Perseverance ....man! To have worked as an actor for 20+ years and STILL have periods where you haven't worked for a year??! That has to be incredibly tough. I see actors in Vancouver who've been around for close to 30 years and they still do crappy commercials. I guess "a gig's, a gig" but, if you ask me, I find it a bit soul-crushing. It's like Kevin Bacon used to say. Something like: "When you're 20, you'll take any audition and any part you're offered. When you're 40 you think: I'm a grown man and this is how I'm earning my living?"
