Hey hey, this was a great video! I know this is a bit late but I've got a few things that I would like to add to the video: - A broken home quest for the asylums surgeons ring. - I forgot the name of the quest but the one that unlocks the crystal and other flask mining spots. - Rewards from the dungeon shop like the Vigor ring (costs 50k tokens), different kinds of scroll (~10-20k tokens) which will save ingredients in the skills that they are available at. Other items that could be useful are the charming imp and the bone crusher. - Diaries for great rewards (Excalibur, shield, ring and Cape for teleports and etc). - Player owned ports. Even though you need level 90 in a skill to start this it's a great way to make armour, scrimshaws and other items in the long run. Can't think of any other things at the top of my head that aren't for improving the gameplay, but I hope these were helpful at least!
I already had 99 summoning so had totally disregarded them, only to realize during the last dxp weekend, holy crap, *I have thousands of charms I never use, and these are INSANE xp/potion!!!*
Biggest tip I have for anyone new is train slayer for your combat skills. Always use the combat style that is your targets weakness that way you train all the combat skills plus it mixes things up and isn't as tedious. Also great way to collect charms for summoning plus drops in general for money
One thing you forgot to mention which is really worth it is mays quest caravan next to the varrock lode. it's great for GP at the start saying you will do a lot of quests at the beginning of your account also unlocking t25/50/75 hybrid armour and the t75 vanquish for all styles also a great recommendation to returning accounts who had quest point before its release. Great content though for sure! :D
My main problem for RS3 is not knowing what to do. Which is surprising because I'm a veteran old school runescape player, When playing old school runescape I kind of just start killing cows, leveling up slowly, and then eventually quest. But for some reason when logging into RS3.. it feels a little overwhelming. especially if you cannot create a new character. I'm stuck on my account that is kind of leveled enough to the point where I'm passed the tutorial, So to be honest whenever I log in I get a bit overwhelmed and I'm not sure what to do or where to start.
There is way too much content in this game, I have been playing it because I was bored with osrs late game but the amount of content and different things to do is overwhelming. Plus everything is so fucking expensive.
I just found your channel today and I’ve been binging it. I just looked at the subscriber count and was shocked. I can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers. Your content is incredible, and very well edited to boot. I really hope you get more subscribers mate. You deserve it.
I have just started again after 13 years, the top thing that I wish I knew was about the new bank interface especially the presets, and also setting up the player UI and interface, the interface was almost too much for me to handle as a returning player and almost made me want to quit before I started
Started a new accnt a month ago. Already Lvl 90 combat with 80 prayer, 80 smithing, 75 herb, 70 magic. Cant wait to start bossing. The bosses look amazing. Smithing is crazy money. At lvl 50 you make 7k per rune bar making arrow tips right now. Made 10mil easy. My goals are 98 herb, 99 smithing, and maxed combat. I want that masterwork armour
Gotta say, hadn't heard of Charming Potions before, looks like it was added while I was on break. Thanks for informing of it, looks like my Waterfiend slayer tasks are going to be even better now in future.
As a returning player, I went from 93 to 97 magic in like 3-4 hours, and made millions..... OMG that used to take weeks back in the days....ed3 is amazing.
This guide is gold. Got back on my 2006 main now due to quarantine and had no clue what was going on XD. Thank you so much for everything LaserShark :D !!
Regarding quests, honestly just do them all. There are few worthless quests. Most are worth doing one way or another. It's also a nice break from the repetive nature of the game. You honestly need to grind fairly little if you actually do the quests.
I would also recommend that mid level returning players do start over.. i’ve been playing for 14 years now and quit around the EOC update and whenever i played my main on RS3 i felt lost (mainly played osrs) but ever since i started an ironman and began from the beginning the game makes more sense to me and it made it so much more enjoyable!
Pass been splaying on off for 14 years also got a high level account with good stats just been watching tons of videos to get back familiar with everything too much time to start over & level up when you have kids and full time job
Thank you for this, I'm nearly max combat but i just returned after 7 years and all the new combat is very overwhelming. I tried posting for some general tips on reddit but people really don't like people asking questions there for some reason compared to the osrs community.
I keep trying to get into RS3 but it just isn't clicking for me, I don't like how it looks and it all feels kind of clunky, I think I'm too used to the super simple OSRS X'D
All I can say is Join a Clan. Whether you’re new or returning. Find one with some nice people. They’re willing to help, answer questions, show you around.
Abit off topic here but what armour is it you're wearing with the 'U's on the shoulders etc? Is it an armour override? Reminds me of space marines in w40k looks sweet! If anyone could let me know would be much appreciated!
I like jumping around and being as self sufficient as possible. For instance making fire orbs and then adding to battle-staves and then high alching provides 3 different types of xp and decent money. Gather what ya need as ya need it.
very good video for me as an returning player thanks alot. can you also show us how you made your UI looking so clean at 9:55. tried playing around with the interface settings but never looked like yours
I just walk walked around for like 3 days checking everything out. It eased me into the game, I still play osrs and rs3 is like being railgunned a decade into the future lol
Haha I last played around 2004, did the same as you although tried flexing my holiday gear, no one cared then I didn’t know what else to do so logged off haha
Yea, it might be an unpopular opinion, but i think they made the game too complicated. The game was so much better back in the day (i guess how they have it as OSRS now), but I'm not going to start over to make an OSRS account.
been playing constantly for the last 15 years, 2 recently uncomped accs and a high lvl ironman. stumbled across this video in my recommended. really good guide for both mains and irons alike, pretty much all other "tips and tricks for new/returning players" dont give as wide range of tips and tricks as you have (Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble quests might be good to add to the list of quests also)
WELCOME NEW PLAYERS. Runescape is an amazing game full of adventures, Lore, skills, combat ITS MASSIVE!!! I hope these tips helped and if anyone else would like to add their own tips please do so I can heart them! ALSO WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO 3k SUBS ALREADY THANK YOU !!!!!!
Divination should be added to the list aswell because it is a very profitable skill at the moment thanks to Archaeology. Alot of people buy the energies for signs of the porter for the Grace of Elves Necklace.
i truely agree with protoxx that when advising ed3 xp training to new players, to specifically warn them about the xp rate ruining the progressive pleasure or "noob shyness" as you discover the higher level content got a friend to start rs3, and got him to 90 melee stats in a week, a week after he created his acount some people (my friend) prefer to skip the long early game, personaly i find it removes somewhat from the early game's charm (and it's kind of the same for the rate of gathering gold with ed3)
agreed, its also a waste of time in the long run, youll get 99 combat alongside slayer, dg, etc ed3 also ruins dungeoneering on your acc, when you got back to do floors you will get horrible exp rates because you never prestiged or trained dg properly. not to mention if you get a 120 in ed3 youll be training slayer and dg with possibly 200m in combat, ruining your account even more imo, if you ever do go for 120s/200m
You can essentially get 43 prayer for free using the Nexus in lumbridge swamp. There is a way to do it efficiently to get way more xp, but doing it without trying will cap you out at 43 prayer
You didn’t mention what charms are for. New players won’t know what they are. Perhaps even some returning players. As summoning might be completely new to them. A little explanation on what these are and how you use them in summoning would have been a nice touch. I know it’s not a new skill (12 years old already!) but think of it as if you were a new player or returning from 07 scape. Good video. 👍
tyyyyyy hahaha. been wild seeing this years revamp and love for rs3 and since im finaly pushing my 15th year thought id celebrate by maxing again with archeology so this vid helps a ton. ESPECIALY since arch has bee na very front loaded investment skill yikes. gonna nneed to pvm love a boss for that sweet gp lol
I think im going to finally try Rs3 I’ve been playing rs since 06 and been playing osrs since it came out and never actually gave Rs3 a try. No doubt in my mind I’m going miss a lot of stuff but here i go!!
Hope you’re finding your way around okay! I definitely recommend joining an in game clan ASAP if you haven’t already, it makes the game 10x more enjoyable.
After 2920 Days I logged in ,Back in RS 3 but Holy Shit that games make me feel so lost. My Current Stats are Attack 81,Str 99,Def 76, Mage 83, Pray 70. Range 70. And all Non Combat Skills are 70+ some are 99. My Current gear is Bandos+AGS, Void Elite+Korasi. I have 211 Quest Points. And do you know a good tutorial for setting up the Interface and Explaining the Combat System? And i have Problem with my Bank couse i have 4k Magics log in my Bank, and cant find the Option to take they on a Note. I Take my Money out of the Bank and its gone, couse its not in my Inventory wehre did it go? RS 3 its very hard for Returning Players. Couse you have no Guide line. But your Video helped me a bit, so i try to go to Unlock the New Area, And i have the most Quest Finshed you show in your Video. Turmoil,Fairy Rings,Barrow Gloves unlocked. And im Member couse i play OSRS since 2013. Thanks for your work, Subbed and Liked, and Sorry for my bad english im from germany.
Slayer - you will be travelling the world to fight different monsters Hill giant tasks - Hold my bear (No seriously i get hill giants every second task from vanakka )
lol i returned 4 days ago cause im bored in quarantine, bought member and a bond and now I have level 96 range from shadow reef elite dungeon. Currently 950k exp an hour using corruption shot with my zaryte bow/pernix armor/BoB setup.
Hey an rs3 creator! Here is my follow! Keep up the returning/ low mid level things up man people really need it! Greetings from a toxic comped player that’s trying to be nicer hahaha
Lol my buddy dropped $300 and said he was buying max. I told him thats not going to be work or be close to worth it. It got him lvl 60 combat stats and 20 in everything else. He's so angry at me but wtf i told him it was bad idea
I do not agree on going to ED3. You stress this here as well as in other video's. Here is why: if you are new or returning, you will be missing out on so much other content if you just go to ed3 for xp or money. If you do this till 99 for all styles, you will still end up learning nothing. Instead, throw yourself into a skill and learn everything about it using different methods. Youre missing 90 percent of content made for the skill otherwise. Besides that point, i think you made a good video, and i enjoy watching your others. Keep up!
Empousai RS what do you mean? Everything is easier to learn combatwise when you have max combat or at least higher combat lvls. You dont really miss out on anything just by doing it faster in my opinion. The real learning process starts when you are able to do higher pvm
aaron altamirano play with a team with doble surge, chimchopas and corruption. You I will make 7 million minimum up to 15 million if you get rare relic and using lucky charms
It doesn't take long, i've made so many accounts on RS3 as they all have different achievements within them. Honestly its worth exploring and seeing the best ways you can train it really doesn't take long at all.
Player of 19 years here. Easy ways for returning players ed3 or get at least tirrawn quiver 2 and catch grenwalls on anachronia for maybe 7 to 9 mil an hour.
