While she's usually a damsel in distress, Nintendo has let Princess Peach be a badass on a few memorable occasions. For this list, we'll be looking at moments where Peach was in no need of rescuing. However, we won't be including moments from comics or cartoons. Our list includes Powered Up Princess from "Super Mario 3D World" (2013), Maximum Sass from the "Super Mario Strikers" Series (2005-22), Paper Parasol from "Super Paper Mario" (2007), and more! I remember how some people called Super Princess Peach a "sexist" game for giving The Titular Princess emotion based power-ups, but it has a much deeper meaning if you look more closely. The Toads and Bowser's Troops could not control their emotions after The Vibe Scepter came into the picture. Only Peach could. The fact that she keeps her emotions in check and uses one at a time with just a press on the DS touch screen actually makes her much stronger than what Nintendo intended.

Mario Adventures Comic Peach was a fun one. Still a damsel, but can take care of herself and kick butt. And she looked good in Luigi's overalls.

Princess Peach is my favorite Mario character! Even though she's notorious for being kidnapped, Princess Peach is so beautiful, sweet, talented and a real tough cookie when she wants to be, and I love her for it, and I'm sure Mario loves her for it too! 💕👑👸👑💕

Hopefully Mario Odyssey will be the LAST mainline game where she gets kidnapped. Seeing Peach reject both Mario and Bowser and walking away is such a satisfying end to this Helpless Damsel Arc.

For special matters I'll say this for the beautiful Princess Peach she was a badass heroine in her own spin-off game Super Princess Peach. Princess Peach has the abilities of her emotions to tackle challenges and complete missions and use her abilities and powers to defeat enemies and bosses. If Princess Peach used those abilities and powers to take down Bowser for all the times he kidnapped her she would use those abilities and powers for revenge against Bowser for messing with her all the time. If Princess Peach was a badass princess Mario would have Princess Peach as his partner to fight alongside him which would be incredible.

Such an odd sexism itself. A female opponent isn't a stand in for all women everywhere, and entering a tournament puts her on equal footing with the other combatants. It's no more "violence against women" than a male opponent would be "violence against men" and people need to stop depersonalizing women.

Because the Legend of Zelda series doesn’t get much for spin offs or party/sports games like the Mario series. But those style of games don’t really fit the LoZ universe as a whole, I can see Link and Zelda crossing over for a Mario spin off, but the spin off games really let Princess Peach’s character shine. The Mario series and the LoZ series really run on two different formulas. That could be said for the characters as well, Peach is the same character each game she appears in, Zelda is a collection of reincarnated girls with the same name, but are completely different characters in the long term of things.
