Here’s a tip for extended juicing sessions that I discovered for vertical juicers that don’t have built in cooling fans. Set the juicer on top of an electronics cooling fan and have it pull the air down while juicing. These fans are cheap to buy and will prevent the juicer from overheating and shutting down prematurely. I’ve juiced 35 lbs of carrots in one session with the Slowstar many times without a hitch using this trick.
Wonderful! Wandering that if you’re reaching the recommended shut off time of the J2 how long to wait to power back up and continue to bulk juice? Thanks

I bought the Jama J2 from you & your # 1 rated blender...both boxes are right here..opening them today! ***Where is the link for the PINK vacuum pump....*** Pls...before they sell out, I want to get it...in past, they were sold out on Amazon.... I believe they sell this pump with both wide and regular Mason jar tops with lids...?
@@vitazgal9933 link is in the description of the video. The original link I had for the pink pump had the wide mouth lids. This time, the pink pump only comes with the regular mouth lids. www.amazon.com/SOCTKE-Stainless-Split-Type-Airtight-Fermentation/dp/B09ZHWHJ4B/
@@discountjuicers Thank you so much for the help... I just bought 2 (in case pump wears out...)..Questions: Are the Thin Mouth Mason Jars 12 oz? That's the largest I see on Amazon. #2... I thought reviews weren't so great with the thin mouth with this pump....? Can the BALL brand be used? I see other pumps that look similar that offer wide mouth top to use with Mason jars...do you feel any other wide mouth tops would work with this pink pump? Hopefully... Thanks for thinking about what might work...appreciate the input....

Hi John...If my comment was kept then you'd see three replies saying I understood what you were saying...I asked if you'd like the thread deleted..I shared that yes...it was altered to one sentence..not hidden with 'show more' option...and a total of three replies are not anywhere. Let it suffice that I get that you are not in any way ignoring or unresponsive. And..I thanked you for explaining how you thought things went. Are we good ? :) love your channel !
John you are a legend. Got this video playing in the background while bulk juicing beets, apples and cucumbers with my 9 year old Kuvings Whole slow juicer 😅 Vegan for the animals ❤ Salute as always from Holland 😊
Do you have a vacuum gage to show inches of Mercury that vacuum pump pulls. Perhaps you could do a comparison of the vacuum blender pump, this pink pump, and other vacuum pumps. Or a marshmallows test? Thank you so much,
It is on my todo list. Based on limited testing, I estimate the pink pump to pull about 22 inches of mercury is my guess. The pink pump pulls more than any electric pump I have tested to date.
@@discountjuicers I don't see the link for the pump....am I remiss? :( **** How dare you edit my question & remove my concern about this pink pump not offering WIDE MOUTH ability in Mason Jars as you put forth in your video... John, I want to make batches of celery juice, so I only have to do it 3x a week. In my little Omega vert, the celery juice tastes terrible the next day. I am filling the jars and storing it properly. I am wondering if this juicer would make a difference in the taste if I want to keep it for a few days, or is it just celery juice in general that doesn't taste good the next day.
No, the J2 makes juice that is similiar in quality in quality to the vrt. The main issue is storing the juice properly, see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kQI2x5x-DLw.html that being said, celery juice taste changes more quickly than other juices, you can minimize the taste change by adding lemon or lime and degassing it.
Yes, I have stored celery juice under vacuum. Up to 7 days, but I prefer 3 days when I store celery as the taste changes more quickly, so add lemon to help.
pink pump is no longer available. Thise one is the same: www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZHWHJ4B?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzjohnkohl-20&creativeASIN=B09ZHWHJ4B&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.16D1SVJUJ9UPO&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin&th=1
The 320 is not the same as the j2. That being said the pure will ALWAYS beat the nama j2 when juicing carrots. That being said, some nutrients will be higher from the pure, but some from the J2, IMO.
Had my first round on beet juice with my Nama j2 last night. I need to reduce my blood pressure that’s why I do it. I’m gonna be juicing at least 4 beets and their root daily, combining it with carrots.
I personally would never freeze my juice. The freezing/thawing process will lost more oxygen sensitive nutrients than storing it using my tips, in my opinion.
How did I miss this juicer? In January I purchased the Kuvings EVO820 which cannot do it. The pulp gets stuck under the screw and then I cannot get the juicer apart (with only 10 carrots). Perhaps I got a defective machine. I feel like I overpaid for something that doesn't satisfy my needs. MAJOR BUMMER! Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and get this one.
This juicer CAN juice wheatgrass. I will have a video on it. Its critical to do it in a specific way, or it wont work. See ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V5cpxNFZQI4.html for the specific tehnique. that being said, i recommend a horizontal juicer such as the solostar 4 or Sana 727 if you want to juice large quantities of wheatgrass regularly.
@@tanshievlogs Every Juicer has its own set of pros and cons that should be weighed carefully before purchase. In some ways the Sana 727 is superior to the Nama J2, but in other ways it is not. For ease of use, I choose the Nama J2 every time. For quality of juice, and yield, I would choose the Sana 727. Seemingly for those chained to office life and on the road at dawn plus buddy kitchenettes and crowds and other staff vita- mix / blender will have to do
At end u said this does not make the highest yield or highest quality. Since i dont have a shop that needs continuous juicing, (1) what is the best juicer for yields and what is best juicer for juice quality (2) ur video Timing the juice extraction shuld be supplemented with qty of yield extracted for different type of vegie/fruits tat r water poor. Thank u for respondind to my previous query which directed me to this video
For the most nutrition and yield buy a vacuum blender and juice with it. Watch: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7ILENcNpVOw.html where I compare three different styles so you can better undstand.
Hi I love your videos. I hear them back to back while I'm at work feeding animals. My question is since the nama j2 isent made for commercial use. Do you know of any good commercial juicers that compare to it? I currently own the Kuvings cs700. But I like how nama has that big box you can throw a bunch of things into and let it juice while your hands free. Would love to hear your suggestions even though you might not sell any of the commercial juicers you can suggest. I will continue to bring more people to this wonderful channel and help you in that regard.
The Nama J2 is made for HOME use, not commercial use. The CS700 is a commercial juicer. There is no hopper juicer at present time time that is a commercial juicer at this time.
John...I commented asking you about the pink pump & size of Mason thin jars...when you commented telling me/us that the pump now is only for thin Mason jars...I thanked you for the link and asked for help regarding the size of thin Mason jars as that brand /size is hard to find..unless it is 12 oz on Amazon... I asked if the BALL brand is worthy & if other other offerings for Wide Mouth Mason tops would work with this pump... MY comment was edited to one sentence & all else removed... Really? I have been a customer of your's for over 15 yrs paying full price for juicers & recently Jama2 & blender... I find this disrespectful & unethical....disturbing.. The questions are 100% appropriate and much needed seeing as you did not inform your viewers w that this pump will not offer wide mouth vacuum to Mason Wide Mouth Jars... Thanks ~
First, I did not remove your comment or edit them. RU-vid will allow me to remove comments from my videos, but it does not allow me to edit them. RU-vid can hide comments that it deems "inappropriate" so you would need to check with them to see where the comments went. They have done this to my comments before. I do not sell the pump or lids. I rely on places I can find them that I recommend to my viewers. I do this as a customer service to provide my customers a service they will not get elsewhere.. The wide mouth lids are not available at this time, as they keep going out of stock. Ball or mason jars are fine and widely available at walmart or target in store. They are made by Jarden are basically the same quality these days. The pink pump is a generic pump and can work with some other lids and accessories.
@@barbaramazzocca4605 I bought the new kuvings revo and it’s amazing. Completely different design from the old ones and I hardly had to cuz anything. I had large apples and carrots , and didn’t have to cut

You must have a massive refrigerator! I do 6-7 liters at a time and the J2 time savings are significant! At least 30 minutes faster for that amount. Also, the J2 puts much less pulp in the juice than any Hurom or Kuvings I ever owned.
Not true. With self feeding juicers, you always have more pulp in the juice than with normal juicers. An acquaintance returned the J2 because of too much pulp in the juice.
@@dopamin_express As indicated by the qualifying statement "I ever owned", I am commenting on my own experience based on the juicers I have owned over the years. Whatever experience your friend had is not my experience. In my experience based on how and what I juice, the pulp from the J2 significantly less than the last two Kuvings I've owned and any Hurom I owned before that. I struggle to understand why you would attempt to negate someone's comment because someone you knew had different outcomes...
@@dopamin_express I don't remember the model nos. of the juicers I've had over the years and I don't feel like searching. You can find videos on YT of the J2 producing less pulp than a conventional vertical juicer. There are so many factors in juicing outcomes yet you keep using statements like "impossible" and "always". What are you even basing those comments on?
@@yamamancha if you can‘t tell which model of Hurom you have, the discussion is fruitless. Compared wih new models of vertikal juicer self feeding juicer have more pulp in the juice. Which is quite logical, the larger quantities are juiced in one operation, the worse the juice quality.
what are the results if you do not chop produce other than juice timing? It seems to me the most attractive feature of this juicer is the " throw it in , set it and forget it".
Not chopping makes your juicer work harder which means it works slower and may need more monitoring for jams. If you do some pre chopping you save time and put less strain on your juicer in the long run.
You can in most cases put in whole fruits and veggies, the downsides: you can fit less in the hopper, so you will load it more. The other downside, is that in rare instances the machine may clog or jamb because some items are best precut (such as fibrous or stringy veggies)
