About voice acting I recall Malie Flannigan the voice of Naruto admitted on twitter she DID NOT dub for this game, if what she says is true that means Bandai used Ai voices they trained to sound like the original voices, but they still sound a bit robotic

one people dont talk about is the button inputs compared to storm 4 the responsive of you input has been reduced or outright blocked until the animation ends. it also doesnt help that you cant practice while you wait on ranked because you will either disconnect or have you button commands scrambled due to a glitch.

Their is no way people take ninja storm serious enough to where they try to go pro in it, that cant be real

I just bother with the numbered titles even if none of them are perfect. At least in the first 3 games, the narrative presentation blew younger me away with its manga-accuracy and appealing 2D-to-CGI visual transition.

I really hope they add a tint system or some kind of color editing because there are too many characters who only have one alternate color while others, mainly leaf ninja, have multiple colors with multiple costumes. The updated customization is a good start and I hope they improve on it.

jup.. i love to play 1 support teams, my main team is sasuke 5 kage summit and zabuza, but if i face a shino with pain and naruto it MUST be a perfect blue bar or i just lose.. and even then, i even feel like the accidently switched up the fact that in past games 1 support loaded back faster then when you use 2 but on this game it even feels that 2 supports load back even faster..

Can they please bring back the death screams characters make when you finish them with Ultimate jutsu? In 3, when base Kavuto hits Mei Terumi with that final Chakra dissection blade after the soul technique, her scream was eerie and agonizing and awesome. Now, when they are killed with ultimate jutsu, they are silent. Ugh

1:22 the reason for that is the game is rated pegi 12 same with hitting sounds for example sasuke's sword slash sounds childish/squeaky instead of real flesh cutting sounds and when you hit characters there is no blood no bruises no cutting wounds because of the rating if they posted that blood and the features i mentioned this game would get at least pegi 16 in japan the rating is taken pretty seriously its not like in europe/usa where parents can buy their childeren games like gta as for the previous titles back then (2008/2015) the rating rules werent sooo strict nowadays it is so to be able to reach a wider range for customers to buy that bandai made those censorships to get the pegi 12 rating

I was a big Naruto fan and ones I finished playing this game I hit my mid life crisis and was honestly thinking about putting down my headband and never play a Naruto game again

three characters for kakashi and there wasn't even a separate one for hokage/boruto kakashi and instead made them costumes of double sharingan kakashi which is absolute bullshit

I might just stay on storm 4 with pc mods

The game is fun have a 100 hours into it if they would just fix the broken shit then maybe this game would survive

I don't know why they always fucked it up when it comes to naruto games. Ever since online came, naruto storm always lack of content (no ninjutsu clashes, no wall fighting, no intros, no free mob battles in storm 3) because they are scared that the game will be unbalanced and it would fucked up their net code. whoever the director in that department needed to be fired tbh

3:48 what's worse about the gaara is that only 1 of them goes into shukaku mode. That's the only difference with those 3. All same jutsus, all same combos, all same ults

Wait a minute but the ability to select your justu before the match hasn't been in the games since the part 1 Naruto games then when the shippuden games came out we didn't have that until storm 4

I have two things to say after finishing this. First, I think the original story is a good idea. In fact, it is quite literally the only time I have ever enjoyed the post-Naruto setting in Boruto. Using existing lore, tying the villain to Pain, and focusing on such things as the existence of shinobi in a world of peace - that is, IMO, what Boruto should be about. Focusing needlessly on the stupid aliens is just...it's not it, and I fucking loathe it. Now, I've had preferred this story in the cinemas as opposed to being tacked on to a game - and I think having more time would have done it better - but I don't begrudge them a new original story over whatever nonsense is going on in the anime and manga. And they did not care about pulling in Boruto fans, one look at the boxart should tell you that LMFAO. Secondly, it isn't your business who still plays the game. Whether or not someone thinks the game is "ass" but still plays it isn't relevant to you. I've not picked the game up since in AGES now, but if someone is continuing to play it, and gets any sort of fulfilment out of the game - that's on them, and you should let them.

I played storm 4 and this game seems like the same shit💀

For me it's that the substitution is still broken. 1.Some characters have long distance first hit attack so they substitute behind you and they don't have to do chakra dash to reach you, they just instantly combo you in your back, giving them huge advantage making them just straight OP. So they should fix that by increasing distance beetwen characters by 40-60%. 2.Second problem is also with substitution, after you stubstite an jutsu of support or player, why you can still get hit with second or third hit box that occure? Just in case they should give you immunity to other jutsu effects. 3.Big awakenings should force a long distance substitution teleportation, because you just getting instant combos :/ 4. Awakening transformations are too short, only 12 seconds... what? I think they should remove guard breaks boost and making awakenings last 1 minute like in Storm 1.

Wait for storm 5 if you want those characters

They just keep removing things from the characters, from 4 combos to 3, to shornening them to make the matches quicker, removing tilts and CS, its crazy. Just looks lazy

2 things i wanna point out about why this game combat suck right now: 1) Right now every fight is a competition of who can throw more jutsus, every intention of doing something more tactical has gone, and one of the reason (outside of superarmor jutsus) is that chakra loads automatically, which encourage the players to keep spaming jutsus. 2) Supports are broken, not only they’ve superarmor as well, but they also charge way faster that in Storm 4.

12:45 This point right here is exactly why I didn't buy Connections. I bought the Legacy bundle instead, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Now, I have all four UNS games in one place to play whenever I want, however I want. #NotABlindConsumer #BuyersRemorse

The thing that pisses me off is that all these things could have been in storm 4 as dlc there was literally NO REASON to make another game, storm 4 was perfect

I think the biggest flaw with this video is the 'recommended characters', like no one cares about the 7 Mist Swordsmen or the random Sound Ninja from the Chunin Exams, y'all can't even name them and no one would play them, neither is there enough content to give any of the a full moveset, the only acceptable "missed character" you brought up was Kurenai

I love how in every video about connections i see the same players i play with on steam. There's hardly anyone playing this damn thing so it's always the same people lol. I bought it because steam in Argentina was about to switch to US dollars payments, and buying early in pesos cost me like 7 bucks, but i'm not spending a cent for DLCs

I absolutely hate it and feel like the game is way too offense based now but you are much more experienced than me and I would love your take.. I will say, though, the whole story with Nanashi wasn't super terrible. The fact it was just fighting with Boruto behaving almost more like his dad than his dad himself was a little annoying, but Nanashi and the sealing ideal was interesting. If it wasn't for that true ending, the way it initially ends would have been super sad, sorta like Haku. However, harnessing her power and making up a new Mangekyo technique was kinda badass, and seeing Naruto and Sasuke fight was epic. The visuals weren't bad in that story. The expressions were kinda on point. But the problem was, that's where all their energy and budget had to have went. It's sad in that manner. Also, bring back ninja tool customization. I miss the Level 3 lightning kunai that can stun, and the sleep tags. Oh, and I mentioned Mei Terumi before, but if you have the 4th game, end someone with her ultimate jutsu in that game, and then do it in connections. Listen to her English cutscene, "it's a shame but, I'll watch you melt.... Oooooh!" The difference is hilarious.

I’m so irritated with the game it self because I was so excited to actually fight against jigen and isshiki but instead they decided to give us some stupid story that either didn’t happen in the series or that it happened later on, why on earth would they skin some of the timeline, I’ve noticed that in the other games they went with the timeline, I didn’t really care for the repeat of it but still, this game is absolutely BS, I really hope that they fix it because if not then we will most likely know what will happen, I totally agree with everything that this guy said and it boils my blood, I said finally I’m not the only one that’s pissed off about this 🙄🤦‍♂️

Coming from someone who enjoys this game. I agree with eveything said in this video. I understand why it’s considered a bad game. It’s just not bad to me, I love fighting games. And the fighting and combos is really fun for me. I’m simple 😄

I can actually defend #8 because this isn't ninja storm 5. It's one of those in between games which explains why certain features like costume customization was brought back and it has its own custom story. Unlike the other games there is no animated scenes (that I know of) or any new mechanics like the tournament mode from ninja storm revolution. This also sadly means that we won't have an updated game with a good Naruto story mode. The next game will most likely be purely Boruto story mode wise. My only hope is that they're releasing this as a test or something for the actual NS5. This was still clearly a cash grab game from a huge company for a huge series that we haven't gotten any content from IN YEARS. This is worse than just lazy. This looks like they're sabotaging it on purpose because you can still be lazy and have at least some creativity. Plus a game series like this isn't something that ANYBODY should be lazy for.

They did do black blood but it came threw purchase back when it came out if I remember

This was a well put together video! I absolutely enjoyed it! You literally named all my problems with the game in one video! As a dishonorable mention, the box art for this game is FUCKING HORRENDOUS! Probably the WORST looking one of all the Storm games! When the game was announce, this was the image they used as a "place holder," until the full game was out. But instead, THIS was the actually box art they wanted to use!?! In fact, it's the Storm Legacy box art, but with less effort put into it! Seriously! The Storm Legacy Collection is a FAR BETTER looking box art than this trash! They could have made up for it with adding The Last Naruto, or hell, Hokage Naruto! But no, "We're CyberConnect2, We don't put effort into fun." Also, you would think with "BORUTO'S" name in the title, he would share the spotlight with Naruto, but again, Nope. Anyways... I especially loved your speech at the end! You are exactly right! Naruto fanboys are complaining, but that's not stopping them from playing it. Which is NOT a good sign to see. It really does make CC2 think they don't need to try as hard to "please" the Storm community. Fans will still buy the game and play it. And worst of all, uploading gameplay footages of them playing the game consistently online. I hate to admit, but if I was in CC2's shoes and fans were complaining about the game but still playing and supporting it, I guess I wouldn't bother trying to fix the game either. That's also why CC2 doesn't bother trying to fix things. Say like, rage quitters that's been a problem for a long time. They don't punish rage quitters in these Storm games. And the community has been complaining about it. But who cares? The fanboys will still upload their gameplay footages and play the game. So why try to fix it? Exactly. I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻‍♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why haven't they been playable?!?!?! Same with team Samui and the demon Brothers and Ginka and Kinkaku. They ALL had models and movesets in old game so why not make them playable. Cc2 is so ass, dude! I've been playing storm 1 from the trilogy and omg they fucked storm up so much! They washed it down and left it dry in later games. So unfortunate.

They ruined movesets taking away side combos, tilts, jutsus. This game should’ve added everyone you said and then some and dlc should not be one person at a time. This game was never complicated at its highest and at its lowest movesets feel lackluster now. The voice acting is god awful in dub now half is a.I. I think they recasted Sakura and they definitely recasted pain when they didn’t need to. They won’t listen cause people will see 150 characters and tag team explosions and cream their pants. And the online wooow that is abysmal you should always just pick your characters before the match starts. It’s laughable some people are just ports from uns2 when that came out god knows how long ago. They haven’t been listening ever and they never will. I don’t own this game so I’m learning more and more each day how much I don’t even wanna bother anymore. Idk if they will ever care. To a new player this game will look like there is a ton of characters etc but the more you play the more u realize oh wow a reskin oh wow an awakening that does nothing. Fighting games need to stop with the casual appeal they all suffer from it.
