I am a hereditary witch. It’s in my blood. My mother is my grandma was. I’m a hedge witch, cosmic witch solitary, most of my practice is with fire, stones, water. And other more personal stuff.
It runs in my family too. Although most chose to ignore it, my sister is a witch and I'm learning more about my own spirituality. Personally, I find myself more connected to nature such as the soil, trees, flowers, the environment essentially. I live in a VERY christian state, county, neighborhood, family, and house. I cannot delve too deep into this type of spirituality and its sad as I've traced wicca, hellenism, druid, and much more. Mostly women in my family.
My mom initiated me into the Coven she was one of three High Priestesses at age 14. She made me wait until I had gone through Tribal Rites , where in the eyes of the Chickasaws I was viewed as a young adult male. That happened a few months before Coven initiation. Grandpa was Freemason , 3 of Uncle's were also Masons and their wives were all Eastern Star. So yeah rituals and Magicka runs in not only my blood , but also my Soul. Not to mention Cultural Heritage
Go slow Do Not hurry and check out books by Dorothy Morrison, Lady Sabrina, Sister Moon, Lexa Rosean, Gerina Dunwich and Silver RavenWolf. Good luck finding what you believe.
finding your way is best. ask questions but ultimately what helps you and feels right to you is what;'s gonig to work. we're the definition of "Disorganized religion."
I’m new to witchcraft but I definitely identify with eclectic because I’m interested in witchcraft from all cultures, however I’m solitary because I’m not in a coven. But I do communicate with many other witches online. I don’t believe in deities so I cannot say I’m Pagan nor Wiccan, I believe there’s a higher force, a universal energy with no identity that I call for for my spells. I also cosmic because I was interested in astrology at first which lead me into studying witchcraft.
Take your time learning all you can don't rush, if you do you'll miss things or misunderstand things. Here are some books that will help you out. Everyday Magic by Dorothy Morrison, The Witch's Master grimoire by Lady Sabrina, Spell Castings by Sister Moon, The Encyclopedia of Magical Ingredients by Lexa Rosean, Magick Potions by Gerina Dunwich & The Solitary Witch by Silver RavenWolf. May whom you believe be with you.
Oh my! You wrote this 2 years ago and I found this comment exactly the time that I needed most. I am a baby witch. I have been interested in astrology for a couple years and before that I was interested in tarot and somehow now I am researching the witchcraft. I came from an agnostic background, I never believed there is a god and if there is I am not sure we can know it. So I am not interested in deities if someone is interested and works with them and believes them thats ok, but not m me. I also identify as an eclectic witch. I believe in energies and nature has everything we need, maybe I am a little pagan-ish. I couldn't find anyone who thinks the same as me so if you see this comment pls write me back, Is witchcraft worked for you? I can feel that it works for me but whenever I ask someone about it they just bring about the altars and gods maybe deities and... I choose this path because I decide what it can be done or can't. Do you have any advise?
"Hereditary witch," reminds me of Jinx Dawson, vocalist of the band Coven, her wealthy family had always been heavily into the occult and because she was raised in that tradition, she naturally formed the first openly occult/satanic rock band, their first album is insane, one of my favorites.
very informative,I'm solitary, work with the herbs and of the green variety, you have got some sun Sarah!!! u have a beautiful rosy glow to your pale skin! would like a part 2!
I might be a Green and Cosmic witch. I worship Mother Nature and I feel safe and free outside, if I could I would sleep under the stars ^^ though I'm new to the whole pagan way of life I am starting down the path. Researching the history and things like that...
I’m still learning. I’m a solitary, Scottish, cosmic, sea, shadow, feary witch that will eventually incorporate spirit work. At least these are the things I’m researching. I take a more traditional way to it than the Wiccan approach. I’m also attempting to figure out how to work with the merfolk in my craft so I can create merfolk witchcraft
Technically, I’m Hindu, but I’ve done spell work several times before and I still work with stones and I’m starting to work on some divination soon. 🔮 So, I think eclectic is a good fit. Also, a part two would be great!
Hey! Great video and channel. 🌛🌚🌜 I think a I'm an Hedge witch. I like to work with dreams, astral projection and I'm interested in herbalism & tree magic. Nature is pretty important in my craft. I do believe in fairies and different natures creatures but I wouldn't say that I've been in contact with them. Either than my spirit animal 😄😄 hehe Have a great day. P.s I saw your video about Norse ritual tools. Super interesting!
I am solitary but the cosmic intrigues me. I would love to see a part two! I am very new to all of this but have always considered myself a witch even if there has never been any practicing going on. It's just something I've always felt inside since I was young. I am glad that I'm in a point now in my life that I am able to follow my heart :)
this was a really interesting video! i loved learning more about all of these terms that i've been hearing throughout the community. you're so informative! much love to you & your kitties, dear!! :3
I am eclectic\solitary\cottage witch. I cook with intent, travel astrally, practice numerology, learning lenormand, 1st level reiki practitioner, work with crystals, herbs, and enwrgy.
I didn't know what was an alexandrian witch before watching this video. It's always great to learn more beliefs ! I'm solitary too and eclectic because I'm interested in many things. To be fair, though I tend to work more with rituals, kitchen recipes and I'm just not a gardener so I'd wouldn't consider myself as a green witch XD. I, however, love working with candles, tarot cards, not a huge fan of stones. I've tried but it's not for me !
Religiously, I am a Hekatean Witch. I am also strongly drawn to the Norse Mythologies. I am an Erulian, I have worked with the Runes for 41 years. I guess I would also classify myself as a “Solitaire” (my name for a solitary witch) as my religious practice is usually private. I spent several years as part of a Ritual Team that preformed public sabbats, as well as co-facilitating our local Ladies’ WitchCamp.
I believe that there are more than 10 types of witches. There are so many paths you can follow I believe that witches are as unique as the individual and the paths spread out like the top of a forest canopy. Branching out for endless possibilities so don't ever feel like you have to confine yourself to a specific title or label. Love you videos Scarlet Ravenswood
My practice is based off of Gardnerian structure, Wica if you like. However, I do not consider myself a Wiccan. Because, I've never been Initiated into a proper Wiccan Coven. So, because of that, I've always described myself as, A Student of the Old Religion. I quite enjoyed this video. It was fun to watch. Many blessings to you, and your family. Syker : )
Scarlett witchcraft. I started late to the craft, and now a traditional aprentice witch or wizard if you prefer. I started with wicc Alexandra, then eclectic and dark witches and Cochrane witches similar to gardnarian. They came and went where I live so the only one left from the left had path was traditional coven so joined this it's been going some time. I have been intimate to the inner coven, it's based in or near Arundel castle and meet on a monthly and full moon basis. There are a mixed group of male and female witches. And the high magister follows Doreen vailiente a famous witch from Brighton in the 1950's.
I’m a Traditional, hereditary, Green witch who lives Ozarks of Arkansas (descended from old settlers, who came here before Arkansas was even a territory from Appalachians of Kentucky and Tennessee). I’m generally a solitary practitioner and I’m a damn good Kitchen witch as well.
I'm just starting out but I'm thinking I'm a green witch and solitary . I'm really liking it and love your shows. Your so positive and look so joyful. I love it
Hmm... I'm still a beginner and all I've done so far is gathering a few witchy things, designing a few sigils and the daily activation of two of them but I think I'd most likely be a solitary and an eclectic witch. I'm very interested in foreign traditions, beliefs and so on and even though I consider myself as an atheist, I must admit that I was very interested in and impressed by the Greek goddess Hecate, when I read about her. A few years ago, I got a book about magic spells for Christmas and now that I think of it, it's quite a coinsedence that Hecate is one of the gods and goddesses described and shown in my book ^^
I love you all brothers and sisters and encourage you to watch this video of a 5th generation witch leaving witchcraft and talking about the major downside and wrong to it. It’s with Julie Lopez with Sean McDowell
I feel a strong pulling towards Hedge work, but my mother was traumatized as a kid when her older brother was trying to be "edgy" and summoned without anymore knowledge than whatever was on the board's box. She was attacked and since then has been very much against such things, steering towards a Christian path. She accept me and my beliefs, but I can't bring myself to open up to be more in-tune and inviting towards the spiritual world while in her home as it'll cause her much worry, fear, and misunderstanding.
Hereditary witch- my mum is a psychic hedge/green witch, half sister is also a psychic hedge witch, other sister is a green witch, personally I'm a green/ cosmic witch ❤
What type of Witch am I? None. I don't like the stereotype. I'm a Wiccan in a modern tradition. I'm skilled in magick and use it frequently. But almost every aspect of what people think of as a Witch really doesn't fit me. So why embrace a label that doesn't fit? Oh, and nice job on the video. You do good work.
I am a solitary traditional witch or shaman . I incorporate most of the type's and aspects you talked about into my practice except for portions of Wicca , some parts of Wicca are not for me . thank you ,i always like to see how others view witchcraft and there own practice .have a wonderful day ...thank you again ...} O { ...
What kind of Witch am I ? Hmmm let me see if I can come up with the right descriptive terms Coven based , ceremonialist , Eclectic , reconstructionist , cottage ,
Could an eclectic witch be all or most of these? Also can wiccans practice all of these as well? I'm not sure if I want to start doing witchcraft yet but I am trying to learn all I can about it and I am kind of confused on a lot of things.
