I REALLY want the Telltale’s The Walking Dead story in live action. Especially since the main series ended, starting fresh with the Clementine story would be amazing. Obviously adapted as necessary with a decent budget.

You basically nailed my exact thoughts with Bioshock. I’m a huge fan of the games, myself, so if it was done right, I’d be set for life on video game adaptations.

I'm honestly surprised that we haven't got some type of big budget GTA film yet. They could do it with a huge ensemble cast of familiar actors pulp fiction/oceans eleven style. A GTA film could easily join the billion dollar movie club.

I would love to see a Bioshock series. Sure rapture would be awesome but Infinite might be my favorite game all-time. I know it did lose the horror elements, but I felt like it took the story and characters to just a whole different level. It’s the reason why Ken Levine’s next game is my most anticipated game.

Nice list and I think the Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver games would make an interesting series with vampires and I'm PRAYING for a RE series. I liked WTRC but it did suffer from time constraints trying to tell 2 stories so I'd love for the group behind that movie to be given the chance to do a series to be able to tell a more cohesive story because there's no doubt that they're fans of the material.

I can’t believe you didn’t have Red Dead Redemption on the list. It would be incredible as a big budget HBO show. You can probably get 3 seasons out of each game and by then we might even have RDR3 to provide even more material

I'd love to see Legacy of Kain done in a series, it has enough elements to at least 4 or 5 seasons, its story is truly Shakespearean and the timeline elements could lead to branch off stories.... Not to mention we might actually get a conclusion to the story and if it's successful a reboot for the game or at least the final game we've been waiting for. I just hope every time I see little articles about it that maybe, just maybe, we can bring this franchise back

I'd like to see Zelda get adapted into a show. I feel a movie would have to rush too much of the story. Though it wasn't a franchise, I'd like to see a film adaptation of Perfect Dark.

I would love to see Serious Sam, The Darkness, F. E.A.R, GTA in Live Action Adaptations. I love these video games. They are so awesome and violent. I also would love to see Dead Space, Metal Solid Gears, Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver in the TV Series.

Darkstalkers would make a great series. Preferably animated. It has a deep story for a fighting game, with lots of x-men like prejudice, funny yet scary characters and great potential for story. We’ll never have another game, but a series along what WB has down with the animated MK movies (just well written) would be a great way to give the characters a chance again.

Far Cry 3 and Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 I would love to see a show of.

An: Amnesia the Dark descent movie. Awesome premise, very adaptable and lots of potential for practical effects with great lighting (or lack there of). You would just need one hell of an actor for Daniel because he's ganna be the only human the whole movie and the main character we follow.

I think there's a good chance that Splinter Cell could be adapted, considering Amazon has adapted Without Remorse and is currently working on an adaptation of Rainbow Six. And personally, I'd like to see the Arkham Games be adapted as either 3 hour films, or as a 3-4 episode miniseries, with each season focusing on one game. Maybe even have a bonus episode or two that explains what happens between each game/season.

For Mass Effect I REALLY don't want them to do Shepard cause it will cannonize alot of choices the players make. A tv show focused on C-Sec and the various gangs of the galaxy would be awesome.

I feel Street Fighter deserve another live action film but that is actually good the 1994 one is cheesy and The Legend Of Chun-Li is trash maybe Tekken as well but that game don't need another live action movie but anyway God Of War, Metal Gear Solid, Halo and Devil May Cry need live action films.

YEEES!!! So glad you made this video cause not enough people are talking about this. Adaptions for video games like Need For Speed fit the movies just fine because their big pull is high-octane driving and the story stuff comes 2nd, an easy 2 hour movie... But long story driven epics like TLOU, MGS, Mass Effect, Resident Evil and so on... That's big budget TV territory, more time to tell those stories. HBO's TLOU could be the start of something very special and if HBO is smart they should start buying up rights to what properties they can use and have them adapted RIGHT cause in my opinion HBO does it best. Could you imagine how well HBO MAX would do if they did this? Also, some of those video game nay sayers would be like "hold on, that awesome shit I just watched was based on a video game???" This could be BIG and i want MGS done this way!!!🤞

During the development of Legendary Edition, there were some rumors floating around about Bioware at least considering a live action mass effect series with Amazon, but so far that hasn't gone anywhere beyond a subtle hint in an article, but here's hoping.

There's a lot of games but I'd have to pick Mass Effect, Legend of Zelda, Grand Theft Auto and Metroid.

Left 4 Dead is at the top of my wish list for live action adaptations. There are decent fan made shorts on RU-vid, so an actual production has got to have potential. It'd be so easy, each episode would just be a chapter or two, ending with them reaching a safe room.

One not mentioned on here that would be good in a T.V. Show or Series would be Fallout. So much amazing lore and cool shit that could be had with it.

I would love a Jak and Daxter movie. Sure, it would most likely be from Sony and not too many people liked their adaptation of Uncharted, but given a good director, actors that could work, and absolutely gorgeous visuals, it could work.

I honestly think a Prototype movie would be kinda sick but I think it would have to do be a lot like how you said an Infamous movie would have to be.

I'd like to see them tackle Max Payne again. You could make a series out of it but I think the sweet spot would be 2 hours. Dark an gritty and violent.

I love mass effect and i have no doubt that it’ll get a cinematic or tv version of the first game one of these days. I would say Ghost of Tsushima and God of War deserve adaptations as well but those have already been connected to projects so maybe that’s why they were left off the list

I think Manhunt would be cool however it would have to be handed over to HBO for obvious reasons.

There is actually a bioshock movie in the works at netflix, it was going to be a movie before without netflix but was cancelled because of budget concerns. But now its actually happening, not many details have been revealed yet but one thing is certain that its gonna be awesome.

They need to make a resident evil tv series with each season based on each game, with a real filmmaker that actually cares about the games…

Outlast should get a horror movie mainly because its a 1st person survival film about taping a documentary about an abandoned asylum where apparently people disappeared, but that wasn't all true, I mainly want a movie adaptation of Outlast II.

I'll throw a vote to Eternal Darkness. The story in that game is damn strong and you had a diverse and interesting cast of characters spanning across time. Pity that we're most likely not getting a sequel.

I think an amazing one would be a show based on The Wolf Among Us. Maybe not even the game but based on the Fables comics would be so cool as a show. Those comics are so interesting, could do a really cool show in the style of The Boys with a great mix of dark comedy and drama.

I’ve always felt that Metal Gear Solid should’ve already been made into a television series since MGS struck gold for the original PlayStation in the spring of 1998. The stories, subplots, and the characters alone earn more than enough merit to make their way into television. Honestly I’d be more than skeptical about Sons Of Liberty but I’d definitely be a lot more confident about Snake Eater and Guns Of The Patriots. Not sure about Phantom Pain either but that’s how i feel about arguably the greatest video game franchise of all time. 🎮🎬🎥

I'd enjoy seeing Dragon's Dogma done right. I know there was that animated series on Netflix, but it took way too many liberties with the source material. There's enough main quest line stuff in the game for a good movie or 2, maybe 3 if you add in the DLC story details. The thing that hurt the show was just all the liberties taken. They could do a good fantasy film with the lore the game provides, they just need to stick closer to the source material.

I think if Infamous came out 10 yrs ago as a movie, it would have blown people's minds. I consider the ending one of the best endings to a video game or story for that matter. It felt very original at the time. I would also like to see a story from a different perspective for that major character that I don't want to spoil. It set up the villain for the sequel perfectly like an incoming danger kind of feeling. While I still enjoyed the second game, it didn't quite live up to what the original game set up because it was that good. All good choices on this list. Mass Effect and MGS are a given imo. Both would be best as movies. Would love an RE series done with the care like LOU. I think a Stranger Things style approach in a small town would be perfect. I wouldn't have them go to the mansion so soon though. I would save that towards the end where it can feel like a feature film at the end of the season. AC series is coming also and I feel if done well can be really good. Not counting on it though. I think the approach of Desmond Miles being the one like a Luke Skywalker where he has to gain the abilities of his ancestors to become a super assassin in the present to take on modern day Templars would be great. The original Watch Dogs would be a great movie too. The tone and character for that game is perfect. He's a realistic Batman in a realistic Gotham City except he isn't afraid to kill evil dudes. A character who takes on the underworld would definitely have me interested. Final game would be the Wolf Among Us. I can only imagine the fun that can be had in a show like that by taking characters we know and putting them in a different light.

TellTale the Wolf Among Us would be an awesome mini series. Now, I’m going to say this because I know a lot of people HATED the series of Halo from Paramount and I understand why, I personally did not hate it. I have concerns and I hope it gets better since it’s getting a season 2. I hope season 2 improves. That being said I wish, the Halo series would be reimagined as anthology the builds out the world of Halo including Reach, before adapting the original trilogy of games and not adapting 4,5 and 6. The original games can be done in a fun way especially when you get into Halo 2 when you introduce the Arbiter. :) That’s what I wish would happen for Halo.

I feel like resident evil season 1 should re1 with some zero sprinkled in.

Amusingly enough, the reason the Splinter Cell movie went dark is because Leo talked Hardy into doing The Revenant, and that fucked up the scheduling. I think Wolfenstein could make for a cool action movie. I know Overlord kind of filled that niche, but Wolfenstein is like a hundred times crazier than that. Robo Hitler, anybody? Shadow of the Colossus is one I think could work with a little effort put into it. The game's story is vague but has enough intriguing hooks to it that you could flesh it out into a filmable narrative, providing you do it right. Or a miniseries where each Colossus gets an episode interwoven with flashbacks. Bioshock I could see going either way, a movie that focuses in on the central plot, or a series that spends more time on the world building. Maybe do brief flashbacks like the Last of Us has been doing with the cold opens. The original Clock Tower game has a bizarre plot that could make for a cool, surreal horror film if handled well.

Far Cry 5 and Soma needs to be made. Also, if the Forest went more in depth with the details they left, that would be amazing

Loved the video. Bioshock would definitely be stunning to see come to life. There is so much potential there. And yeah, I dont know why Konami is only interested in movies. Their making another Silent Hill movies, and while im excited, I dont know if a movie is long enough. It's definitely not for Metal Gear.

If Bioshock ever gets a movie adaptation the director NEEDS to be James Cameron and I would pay him whatever the F he wanted to do it. Cause he’s shown that he can do a movie multiple times where it takes place under water (The Abyss and Way of Water).

We really need a long form series of Blizzard's franchises (Warcraft, Starcraft and especially Diablo)! They have so much potential to be epic with their intricate storylines, characters, atmosphere, creature design and much more. This has been one of my biggest wants for years.
