10 Things to do at Honeymoon Island State Park Florida 

Used to be a nice quiet island. Not anymore! Too many tourists and people. Traffic is now brutal just driving out to the island. Expect to wait 45 minutes in your car going nowhere and wasting gas.

I love Honeymoon! If you are staying anytime in Florida, get a state park pass! Well worth the money. Also, watch out for rattlesnakes on the island. I've seen them there multiple times!

We just got back from there this weekend...also BRING A PROPANE GRILL you can grill on the beach ONLY PROPANE no charcoal but makes the day so much more fun!

I live 10 minutes from Honeymoon Island. Currently there are a lot of rattlesnakes swimming in the water and slithering in the sand. We've had a lot of rain recently and the snakes are disoriented... Honeywood island has gotten crowded over the years and beach erosion is a problem. But it is beautiful
