Neji used to be my favorite character, but I didn't like how the creators stoped his development and killed him off as a way to further push Naruto and Hinatas relationship. Great video btw.
The sad part is that if Neji were kept alive, he could have played an essential role in changing the Hyuga clan. He could have ended the lower and higher branch hierarchy and even led the clan. All Hinata is doing now is being a housewife. If Tenten gets matched up with Lee, then that would be borderline stupid. It's lazy writing and poor planning.
I would have been alright had Hinata died, admittedly. I know it was an end all ship but their development past friendship came too hard and too fast for me. Neji had more potential and I really wanted him to change things for the Hyūga Clan. 🤷🏻♀️
@@eveandras5371 No hinata SHOULD NOT die.... but I do agree with the whole fast relationship development with Naruto and Hinata. I think at least put a little more into that then just making a alright movie. And Neji Was an amazing ninja and forever will be
Magnorphieous The Great in Naruto they focused more on uchias but I think I'm boruto they'll now focus on hyugas n new doujutsus -_- y did he have to die...tho..T-T
@@lordgonzo6611 I feel like he would have been a better candidate for hokage if they kept him because he was already a jonin. Out of all the rookies he was the strongest physically and mentally. (no i dont mean muscle, I mean capability to get out a fight with out a scratch... no pun intended cuz my nigga dead)
Smooth Jammin I think if Neji never died (or if Hinata died instead.) he would have been the leader of the Hyuga clan instead of Hanabi since he would’ve been the strongest one in the clan.
Neji (and the Hyuuga clan in general) had so much potential yet Kishimoto stopped giving them attention in order to make the Sharingan OP. Where is justice in stopping Neji's development?
Nor have a major interaction... But yeah a real face off of the two most powerful clans would have been so epic!! Even if for fun or competition but still...
@@xile680 yes it is, didn't madara and the first hokage (i horgot his name but it starts with an H) create konoha? before neither of their clans belonged to a village
Neji to me didn't have to die...should have been Hinata's father and that would have been better impact because then Hinata like Naruto would be without parents; Naruto would have wanted to take care of her more and the relationship would have been more deeper because he was by her side more. Neji was a spokesperson but he would have questioned Naruto intentions toward her and that would have been a better development to me because then Naruto would have thought about her words during pains fight and realize "Hey she does care for me" then he could have pursued her better. Plus there had been snippets of Naruto taking care of Hinata against bullies in some of the filler episodes when they show the characters as kids. Too bad the creator was not good with romance... although the movie was not bad.
also it would alleviate any tensions between the branches of the family and even remove them. feels like old man (hinatas dad) got off easy after all the bullshit he made Neji and the rest of theater hyuga branches go through.
Kishimoto: Neji had to die to push Naruto and Hinata together. *They don’t get together until the last WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH NEJI* They seriously did my man dirty. I loved Neji. I’d smash....at least we have fan fiction.
Minato & Kushina dying is the foundation of this whole story, and Jiraiya’s passing was the turning point for Naruto. Without those losses and hardships, his character wouldn’t develop the way it did(well it’s all make-believe so it could’ve). It be like watching a variation of DB. So, to me Neji never passing wouldn’t have changed the story much, so killing him off was only something to pull at the audience emotions and show the tragedy of war. Neji could’ve possibly made the Boruto storyline better, yet still not take away from Naruto storylines as a whole.
Yaass, TenTen is very beautiful! Kishimoto said that he likes her design than all the other girls. He could've just let her have Neji, she already didn't get anything, especially screentime. 😔
It would have been cool if Tenten had Neji's kid and there child was one of the strongest members in the next generation having the scrolls and byakugan.
Scrolls omg weapons ahh run ahh. They’re absolutely horrendous and never did anything in the series. Let’s be real here, without plot her scrolls wouldn’t have done a scratch.
It annoys me how behind died man . Kiba can piss of with his dog man . If neji had a kid in boruto s generation , that kid would stomp and we could have this aspect of boruto having a cousin. plus I'm pretty sure naruto and Hinata could have gotten together without his death . Anyway sick video 😂👌🏾
Imdasauce that would be dope because Boruto is apart of the main branch family and it would be funny for his cousin to be like "I must protect the main branch" whenever Boruto tried to do anything 😂
At one point Kishimoto admitted to killing Neji off because the American audience was demanding some kind of casualty from the war. He fell into peer pressure and killed Neji. BUUUUTTTT Later off Kishimoto changes his answer to something like "Neji was NaruHina's cupid." I call it as I see it. Kishi killed a good character due to peer pressure.
"Gaara's sand is the ultimate defense" "Palm rotation is ultimate defense" "Susanoo is ultimate defense" When will you learn there's always a better defense
I DON'T CARE LET HIM LIVE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The reason Neji ultimately died is because he was too sophisticated of a character for the context of Naruto and Kishimoto is not competent enough of a writer to proportionately develop him--that, and the fanbase itself of Naruto was predominantly simple, and therefore he went underrated
*If you think about it:* Neji _really_ didn't have to die. Kishimoto said his death was supposed to *"bring naruto and hinata together"* but in Naruto: the Last Movie, it was Hanabi's kidnapping that got them together... sooo... he kind of died for nothing 😐
When you explained the TenTen parte, I wish you'd put a scene where TenTen thinks "Neji why did you leave me alone" (of course he was already dead) and ir was so sad, I can't remember the chapter tho.
10:20-10:30 "Neji and Tenten sitting in the tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G 💑 First comes love, then comes marriage 💕💕💞💞 Then comes the baby mama in the carriage..." This outshined everything in this video! XD But I still wonder why Kishimoto didn't give the Hyuga clan to defeat Kaguya, this annoyed me. A nice reason for why Neji should've been alive.
I'm just reading the comments rn and it's all so true!! I mean, Kishimoto forgot about the Hyuuga, he was too blinded by the Uchiha Clan, and what makes me more sad about his death is that he had future, I mean if he was going to kill him, it could've been later, or Even significative, not some sticks on the back, his Kaiten could've easily stopped that, it's just si stupid, and I'm sure there were other ways to make Naruto and Hinata end up together, like killing Hiashi, or (I wouldn't like this either) Hanabi, or better: NOT killing any of the known characters, Even if he didn't have a child in Boruto he could've Taken good care of Himawari, Even date TenTen and make some cute scenes, or become friends with Gaara (I doubt it but let me dream), there were so many f*cking options and by now I'm literally crying and it's 4 a.m. and my mom is sleeping right in the next bed
ReSt Blaze Naruto could have adopted a child like Gaara did. It would have been better imo since we would have a new main character who isn’t directly related and too similar to Naruto.
Your correct. Its stated Thats why as children they never fought because neji was perfect and sasuke a genius. One would of lost themselves if they would have battled. So yeh systematically they let neji down to uplift sasuke
Key you Sasuke fanboys always forget that while his speed and skill where raised by the Sharingan, much like the Byakugan did to Neji. That never explained why Sasuke’s sharingan gave Sasuke a Kyuubi level chakra. Which allowed him to summon chakra Samurai at will
The hyuga had such a cool story that was completely sidetracked for the cooler looking eye and now they're reduced to new stupid flashy eyes like the tensiegan and the jogan(probably) why can't boruto have some story(good story(that makes sense(and aren't just asspulls, fuck my dad, asspulls) :(
I wished to see Himawari pinning a sunflower on his hair 🌻🌻🌻 And Neji could have married Hinata herself if he were alive, but NejiTen is much much better than NejiHina.
Yet there never was any hint of them getting together..during his death, we see Tenten having just a sad look while Lee cried his eyes out..if you have feelings for someone you can probably shed a tear or 2 when they die..
Still better than all end-game pairing except Shikamaru and Temari. Because unlike most pairings, Neji and Tenten actually knew and respected each other.
@@A_leXs Unfortunately this was her reaction because Kishimoto didn't care for her character one bit. He said he liked her design the most, but he abandoned her character development. In Tenten dream world episode she was wary of all the situation and didn't trust people until Neji praised her - then she succumbed to illusion.
if neji was alive i would hv loved him to go against his family to marry tenten. even in boruto tenten is out of the girls meeting. i want to see her full potential too
You left out one important fact regarding Kobayashi/Kishimoto Interview. Kishimoto says that ‘if’ there is a manga about Bolt, he wants to include scenes focusing on Neji.
Neji had potential to be a character just like sasuke (Skill/Fighting wise.. same with Lee give that nigga 8 Gates and Kakashi give the mans 1 EMS. And the hyuga clan had so much potential Fam dont even get me started on the uzumaki clan massacre 😤They wouldve been so op Minato as leader (ik hes not a uzumaki) and Naruto would be following the Throne. Neji would be hokage level he’s smart like Kakashi/Shikimaru
I have a theory (and also a burning passionate request) that Neji will drop in on Konoha as a mind-controlled villain. Remember his seal can be used by main branch hyugas only, so what if only main branch members in otsutsuki, the rival opposite of Toneris side branch explaining the family infighting, OR someone like Kara's leader who likely killed and otsutsuki and receive new sealing techniques as Boruto did, actually know the secrets to reverse Nejis seal upon revival, and they fight Naruto one last time? Since mind control and spontaneous rebirth are now possible from GNW4 to the Boruto Arc, that would be awesome if the Kara organization (with many members who are now middle-aged) were younger and plotting right from shippuden. They may have started as messengers and recruiters for angered people from small towns constantly being bombed and attacked by The Biju (Ten tails taking out small towns randomly), the Akatsuki (Deidara, Kakuzu) and Former Akatsuki, even worse 🤔😂 (Orochimaru, Sasuke on his gay adventures with Taka). With Kara's knowledge of seals I definitely note that they could have Uzumakis in their clan as well, also fed up with their hometown being destroyed by envious clans, looted occasionally (again, Orochimaru) and being neglected by larger nations for over 40 years. Kara recruiting members like Neji in addition would be dope, as the Boruto Arcs revived shinobi seem to be coming back only from GNW4 (Ao for example, plus the fact that he's now in Kara as well, and If I'm not mistaken one of the Kara Insiders, higher than outsiders). Kara may have a bigger plot to use insiders & outsiders to destroy each village simultaneously after sealing away the Hokages, Junchurikis, and Royal bloodlines (Hence Boruto fighting Kara #2, Kawaki with Roman #2 tatted Kawaki's face) after everyone else in Konoha is either dead or sent off Kawaki Arm seal. Just a thought lol.
Neji had to die. He was deeper, more appealing than naruto. He had more potential and the writers couldn’t have had that. When you think of neji, what do you think of? Drive, determination, never ending desire to always be best. And what made him so persuasive as a character was he never had to prove anything. As long as he knew that he was the strongest/best that’s all that mattered, Whats better than someone who has to prove him self? Someone who doesn’t. He had to die, he threatening narutos story line.......... Neji had to die. RIP.
Neji died because he admired naruto and in the end he always wanted to protect hinata.... When neji was dying he said naruto you hold more than one life in your hands..... These words made naruto realize about hinata... Though not instant but afterwards.... Neji willingly sacrified himself when he saw hinata stood infront of naruto to protect him.... Seeing this neji jumped on his own and protected both.... It was admiration... He than felt how his father felt while protecting the loved ones.... Neji was a fabulous character.... And his honorable death as a shinobi made him more heroic... Though it was very sad but the character neji at last showed that his emotions of protecting the loved one was more stronger than his realistic and logical thought.... He was always realistic and logical but at the very end he proved how strong he felt about both of them.....
i actually liked the neji and lee relationship it reminded me of kakashi and gai one is cool and calm and the other is always on fire gai and lee both started out weak but got trained hard just to compete and gain respect from their rivals, you could even see the growth of Neij's respect for lee, when team gai first started neji said lee was weak and would never go far in taijustu fast forward to the chunin exams neji was surprised at how strong lee was
