Here is mine: Detection range and walking speed of the figure increases the more books you collect. Be sure to distance yourself even more so after collecting many books. In speed running, you can outrun the figure standing up until book 3. After collecting book 3, crouch instead.
Detect range does not increase. I have been hiding near the door and reading the paper. I took all 8 books and im at the same spot he dosent detect me at all. If you dont move he barely detects you
@@Mrlemonsyoutube been hiding the cabinet on the passcode door on the left. He still dosent approach me. Things like detect range is not gonna increase only speed. In common sense if he is panic'ing obviously his sense gets weaker and disturbed. I have been following him from behind to save time. And yet with no books im a bit close to him with 8 books I was also a bit close to him and should not be a surprise but he didnt detect me
@@warrenmoore7784 Safe spot for reading paper near the code door as far as I know is near the door. Just right and you should see a back of a cabinet. I sometimes read it there. And dont move since one of its death messages might have point out not moving at all he barely approaches you
Also: if you're on multi-player make sure all your teammates are upstairs/near the exit, otherwise figure will head straight towards them and kill them the moment you unlock the door
Another tip: Not sure if this still works, but if the Figure isn't aware of your location, I believe the main door that you went through is safe to stand by if you need the time to think.
True because i hid there multiple times beside plants while crouching and figure didnt caught me, its unsafe if you stand up and walk to it while being followed by figure tho
number 10 is also useful if you're playing multiplayer. when you enter the code and open the doors, the figure will end up kinda like how he is on door 100. basically he can see where you are at all times plus the speed he gained when you found a book. anyone still in the room when the doors close is doomed unless they can stall enough to get errored edit: when i said errored i meant glitched edit2/tldr: someone put a summary in the replies, should be 3rd reply
As someone who has won 13 times and now attempting speedruns, I can say this is all good advice for any situation. I'll go ahead and add some extra: 1. Expect the unexpected, Figure's movement pattern changes depending on where the most books are. For example, if there are more books upstairs, he will stay there longer. He can also do something completely unexpected that isn't part of his pattern, which has killed me several times. For example, sometimes he HAS come to the lock, then went through the gap between the bookshelf and the plant to the closet I was standing near waiting for him to leave, then caught me off guard and killed me. Or, sometimes he does the opposite, and comes from the side of the upstairs area with the blocked off stairs, then goes to the closet for no reason and from there goes between the gap to the locked door. 2. Identify when he's chasing you and when he isn't. Sometimes he will walk your way, but if he knows you're there and is chasing you, his speed can increase and he will roar. 3. Guessing the code can be a good option if you can't find the last one or two books. It isn't always a great idea for speedruns, but if you get lucky and are in desperate need of time, it can save you some. Don't know how? If you're missing only one book, just type in the numbers you know then try every possible number for the digit you don't know. If you're missing two books and are trying to guess, which most people don't know how to do, type the numbers you know, then for the first one, put it at 0, then the second one, try every possible number. If it doesn't work, increase the first number by 1 and try everything possible for the second one again. If it doesn't work again, just keep repeating this process. This can be quick or take an extremely long amount of time and I wouldn't recommend it for speedruns regardless of the situation. 4. Sometimes its ok to uncrouch. If he's far away from your or on the other floor, uncrouching is probably fine and can save you tons of time during speedruns or allow you to do more things while he's away. Just make sure you know where he is so you remember to crouch again when he's close. If you hear roaring and the footsteps sound faster, he's heard you, check where he is and if he can get to you and he's close, uncrouch and run to a hiding spot, running while crouched isn't a good idea if he's close as he will likely catch up and if he's that close he can likely sense your heartbeat. If he can get to you and he isn't close, you may want to consider crouching. If he CAN'T get to you, for example on the other floor and not at the stairs, it's probably ok. 5. Identify his generic movement pattern. As previously stated, his movement pattern can change, however it will always be at least somewhat the same. From my experience, he tends to go to the paper at the start of a round, then make his way onto the carpet and head upstairs (although sometimes, instead of heading upstairs, he'll go to the stairs but take an unexpected right turn and catch you off guard if you're near the closet at the right bookshelf area), then he goes to the far left then back to the right and down again. Then he tends to go to the middle of the library, walk along the path then take either a right or, more rarely, a left, turn into a bookshelf area. Then he comes back to the middle, and the pattern repeats. Remember though, as stated in tip 1, he tends to go off his path!
@@flordelizapacifico4022 Actually, i dont normally do that. Its not the code that makes noise, its the door opening. And typically, once unlocked, the door doesnt open until you move. And even that, you should be able to easily get through the door before figure gets to you, even if hes right in front of the lock area, ive done it and its fairly easy. The door will even wait for figure to leave before closing sometimes which is kinda funny. He can't even fit through the door so he can't follow you out
Also one thing to take in mind if you want to do it fast; you can just run in a specific path to get all books and youll avoid the figure pretty much every time, its also the most efficient
Wow. Just wow. I've been having so much ideas of trying to maybe make a video about a guide or tips exactly what you've made in this video and it just cannot get off my head, then I found this. Thanks man, I thought I was the only one with this knowledge and I just couldn't help it but to want to share it to people. The 4th tip is the one most people just can't understand, and even if I try explaining, that'll maybe affect barely anything lol.
I been able to consistently get to room 50 and escape it, I didn't know the part where figure get faster the more book you have but from my experience here is what I got. After a while of playing, I somewhat now their path and just trade side with them looking for book [example: Look for books at the bottom at the same time trade side with figure to the top] this is to avoid even going near figure patrol path. I typically able to go the the padlock with 7 book found and at that point figure is too fast to make going around safe, I typically don't bother looking for the finale book and often have to blind guess the finale number. Sit on the right side of the door and padlock for extra safety and it would take you either first guessing it and getting out to having to try 8 time to get out. Note that I often get to 50 solo because idk most people I play with die somewhere before then.
small tip if you're scared to do anything: if you're good at timing, just hide in a closet near the exit door. you won't die and once the door is opened, you can just go right through it. edit: i forgot to mention this right as i commented this, but this only works in multiplayer if other people are alive. otherwise, you're just inside of a closet.
Props on posting at 11:30 pm. Maybe not where u are but where I am, it's late. Also btw I'm trying to become a RU-vidr so if u posted something on that it would help me out! Ignore this if u already did. One last thing, note that the figure will sense your heartbeat if it gets too close. I did not know this when I first played so I died once or twice when I got to door 50.
This is such a nice video I’ve been trying to figure out where to hide and how to find all 8 books bc of the heartbeat mini game and also the books making a sound is new for me Ty for making this!
Another tip: on the very right side of the door, figures arm (or just hitbox in general) will be too short to reach you, giving you as much time as you want.
Ok from personal experience here are some of my own tips bc that is technically the comment section rn: •If you are really good at the heart minigame, closets are always the best option. It doesnt go for everyone. As a mobile player, The heart minigame is pretty easy, so if you think you can handle 10-20 times of playing that minigame, always stay near the closets. •If you know the full code and you are playing multi, tell everyone to get near the door bc you will open it. I heard that once you open the door, figure gains some vision and can see you?? so yeah keep yourself safe. •If you died in room 50 in multi player, dont leave immediately, you can help the other player find the books bc you can also hear the sounds and as a spectator you can see the books more clearly •If you see figure coming your way and you are between bookshelves, dont crouch, runaway if he is far enough, a closet will save you. NO, DO NOT CROUCH AWAY HE CAN HEAR YOU
little tip: if you've found 4 of 5 numbers of the code and not feel like find the missing one, you can try to guess it by enter a number (0-9) in its slot (it's a bit of time-consuming but exchange you'll pass the door without risking your life to find the remain one:))
3 safe spots: 1: 2:49 2: the same place as 1, but on the other side (but you have to stand still) 3: 3:28 another tip: the Figure knows when you pick up books (this is also why he gets faster), so if he's near you, and you collect a book, he'll know where you are
Tip that worked for me: Have a beginner with you at door 50. Also fact: if you crouch before you open the door, you don't have to crouch after the cutscene Also I know Figure's path and use the sounds to guide me, once I hear a shiny thing sound I always search for the book at the place where it is The same goes with fourth, I won without using closets except for Ambush and Rush
One more tip: Understand how figure becoming angry. First, figure is slow and you can get books easily, but when you collect more books, figure becoming more faster and going to some corners. (Multiplayer) If you open the door to escape and your friend will stuck somewhere, figure will be very fast and it will look at every corners and even closets. So if your friend said “I will sit in this closet and everything will be okay” tell him, that it won’t work after door opens and figure will come after him
also figure always double checks closets that you've been in before and figure will kinda walk back and forth between the closet, bookshelves, and upstairs
The 7th tip is actually helpful once I was near exit the figure came near me but was actually going away but I moved a bit away triggering it to kill me the same happened but I didn’t move and it left
omg the one with decending the numbers by clicking numbers is actually so useful escpeically when youre guessing the code! i beat the game 3 times and i didnt know that
an extra tip: you can follow behind the figure at a good distance because a lot of the time he leads you to books, on top of that, you would be more safe
also!! figure 's path is pretty easy, it is almost always the same left > middle > upstairs (if you hide in a closet while it goes upstairs itll go to you) > middle just to everyone, who doesnt know/remember
A small tip: if you're in multiplayer and someone is trapped with figure in the downstairs while you have the code, you can distract figure by walking front and backwards. This way he won't be able to reach you -because you're upstairs- and the other person can slowly come upstairs crouching
something me and my friend wishes we knew is always get the books furthest from the lock first, so near the entrance because the more books you get the faster he will get, so that was it'll be so much easier to get the books
i remember when i had no idea how to beat this level and was nervous af,but now with 3 wins i can say im not scared of it anymore, just annoyed when it stays near me for a while
Heres one of mine: If your about to grab the paper, I usually bring medicine, mostly if hes close, but I still take the medicine if hes upstairs, because maybe all the sudden he will become mad and run right towards you.
Tip 7 is my biggest problem. It doesn't matter what entity it is, for example: if I hear a "psst" I'll freak out and try to look for screech, and figure's sound just makes me terrified of him, I only got to door 50 once and I were completely scared of it, whenever he gets closer I start to panic and I feel like just closing my eyes and letting him get me...
another extremely useful tip is when you have no books, you can outrun figure and its the perfect time to get the paper in this time. and heres another tip, the figure will always spawn on the left side of the map, wait for him to go near the stairs 2 times then get the paper if you missed the first tip
Tip 4 is especially true when you have trash wifi, since the heartbeats can spawn next to each other when lagging, causing death. also you can safely walk around the library without having to worry about figure getting to you as long as you haven't gotten more than 2 books
Another thing is figure only roams on paths that have a red carpet on it so safe zones are paths off red carpets so be sure to stay off red carpets to avoid figure.
also, one thing i recommend is to stand by either of the doors instead of closets, most times he will not go there, stand COMPLETELY still, dont use inv or move, if he doesnt get detected to you 9/10 times he will never go there, also staying by the wall behind the desk, he will never catch you there unless hes already latched on you/you make noise or move.
Add on for 1:40: When determining how close figure is with sound, listen for how loud the stomps are. If figure is extremely close, the stomps WILL shake your screen.
The thing about door 50 is there is a time limit he gets faster the more you are in the library it can maybe the books as well thats making him faster if the time limit runs out or get more books figure will go at blazing speed at you
Tip: use right click for numbers like 6,7,8,9. And also if you go one above. (In lock) You can run from figure from books 0-4 (if you collected from 0-4 books you can run from figure)
here’s another tip: if you are in multiplayer open the door with everyone near. if you escape and the door closes figure will run to everyone else trapped in the library
A huge help is to play some song you like while doing it since the in game sound really makes you scared but don't make the volume too loud or u can't hear figure
When I do multiplayer I normally tell the others to go to the right and try to linger upstairs because as soon as you start getting the first 4-5 books Figure stops going to the right often Going to the left is normally a guaranteed book or two as well as having a perfect chance at the stairs while figure is distracted The hiding spot near the door is your friend
'dont be scared of it' well im kinda scared cuz it bites your head off lol when my friends die to the figure i see their head rolling around on the ground
Dang i used some tips without realizing i used tips 1,2,3,6,7,8,and10 the whole time while playing doors. (Also thx for the tips and i might have 70% chance of winning for door 50)
A tip that i have me and my friend use but its very risky is to just not get the last book bc you can just guess the last digit only if the remaining digit is only 1 not 2 or more bc it will make it very hard to guess with all the combinations
So you are telling me that you should go up in its face during the second part? Yeah it is obviuos to stay away from figure that it is kind of the point.
Now i know why i keep dying by Figure near the desk 3 times. Its because the Frickin Plant i walk/bump into!! By the way Thanks for the tip.Tip number 6 is usefull to me :)
another tip: if you open door go there because figure can be faster and become not blind and don't go inside 50 rooms after you open door because figure can just kill u without moving or go upstairs
tip for player who is new at door 50: when your in multiplayer id suggest follow and do what they do singe player version: go to the left side while crouching and get the paper on the desk and follow the instructions
FunFact: Did you know that the reason figure does not just kill us just like that is because guiding light knocked over a lamp causing him to run to the lamp
