Maybe he's like a lucky charm and you'll get married within the next 6 months. Cauz I was thinking the same. 😅However there goes my emerald dream !! 🤷♀️
I'm so stressed about this stupid engagement. I know I'going to get ripped off on the ring, don't know what type of ring to buy, don't know how I should propose. Meanwhile, my gf is pissed I'm taking so long. I wish I could just settle the engagement with a handshake and a beer and be done with it
I am sure she will be over the moon whatever you choose! If you are super unsure, get a temporary one and then let her choose. If you are worried about price, get a smaller diamond and upgrade it in the future! :)
@@daniellaminogue6701 Thanks for the advice. I don't mind spending some money, I just don't want to pay twice what something is worth, or get the wrong thing. Never really had to make a big investment in something I knew nothing about. I'd much rather just buy her a car, that would be 100x easier for me. But I'll figure this out eventually I suppose.
@@j_me Thanks for the advice. I ended up taking a lot of time researching diamonds online, and figured something out. I ordered one but it's completely the wrong size and now sending it back, hopefully I'll get it right eventually
This video is so beautifully made! The speaker seems so calm and intelligent! The video was really helpful and not just some random facts everyone knows 😍I absolutely loved it
This is all great information about engagement/wedding rings! I went with natural alexandrite for my center stone in a bezell setting; about two and half weeks from start to finish.
I orderd one and she didnt knew it and the day before i wanted to give it to her she left me .... 2599 euros for nothing ! Glad they understand it and gave my money back

I’m binge-watching Engagement Ring RU-vid videos because I’m a first-time buyer and I wanted to know more tips for the next time I’ll purchase more jewelry. Safe to say, I followed these tips and ended up with my adorable ring from Gem Jewelers Co. I’ll definitely go back there because of the countless design options and the amazing prices!
How many people are getting their partner involved in choosing what they want? I have managed to ask mine a couple times without giving the plan away and she gives me a different answer each time :(
If I chose an engagement ring, It would be a yellow Ascher cut stone, maybe two carats, solitaire, in a lowset white gold setting with double prongs. And some floral shank vine engraving.
Please don't waste your money on buying rings especially diamond rings it's a scam and it's worthless. Spend your money on investments that actually matter. I can't believe that people still think that these overpriced scams are worth it. Just look into how the de beers syndicate created the idea of a diamond engagement ring in 1938 and marketed it to everybody and now that's the norm.
I have never seen the ring 💍 my boyfriend bought himself only i have never been to any jewellery shop with my boyfriend i gave him my ring size he is hiding it all I know it is a friendship ring 💍 a sliver ring 💍 I am just wearing my claddgh ring as my engagement ring now he must be playing it himself i come from a jewellery family but I don't know what a friendship ring from my boyfriend has in a box
I feel bad for guys as they don’t get anything close to what we get in a proposal and such an expensive ring. I guess I am one of the few who believes relationships should revolve around both since the first date.
Single single but for some reason, YT found it necessary to drop this in my recommends, and don't even know why I'm watching 😅 Also keeps showing Brilliant Earth ads. Lol maybe they know something I don't.
Hi please help! i am wondering my sister just got 3.60gr diamond ring, i google it, it says around 18karat/ carat? And price around $4.000 australian dollar and i went to jewelry shop yesterday and i like one of the ring, cost $4.500 aus dollar, but it says 0.95 Carat TW Of Diamonds In 14kt White Gold, not even 18ct, so i mean why are they different? Means 0.95 is not good ? But why more expensive than 3.60gr diamond ring? Thank you.
Hey hey jeweler from indonesia here... So basically 18k and 14k means how much gold % in your ring.. 18k means = 75% gold 14k means = 60% gold And 0.95crt means weight of the diamond. And about the price like in this video the price is from many thing for 1 rings.. so you need to find someone you trust, to appraisals "the ring" I hope this help..
Diamonds are not precious stones, a sapphire is. As soon as you buy a diamond ring the jewellers class it as scrap the value most will buy off you is 10 percent of what you paid for it. Get a Sapphire.
The video is a bit misleading is some places. For example material selection. Hardness is not the only mechanics property that matters. Things like the toughness of the metal (the capacity of a metal to not break when a significant force is applied) are important too. Also pure Silver (~250 HV) is harder than pure Gold (~200 HV). Of course this changes depending on what and how gold and silver are alloyed. If you got a friend in the sciences ask for their opinion advice along with the retail jeweler. At the end of the day its your choice.
Went with about 3 hours salary (not a typo) engagement ring and had her come with me to pick it out. LOL. I do things my own way. Got a nice rose gold band with a little diamond. It’s what she liked. She is a Filipina with tiny hands. Planning on getting a $120 rose gold/ silver plated tungsten band for myself. 😂
Don't suppose you guys can source rough/raw diamonds? Not a fan of the typical diamond but I love the natural look of raw, not a very sparkly person lol
I actually cast my original wedding band, but I have a ring with a 1.14 k diamond and a ring with a 2.5k diamond along with a 1.5k half eternity band. Can you ever have enough? Lol
From what he's saying would 9 carrot gold not be more durable if spending the money you'd like to know that it could be worn often rather than been stored away just because it's soft ???
I love how he kept saying "a ring that fits you" "you'll be wearing it the rest of your life"... Last I checked woman don't buy engagement rings for themselves 😂. I'm certainly not going to propose to her and wear the ring myself!
Yeap. I leaned this a couple weeks ago. Besides the engagement ring, you will need another 2 rings for the bride and the broom which are the wedding rings.
Think about this simple logic people: If you were going skydiving but before you go the instructor says "There's a 2 out of 3 chance that the parachute wont open or we can just not go at all" are you getting on that plane?
Never sign a contract with someone who is awarded for breaking said contract. Basically a marriage in a nutshell. Cant get mad at these diamond dudes for selling diamonds to simps
This is a great video! My fiancé just ordered my ring and he convinced me into wanting 18k White gold. So happy he did, I just knew it was more expensive, but you explained it in great detail.
You didn’t buy him anything like that? The experience is great even though its sexist and only revolves around us. I just feel bad for guys. They don’t get anything and still put all the work for these things 😕.
@@laylalayla6630 what are you even talking about! How can you know what someone got and or what men get. Feel bad for your man if you even have one. Mine is great and does for me as a result of me doing for him. We spoil each other thank you!
@@ejohnson5316 I feel bad for the guys. Guys do so much for us. In most cultures around the world romance seems to focus on us while guys have to do it all: approach us, ask us out, pursue us, court and romance us, pay for everything, propose, save like 3 months of their salary to buy us a ring, talk to both families, etc. And all we do is show up to the date? Thats cold haha! I might get weird looks from friends but I do those things for the guy I am seeing just like he does for me. Come on girls. Lets put some effort for the guys just like we expect from them.
@@laylalayla6630 If you think all women do is show up to the date then I’m questioning if you are a woman at all. A real man understands why certain things are expected of him, and a real woman knows what to require and what may be old fashion, traditional, and ridiculous.
@@ejohnson5316 Because when it comes to dating thats what is usually seen. I don’t see any valid reasons to not do the things I mentioned. Of course I like it when a guy does those things for me but I also enjoy doing them for him. Not sure why most women don’t want to do them. Do you do the things I mentioned or do you believe only men should do them?
