Summertime rendering deserves your attention. It is truly a masterpiece and you can't stop watching it once you start. Its only 24 eps long highly recommended
Overrated af. Started off intriguing and then gets more and more generic and bland as it goes on. I dropped it about 10 eps in. Absolute wasted potential
@@DefeatLust y'all should watch when they cry (old version, new one's trash) if you havent, summertime render was heavily inspired by it. its a great story that just gets more interesting as it goes and it definitely wont disappoint you. also if you'll like it you should play the vn, it has more details. its one of the best if not the best horror/mystery anime of all time
Thanks for the recommendation. I am now watching it and it is definitely a refreshing show that I appreciate and has a lot of real life elements to it.
Grimgar is maybe my favorite anime. Definitely my favorite Isekei. I'm convinced if it didn't release before the main isekei hype it would be more popular. Such a good anime, all around. There's nothing about it I don't like, except that it didn't get more seasons. Also: My happy marriage changed my mind about romance anime >.>
Actually it did come out during the main isekai hype. Right now we're in the gimmick isekai era. I like Grimgar, but it has its own problems. Uneven pacing, the dialogue and direction are kinda poor at times, but none of these issues are big enough to ruin it. They just hold it back from being truly great. The biggest detriment is that the story is unfinished.
people said the same thing about 7ds. and was a lie. now its the same bs with ninja kamui lol could it have been better?? sure. but its not like it dropped from a 9 or 10 down to a 2. its a solid watch. at WORST a mid 6 to at most close to 8. people just started crying about mechs lol
lol it was easy to figure out it was bad after watching the first 2 episodes. Was so bland and shit I quit half in watching 3 episode. Clearly an anime with no soul put into it.
I seriously wish gringar gets a reboot. Such a touching cast, so well written, absolutely beautiful art style, cast the feels real. Honestly, if I wasn't aware of how weird the story gets, no, despite that, I need more seasons
Light novel is trash, after ten years still don’t know why they are there and and and they lose their memories and starts from zero with character bonds
Ive seen ninja kamui, fireforce, darwins game, and grimgar. Kamui has a bunch of very nice fight scenes that are beautifully animated, fire force was generally well-rounded and good overall, but darwins game and grimgar were nothing short of incredible. Im not a re-watcher of shows, but i have watched those two and made immediate attempts to rewatch them with friends and family. They were good enough that i wanted to force the enjoyment upon others. Darwins game, imo, is genuinely one of the best anime i have seen and highly recommend it.
darwins game was the one with the phones and battles? sure, was cool, but cancelled/ended abruptly. wouldn't recommend one season animes that leave you with many questions lol
@@johnd7760 right lol. nothing pisses me off more than that bs. just after YEARS went down the seraph of the end watch only to find out it didnt finish after 2 seasons.... that in 2015 s2 ended and that was it.... same thing with asterisk war. AND WHY DID THEY DO ME LIKE THAT WITH GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL. i swear netflix takes its cancel culture from anime lol
@@SageO6PathzGON hahaha ikr? though there are worst platforms than Netflix, tbh, but it fits. But hey, in most cases, you can read manga or smth, to get closure.. when that happens in an American-non anime tv series though, you have no options but to petition for just one more season 😩
HNI is in my Top 5 Anime Series of All-Time. Not just sports anime, anime period. Had the manga recommended to me as well recently so guess I need to go ahead & take the plunge!
Vinland Saga Season 2 is truly underrated 😢. It captures emotions and themes that today’s younger generation might not fully appreciate. Only those with a bit more life experience can truly understand its depth and meaning.
Try world trigger. The animation isn't that good but it's addicting. At least it was to me and those who watch it. The worst I ever heard about it from people who watched was that there were some flaws, but no one down right hated it.
@@ThomKyalo Yeah, that, but it's instinct me to skip the repeat stuff. I think that would be the case for everyone. Oh yeah there was that one ark, the one they went to a different place. I think that was filler.
Beelzebub, it’s an unusual pick but the anime is so good, it doesn’t have anything to point out in particular but it’s so entertaining, I watched 50 episodes in 5 days 😅
Sorry to say this but Ninja Kamui fell off after ep 8 , instead of sticking to the normal concept of ninja it modernized it through Western weaponry implications.
🔥🔥🔥BURN THE WITCH🔥🔥🔥 All you bleach fans that know what Kubo sensei can do will definitely love this anime. I want to see the the world and characters that Kubo can create from these fairy tales. There are so many fairy tales he can take inspirations from. Little red riding hood, Goldilocks, Rapunzel and many more.
Grimgar really needs more seasons, if Natsume Yuujinchou got renewed for a new season i don't see a reason why it can't have a new one. I still remember binging the light novel years ago and it keeping me at the edge of my seat, the character writing was just top-notch. Definitely the best isekai in the genre imo, and it will always be in my top 20 best animes.
Ao Ashi got me reading its manga and other football manga 😭 I love it so much. Football Manga's I've read 1. Blue Lock (Has anime/ongoing manga) 2. Ao Ashi (Has anime/ongoing manga) 3. Ao ni Nare (Completed manga)
Same. Watched it twice and reading the manga for it now. The furthest I've gotten with manga. I was reading Black Clover manga at the library but I realized that I'd rather read starting where I left off in the show rather than read it over and the library didn't have the volumes. Anywho, Ao Ashi is so good. I love comparing Ao Ashi and Blue Lock because of the parallels and direct oppositions they have. I find them interesting. I'm in the middle of watching Ao Ashi with my little brother. He likes it so far, which is surprising since I showed him Blue Lock first which has all the colorful hype moments
@@des3iny woah, thanks for recommending that. I'm kind of running out of manga to read and honestly I've been wanting to read similar to those football manga. Out of all sports manga, I find football more entertaining (ofc I loved haikyu, too) or maybe it's just that I haven't yet stumbled upon other sports manga that are worth reading. Anyway, I will def read this one.
@@lonnisplace1459 Yeah, I always thought, "Blue Lock and Ao Ashi are kind of similar yet different somehow." There's this distinct vibe that Blue Lock gives off, maybe because it's more centered on 'egoism' but Ao Ashi has it too, in a way that it's kind of realistic.
What hurts most for me is that if Grimgar were to ever somehow comeback, the art studio that was responsible for the beautiful and breathtaking watercolor art and backgrounds went out of business forever ago.
Gleipnir is never talked about and a great anime. I heard the manga became a let down, but I hope a second season and rework of the original material will see the light of day, I personally found the premise to be really good and the music was top notch too.
Great list. I feel the same about sports anime, yet "One Outs" is one of my favourite animes. The protagonist is a gambler who plays baseball like he plays poker; by reading people, raising the stakes and using mind games to mentally crush his opponents. It aired around the same time as "Death Note" and has a similar quality and feel to it.
Darwin’s Game is great. I read it alway the way through and it had lots of twist through out really flipping your expectations of what is happening on it heads
ninja kamui was the one for me, from the animation to the art and the songs its sublime. watch it and i promise you the first episode is enough to hook you in.
Your Intro. High card was that for me couldn't mame it past episode 3, was shocked when it got a second season. But maybe i'll go back and give it a chance again
i also dropped it around episode 6 bec it bored me to death, such a shame bec i thought the first episode and the op/ed were rlly cool. been hearing good things abt season 2 tho but i don't think i can sit through the rest of s1 💀
Absolutely loved Fire Force. I love Shinra as the protagonist and i hope season 3 gets announced sooner rather than later. I started Kimono Jihen based just off a recommendation on Facebook and have really enjoyed the first two episodes. Three recommendations I have for people are Shaman King: great cast, fantastic protagonist in Yoh, fantastic antagonist in Hao, incredible set of four OPs from the 2001 and 2021 anime’s. World Trigger: Massive and great cast, a unique and cool power system, really strategic battles, great OPs again and really good voice acting. Final one is Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation. Not anything mind blowingly great, but a fun little Shonen with a great pair of main characters with great chemistry.
Pleeaaase try golden kamui!!! Peak characters, peak story, funny, catchy had me sweating till 4am, pissed myself and had some toe curling moments❤ god i love that show
As is the heroic legend of arslan. I'm upset they ended the show early, but what's out right now is pure greatness imo. The royal tutor is also great. Loved the show. One of the most wholesome anime I've seen
I watched darwins game when it came out and I was shocked why it didn't get the right attention, yet in 2020 there weren't that many animes that were actually good. btw this sh*t hit really hard.
!! There are sooo many anime that I've seen that are just about watchable. Every once in a while you do stumble upon a hidden gem, but I feel like I've seen all the best already. That is why I think for me and others a lot of new anime don't seem so amazing in comparison. I also think that growing up plays a big role. 7 Years ago I was able to watch way to many trashy anime. Now I look at what looks promising, watch the first episode, and end up only finishing 4 or less of the new anime coming out every season. As I've also watched soo many "old" great anime, I feel like I cant find anything from back then anymore that piques my interest. I believe that the biggest factor in anime getting more and more "boring" for me and others is the fact that we've seen the great, and feel like new stuff can not compare. It's sad to say, but I don't think watching anime will ever be the same. Yes, I love anime, and will keep watching, but I don't think I'll ever find anything again that is new, different and simply godly overall. For me a good anime doesn't need to have the best animation, Plot or characters(If it does though, those are bonus points. A good soundtrack is essential though). I've come to realise that the best anime I keep referring to are the ones with hard-hitting emotions, or that just feel and tell something completely different. The problem with anime nowadays is that I feel like there is nothing new. Yes, there are a lot of different genres and new things popping up, but they don't feel unique. They don't feel like the "old" ones where it feels like everyone creating the anime poured their love into what they love doing most. Maybe every 3 years something new and really really good comes around, but at the moment I feel like things are flat. For those asking what anime I consider different here's a list of some:(Erased, Angel Beats, High School of the Dead, Akame Ga Kill, Plunderer, Takt Op. Destiny, Freezing, Vinland Saga, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, High Card, Platinum End, K-Project, Charlotte, Heavenly Delusion, Tower of god(I also extremely recommend the Manwha), Elfen Lied. I took out really famous stuff like One Punch Man, etc. but if you haven't watched one of these I absolutely recommend you watch them as all of them are extremely enjoyable. These are a few, but the best anime I have watched until now. If you've already watched them all, then I'm sorry brother, other than the really famous stuff I don't know what else there is that is truly peak. Anyway, sorry for the long message, if you've got any recommendations for truly good anime, then plssssssss tell me. Great video like always Animan🙏❤
was genuinely intrigued abt what animes u were gonna recommend since u sound like you're a veteran anime watcher......but then you listed platinum's end 💀. and angel beats, takt op destiny and akame ga kill which are all mid at best with poor character writing. so real with tengoku daimakou and vinland tho, both peak asf. idk it seems like you're more into the old stuffs so i'm pretty sure you've already seen genuinely good watch like mushishi, samurai champloo (albeit some weird fillers 😭), claymore, wolf's rain, pandora hearts, serial experiments lain, jigoku shoujo etc.
i watched kimono jihen back in 2021 and absolutely loved it....its quite underrated.....one of the best animes i watched....still waiting for season 2...idk if they gonna make any
Fire force 100% agree, I loved season 2 especially. I haven’t seen Blue Lock but I probably should cuz I’m p big into sports anime. Definitely adding ranking of kings & high card 2 my ptw Darwin’s game was friggin wild. My happy marriage was something I figured I’d rather read the manga of just cuz I’m a sucker for shoujo manga but the way you described it made me wanna watch it too. You gave me a lot to pick from! Thanks :))
I like it since that one guy disliked for a stupid reason and I’d also like to give you props for not sounding like you’re drunk, which is rare for an anime
@@bamboozledbedazzledbamboo Sure, if u dont have smth to watch while eating and stuff, to relax , it's understandable. just sayin.. most ppl i know that do that-with tv series tho-are just lazy to search for smth new, or fear they wont like it. At least, it's one season.. i find it much worse, when they decide to rewatch a 50-100 eps show, since time is so valuable, and they'll regret it when they get older.
@@johnd7760 oh, I get your point. Whenever I'm facing a dead end, I do watch animes that I already watch and it takes a long time for me to find new ones that would really interest me. I'm always in for recommendations, though. 😊 Seems like you watched/read a lot already, and I wanna know if there's something you would like to recommend. Thank you in advance!☺️
1.Revenger (12 episodes) 2023 2. Drifters (12 episodes, 3ova, incompleted) 2016 The above two anime are most underrated anime. Just watch the first episode of these anime. I strongly recommend you should watch the above anime in sub, not in dub.
Why would dororo be on a list about 10 underrated anime. Everyone that's ever seen anime has watched dororo already. If anything it's rated right where it needs to be.
other underrated animes 1. Summertime Rendering 2. Samurai Champloo 3. Dororo 4. Tower of god 5. Moriarty the Patriot 6. Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden deductions
Respect for the Fire Force plug. Tamaki's fanservice is annoying, but people write off the whole show cause of it, even though there's so much hype to be had
Grimgar is one of the best isekai's I've ever seen, and I wholeheartedly believe it would any other isekai out of the water if it had more seasons. Sadly the anime was just used as a marketing ploy for the light novel.
100% ranking of the kings was ridiculously great with just the bare minimum of decent animation but an amazing story the 3 i personally wont agree with is Ao Ashi, my happy marriage, and ninja kamui
I have an anime with best voice acting I haver ever witnessed. Name : Act addicted actors (A3) If you are a kid who is only looking for fight and op MC then stay away from it. But if you watch it I can guarantee this anime will become one of your favourites
I'm telling you why it's at number 1...it's simple...because it's the newest released. (Still not gonna watch Ao Ashi, Kimono Jihen, Ranking of Kings, High Card, Burn the witch, Darwin's Game, My Happy Marriage and Ninja Kamui). I will watch again Grimgar instead.
Interesting. Grimgar was the one anime I regretted watching. I found it to be super bland and boring. Completely agree about My Happy Marriage though. I forget why I gave it a chance, it's not normally the kind of thing I'd watch, but it ended up being a super cozy watch. (edit: that's actually a lie, my biggest regret is giving Arifureta more than 10 seconds of my time)
