I first saw Corey play when he was 3yrs old and it was obvious then that he would be an accomplished keyboardist. It is a joy to see how far God has brought him,. Great video.
I love the musician's reaction on the left when Corey switches to the "Bach sound". It's as if something Ancestral has been awakened in him that he resonated with instantly. He felt that in his Soul... lol Brilliant!
Yes we understand the struggle musicians go through thus many change genres just to get more bookings and airplay. But mannnn, I miss this Cory. This is the one the world n million viewers fell in love with. Please hear our heart's cry, we need our Cory back😭😭😭
The greatest keyboard solo. Easily the best and least argued with title for a clip. LOL. I don't even have an idea where to learn lines like this and I've been playing 20 years.
BONUS FEATURES: 11. Cory VS Shaun "Strawman" Solos 12. Cory solos so hard the Brass Players had "stank" faces at The Mint, Los Angeles. 13. Cory at "Doobie Powell Shed (2014)" 14. you're stuck in a rut, but you don't know it, you exist on routines and habits without real eyes, without realizing it, and then boom this syncopated groove, polyrhythms shake your boots, destroying your post-modern slumber, dumps a load of wonderment on your synapsis forcing you to questions the boundaries, the shackles placed on your perceptions. Music like this should come with a health warning, too much of what does you good, can wake you, rock you, and woke you, as sure as any other kind of drug. Trippy.
one of the hippest kids merging gospel, fusion, jazz, and classical stylings... but will he find a genuine black-classical (jazz) voice, like McCoy or Herbie....or go on to MD n do gigs n churches etc... perhaps he needs a 'Miles' figure to take him to the final level... he could definitely breathe that air... where are all the muthafucking bandleaders these days...?
