I learned something very significant just from #1. Kawhi's father was shot and killed when he was 16. That would somewhat explain his character and demeanor. That is tragic for any child, and there's no telling how that affected his life thereafter. He appeared to be very expressive and happy in his younger photos, and perhaps all of that changed at 16. As well, what kind of coach thinks he has a right to tell a kid how to wear his hair? What does that have to do with basketball? Nothing. I'm glad he went elsewhere and found success.
