer too (it really does perform well when it works). I will hopefully have mine in a few days. We are using it because my father in law has rectal cancer and juicing has been a part of our routine for a few months now. I love inventing recipes though and the J2 looks like a blast to use. My 2 year old son loves putting fruits amd veggies into the machine and watching it get all crunched up.
If you turn the hopper upside down, you'll notice a rubber seal going around the circumference, maybe 1/2 inch from the bottom. Every time I screw the hopper onto the base, the seal comes undone and some of it sticks out. Maybe it's from not waiting for it to completely dry off after washing it?
I have not had this happen to my seal on the Nama J2. It is firmly seated in my juicer. On the other hand on the Hurom H310 the o-ring seal comes out every time.
@@discountjuicers From now on, I'll wash the juicer but not assemble it right away. I'll let it dry overnight and not put it together again until I'm ready to use it.
I used your code to purchase my J2. I know Nama is coming with a sorbet strainer but I wished in this video or the next one, you would test making sorbet with the smoothie strainer. You’ve tested everything under the sun except that. Let’s do it!
Hey Kieron, as soon as the official smoothie strainer is released, I will be sure to make a video with it! It works just like other vertical slow juicers when making sorbet.
I’m in the uk and on the strength of your video recently bought the nama. I juice everyday since I bought it. The customer service is excellent. They noted that I’d ordered the wrong plug and held my order until I confirmed that was what I wanted. I emailed that I’d ordered incorrectly and thanked them for spotting my error. I’m glad it’s got the 15 year parts now. I’ve got another juicer that you reccommended previously around 7 years ago. The pulp is drier but cleaning takes time and I have to stand over it, so it doesn’t get used much, only when I want to juice a batch of ginger which I then freeze. Thanks.
There is no vacuum juicing attachment available for ANY juicer. However you can use a vacuum blender to "vacuum juice" and you can store your juices under vacuum and remove dissolved oxygen in the juice after you make it as I show in the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kQI2x5x-DLw.html for all my tips.
I love your videos and all the tips and tricks! Was going to buy the Void System Adapter and lid for the Vitamix...do you stll recommend that (and vacuum juicing). I haven’t see you do videos on that lately so thought I'd ask😊 Thanks again for all your work on getting this great information out 🎉
I do recommend vacuum juicing for sure. The void can be used for vacuum juicing, however the carafe size is smaller, so you would need to process smaller amounts that say the dynapro which is better for vacuum juicing. I will have a more videos on the void system in the future.
And just got my new number GT in a week ago. I absolutely love it, but it is a little bit tricky to clean. I actually have to unscrew where does Paul comes out because my kale and celery kept getting caught in between the groove and it cannot come out with the stick and that it’s been great.
I encourage you to precut your kale and celery into 1" (or smaller pieces) when loading the hopper, and this will make it easier for the juicer to eject the pulp.
