On 12" uconnect find the seat heater controls in the settings. Touch and hold, then drag it to the bottom. You can do this and add a shortcut to your homescreen for whatever you want. You can also set the background to whatever trim. So you can change to the Laramie, Longhorn, Rebel, or Limited background. It will also change the dash screen with it. Also with the 33 gal tank and 2wd the range is nearly 1,000 miles on the Diesel. Better than any EV. Great video though!
Very true. As the current owner of a Gen3 Ecodiesel Ram abd the previous owner of a Hemi Ram, I can attest to how superior the ED is in overall power, smoothness, and a 40%+ difference in fuel economy over the Hemi. The difference in 0-60 is minimal, with most folks saying the Ecodiesel does 7.5 secs vs the Hemi's 6.5. Both of these are with a 3.92 rear gear.
#11 Thing you need to know: You were wishing for buttons for heated seats and steering wheel? Get the 8.4" screen option. Still a nice size screen, but a few more buttons on the dash, including the ones you're looking for! I'm glad I went with the 8.4" option!
Ah! I thought I noticed this on a few review (had all the physical buttons I wanted) but couldn’t find a nice side by side comparison of what you gave up for the huge screen (that seems meh after the initial amazement)
Eric: Thanks for converting fuel economy specs from l/100k to US and Imperial mpg stats. Very helpful and will lead me to look at your vlog again. s/kat/41.
point #4 hasn't really panned out in Canada. It was supposed to be a late year release and here we are in July and they have yet to release it in a tradesman in Canada. I even contacted Ram Canada and it was suppoised to be released already. I guess COVID has put an end to that too.
The emissions mess happened to Volkswagen. There has been no controversy over hiding emissions with FCA. Just because one automaker decided to fudge the numbers, doesn't mean that everyone did.
@@TheNovakReport think he means that all the emission controls mire diesel engines and are prone to issues/decreased performance. This is why many heavy duty pickup owners delete their emissions systems. It's not great for the environment but then again neither is a prematurely worn engine
..diesels are great. With price of about $2.50/L the end if '22. Diesel is Never cheaper than unleaded. Average .30/L more No advantages for this diesel. That is qhy they are canning it.
On the seat heating or cooling, they can also be accessed by touching the temperature indicator on whatever side you want to change. A drop-down menu will then be produced, where you can change the seat heat or cooling easily. Great video!!
Yes. The Ecodiesel on the Classic models is the Gen 2. There is a large difference with the Gen 3 Ecodiesel, where 80% of the parts are different and it also has much more HP and TQ. In addition, the 2019 + Ram is safer, stronger, and more aerodynamic. I wiukd rather have a 2019+ Tradesman Ecodiesel than a 2018 or below Limited Classic. There is that much difference in the overall power, reliability, safety, and fuel economy of the 2019+ Rams versus those before 2019 (the Classic models,). Save your money a little longer and buy a 2019 or later Ram. You won't ne sorry, especially if you're involved in a collision.
