I am in the state of Arizona. I registered with the state and have my EIN. Right now, I seriously need to focus and read state laws and policies, write my business plan, build a website, create a digital presence, and do some networking marketing. It's a lot of work, especially paperwork... but I can do it. It's taking time. What's the estimated time should I give myself? I am a nurse with a CNA background.

I'm here in Arizona as well. I lived in East Valley Scottsdale and now in the West Valley and I've noticed that there are thousands upon thousands of veterans who need home care services. from Chandler. I think it's an awesome opportunity! There are two services that have prepare businesses and plans that they sell. My family back in St Louis is prospering off of those plans with their home health care business. I hope it goes great for you my sister take care Esther. 👑

Coach Michele , what do you do for the patients that aren’t satisfied with their care? Is there a “go to” thing you do to try to keep their business? (Other than apologizing, getting their side of the story ETC) !

If it has to do with the caregiver I would let them know that you have new education in place to deal with the matter. Many family member's just want to know that its not going to happen again and that you are taking steps to fix it.

Coach Michele can you please speak to the labor cost (pay & benefits) of caregivers increasing faster than the reimbursement rates from state (eg Medicaid) or federal (eg VA) programs that pay long term care. The current margins in Georgia makes it difficult to cover the overhead that Georgia requires agencies to have as a regulated state.

I would recommend focusing on private pay and 3rd party payers with a higher reimbursement rate. Politicians are talking about making changes to the Medicaid waiver reimbursement rates that will make it even harder for providers. There are so many options. HomeCarecoaching.com

Coach Michele, my question is what address do you use if for your business if you don’t want to use your home address. Georgia requires a physical address, I’m just starting can’t afford a office space yet. Any suggestions?

You have to use a physical address on the application. This is the location they will visit for the inspection.
