Here at Team TripleJump, we just love a good villain, and part of what makes our favourite baddies so great are their various maniacal schemes. Whether they’re planning to take over the world or simply trying to get revenge against a foe for some sleight, either real or imagined, there’s nothing more fun than a nefarious plot. Only, not all video game villains think things through properly, so some come up with plans that have more holes than a block of Swiss cheese, and it’s those that we’re looking at for today’s list. Whether their overall aims are ridiculous or it’s just their methods that are dubious, if they’re a wrong ‘un in a video game who couldn’t organise a booze-up in a brewery, they’re more than welcome here. Here are 10 Video Game Villains with the Stupidest Plans.

The villains of Pokemon Sword and Shield have *TWO* of the stupidest plans I've ever heard in gaming. Main game "villain": In an attempt to solve a possible energy crisis over 1000 years in the future, they bring about a doomsday scenario. They do so on the one day their ally, who could help them keep the issue under control, has a prior engagement and told them he'd be unavailable to help. The date of that engagement is set by the "villain." The entire doomsday scenario could've been avoided if the "villain" moved either their plan or the other event 24 hours in either direction. Post-game villains: After a couple of Pokemon publicly help save the region from the above doomsday scenario, these villains get jealous. So they force wild Pokemon to go on a rampage that can only be achieved by their help, in order to convince people all Pokemon are always dangerous, and that they should be praised instead. Naturally, Pokemon and their human partners easily put as top to this plan as well.

The illusive man was unknowingly indoctrinated for a large chunk of mass effect so his bad plans make sense when you realize the are bad because the reapers are controlling him. The illusive man is a really powerful person with lots of money and a big army why would the reapers bother fighting him if they can just make him spend all his time an effort doing stupid shit.

I'm a little surprised the Panther King from Conker's Bad Fur Day wasn't on this list. I mean his "diabolical plan" was to kidnap a red squirrel so he could use it to replace one of the missing legs on his broken coffee table so that his milk wouldn't spill, cause apparently his scientist claimed that a red squirrel is the only thing that could fit in the table's gap (amongst all other things), and he went to fairly big extremes just to get that squirrel for said purpose... Then again it was kinda obviously intentionally ridiculous, much like the rest of the game, which is a big part of what made it fun and whatnot.

#5 - Blackgate was burnt down prior to Asylum (stated during the opening walk-in), and Asylum was heavily damaged during the events of Asylum. Neither location was functional during City.

Terrible opinion to some, but Far Cry has garbage villains. You barely ever see them and when you do its during a "drug induced trip" sequence. Vaas is the only one that stands out because of Michael Mandos performance.

Vaas is one of the best looking Far Cry 3 bad guys ever made in the game, but his lack of villain motivation is completely dumb. I mean this guy is in every cover in the game, in which make us believe that he’s the main villain but in the end he died early on the story.

How is yaldaboath from persona 5 not on this list he gives joker his powers and helps him throughout the game by posing as igor until he revealed not be the true igor if he never gave joker his powers yaldaboath would have completed his goal of merging reality and momentos on the day of reckoning gaining control of the masses unopposed

P.S. when you said a spoiler is in effect for all the games you see on screen it might've been a bloody good idea to actually have those games "ON SCREEN" and not just the name of the villain pop up before each segment!? I'm one of the few people on the planet who hasn't played the Last of us and was really enjoying the surprises in the show. So I had absolutely no idea who Abby was or that she goes on to kill Joel. Had you put the titles of the games, like "The Last of Us: Part 2" I wouldn't have watched that part. Thanks anyway....
