If you haven't already, you should look into the demo of The Tiny Bookshop. It's a very cute and cozy game. It's only on PC for now, but I think you would really enjoy it. ☺️
Anyone looking for even more cozy game suggestions that are out already these are some of my favourite: -Donut County -Townscaper -Cat cafe manager -Turnip boy commits tax evasion -Cozy Grove -Pikuniku
my jaw dropped when you mentioned super zoo story, i was around when that drama about stolen assets was going around and i didn’t think this game could manage getting its own style enough to release. looking at the festival setup at 9:53, it looks exactly like how pelican town square looks during the fall festival in stardew, i am baffled
Little Goody Two shoes is definitely what I would define as a Cozy Horror game. A dark fairytale! I means it’s actually an exceptionally impressive game. I really recommend for people who avoid heart pounding jump scares and gritty horror. It’s much more unnerving/creepy but also very charming and cute!
I’m obsessed with Little Goody Two Shoes right now. The weird thing is that it is a cozy game by day and a horror game by night 😂 launched yesterday (of course)
@@tomsanders2094 it is amazing! So weird and haunting, but so beautiful too. Perfect for Switch we well. I don’t want it to end. I hope Eewona covers it/tries it!
Dude yes. My absolute favorite cozy game type is shop-running games (Recettear is the measuring stick for me) and Spirit-Tea and Discounty both seem perfect for that vibe I crave.
I know you mentioned this in the video, but I feel weird about Super Zoo Story. While I really like the sound of the game, the developer has had some pretty questionable decisions when it came to straight up stealing pixel art assets from Stardew Valley, as well as just copying the style altogether (at one point the logo was literally just Stardew Valley's logo but with different text). They are moving away from that now, but just remembering how stubborn the dev was when I let them know (very early on I might say) that they shouldn't steal assets and should work on their own unique style, it all still feels off to me. The dev completely refused at first, only changing their tune much much later on when ConcernedApe (creator of Stardew Valley) personally called them out for stealing assets and copying the style. I'm completely certain they actually had stolen assets by the way. I compared things like their lampposts, bushes etc. Dev was very pissed at first that they were called out on it. I just don't understand why anyone would want to make a unique game that could be easily mistaken for a Stardew Valley mod.
Seeing how Stardew Valley blew up, financial gain (while minimizing effort) is most certainly their top priority. I don't know how I feel about it either and if I choose to get the game I'll definitely get it during a sale
if you posted screenshots on reddit i totally saw them when you did, one thing that’s still with me since then is like the sign that robin puts up when she’s doing work on a shed, was legitimately copy pasted onto a building in Super Zoo Story. that and the Maru dupe, and even some animations. i feel really weird about this game.
oh also the sprites for the people are straight up ugly, i couldn’t stand looking at that while playing it. i can’t imagine this game being very good. im interested to see what dialogue lines and stuff are like once it’s out
Another Code/Trace Memory was such an amazing game that I feel emotionally attached to. It was my first ever DS game that I got for my birthday. Can't wait to get the switch version!
I feel like devs saw the need for more cozy games and so many farming sims have done amazing, so they all just jumped on the trend - sadly many not taking the time to really flesh them out at the same time. I'm happy seeing more branched out cozy games though still sink into my farm sims often heh I backed To Pixelia, so excited for it!!! Discounty looks like a fun twist on the typical sim type. Will definitely have to check it out! Downloaded the Spirittea Switch demo earlier, looking forward to trying it! Campervan is also definitely something I want to try out, and Little Cat Big City - so sad I missed that demo! I'm glad Super Zoo Story took things in mind, it looks loads better now anyhow! I'm looking forward to it too. Hairdresser Sim was so much fun to watch lmfao Still sad I couldn't get it working on Deck. Hopefully another demo will come out soon.
Another code was my absolute favorite ds game, when you named it I genuinely squeeled! I do wonder how they altered the puzzles for the Switch, for I remember at least one puzzle in particular to need the screens to close for it to be solved. Now I have my hopes up for a remake of Lost in Blue as well
Snufkin, is from the swedish children books The Moomins (Mumintrolls). Gosh! This was my favorite cartoon when I was a child, also I used to love Pippi Långstrump. I yelled when I heard the name!!! I'm so excited
I am so so so excited for Snufkin because I grew up watching Moomins and I have such fond memories of it. reeeeaally hoping it‘ll come to the switch, it seems like it‘s a game that just really belongs on the switch 🥺🙏🏼
Campervan looks so visually satisfying, but I'm worried I'd play through it once and not touch it again. I struggle with that sort of game when it isn't endless.
I didn’t know I wasn’t subscribed because your videos always come to my feed But today I realized I wasn’t subscribed so I did! I love your farming suggestions so I’m really excited to see non-farming suggestions. Discounty does seem like Stardew from the standpoint of the shop owner and I definitely will be checking that out! ❤ Also 7:01 sent me to heaven and back 😂
I started playing Sea of Stars and played for 6 hours nonstop. My sibling and i have been playing Cat Quest 2 together and I just downloaded Little Goody Two Shoes.
I swear the Spirittea demo contained/implied farming but it might've been "hand seeds to npc, come back for crop" farming, which is more like tool upgrades.
I'm so excited for Spirittea! Also, my partner is from Denmark, and he grew up watching the Moomins TV series, and Snufkin is his favorite character, so I am familiar with the characters. I played the demo of Snufkin, and I loved it!
Of the games you mentioned I'm probably looking forward to Super Zoo story most. I want my Zoo Tycoon nostalgia but Zoo Tycoon doesn't really work on my laptop so a new game it is. As for games you didn't mention: I'm looking forward to Boxes: Lost Fragments. I hope it'll have a cat like Doors: paradox. And Paper Trail as well as An Arcade Full of Cats. And the visual novel Caball. The story in the demo seemed really well written, interesting, and had stakes. A Highland Song seems interesting too. And possibly the platformers Star Leaping Story and A:nidu. As a last one possibly The Frosted. Hmm. Now that I look at it, those games have something in common: puzzles of some kind. Except maybe A Highland Song and Caball. I'm also strongly considering getting Pixel Cafe at some point after release, but it's less high on my priority list and I'll mostly likely wait for a discount on it. I do that in general, but I mean a highter than 10% discount depending on the original sale price (like under 20 EUR is already a good price for most games anyway).
@@alicemay4305 Probably later. Honestly the timing of Super Zoo Story is pretty good too. I have a lot of unplayed/unfinished games and other things I want to do right now. But I'm gonna look it up and see if it looks appealing to me. I actually still have my old Zoo Tycoon 2. The issue is more that my disc drive doesn't read it properly anymore if I try to add the expansions. I'm still curious if I can get it to work again at some point.
I swear my wallet is glaring daggers at me right now lol. Pixelia and Zoo Story look interesting, I might add them to my growing list of games to get lol. One non-Farm sim cozy game I will get is that Fashion Dreamer, it's quickly rising up the ranks of games I do want to get. Sun Haven is #1 right now, but currently I am getting my farming sims fixes via Coral Island and HM: Winds of Anthos lol.
I realized while watching this that every time you say Stardew Valley, I thought you were saying Stodgy Valley with your accent. I thought this was hilarious. This is meant in the nicest way possible as I love your videos. Thank you
@@Eeowna It makes me a little sad that there isn't a Stodgy Valley game, like what would that even look like? Can we create an entirely fake video game and pretend it always existed like the internet did with that movie a few years ago?
YEESSS, thank you for this video! I literally took a note of so many of these games, I rarely get this excited about all the hundreds and hundreds of farming sims but these were so amazing and unique and seemed like so much fun!! ❤
Omg another code has me shook omg 😭 trace memory was one of my first ds games and one of my favorites. And the second game was never even released in north america like omg i cant remember the last time ive been this excited! I cant speak on the sequel but the first game was great. Recommended for adventure fans… lots of exploring, puzzle solving, and dialogue. And has multiple engaging mysteries at its heart. If you love adventure games i can tell u already this collection is a must buy
Wow, your hair looks amazing!!! Thanks for the content! I’m getting a Switch soon (once I finish Horizon Forbidden West on PS5), and these videos are getting me READY! 🥳
Oh. My. God. Another code, one of my favourite ever nintendo Ds games from 15 years ago. I’m crying, it will be WONDERFUL the most poetic and bittersweet Game you guys, just wait and you will see 🖤
I was in shock when I saw another code is back! I remember really wanting to play this game but only finding it in English, so I played it even though I barely spoke English back then!
I actually really like harvestella but when you said games just shove farming in there that’s immediately what I thought of 😂😂😂 like it’s this whole game oh and also there’s some farming that has nothing to do with anything 😂 it’s such a random game but I do really enjoy it lol
Didn't know they were doing a remake of Another Code! I played it in elementary school and there was one riddle I couldn't solve so I abandoned the game. Got back to it after a few years and was able to solve this one riddle immediately. Really excited to see the remake!
After loving Moomin for decades I am so excited for the game but going to getting it for my deck instead of the switch. Super Zoo looks very cool and Wooot! Dinosaurs! 🦕
Every time I watch one of your videos I add three to my wish list! Discounty! Spirit tea! And I had funded Pixelia on Kickstarter bc you mentioned it in a previous video! TY!
Spirittea came on the game pass a couple days ago i do like the game but i feel like it lacks a lot of direction and the town feels too big to explore everything and also run your bathhouse in the whole in-game day. I think it's great and will continue to play but it definitely has its flaws. Maybe they'll update it? Worth a watch for sure
Have you ever considered trying out pioneers of pagonia ? Its still in early access and will come out mid december, and its a management style game set in a romatic-middle ages setting with small enemies as well and will be available on steam ! I love the details for all sorts of different buildings and characters !
Super Zoo Story looks completely like a Stardew Valley game. I wonder what Concerned Ape thinks. Would he be annoyed that his game is basically being ripped and altered.
