With going up in size the other benefit is that you can tailor your clothing to fit you perfectly, but nobody can make it bigger for you don't try to tell yourself you'll lose weight to fit in it just get it now, tailor it and if you do lose weight tailor it again and you'll be able to actually enjoy your outfit instead of being sad about it

Another tip is to wear a single or double strand of pearls. Pearls add a touch of elegance to any outfit. They can instantly class up jeans and a simple v neck sweater.

Hi hun! Thanks so much for watching! I don't tend to spend too much on clothes as I prefer to purchase higher end classic bags/shoes etc but when I invest in classic clothes that I'll wear for a long time, I go for Karen Millen, Reiss, Zimmermann etc. Xx

I have been using baby powder on my scalp for years, because I have always had very oily hair. I highly recommend applying it to fully dried hair after a shower, and not waiting until later (my hairstylist even stole this idea of immediate application from me, and made it seem as though it were her idea. I knew this because she later told me about it even though I was the one who actually told her, lol). This prevents oil from becoming problematic by nipping it in the bud before it travels down the hair shaft. Also, the way i apply it is I put it on my hands and then use my fingers to apply it directly to the scalp (especially for dark haired ladies). You can even put some backing cocoa (not the sweetened kind unless you want to attract bugs, lol) in it to make the powder a bit brown so it is not so white. Thanks for all your tips Isabelle!

Tip: Don't worry about the sizes just about how the clothes fit you. Different companies differ in sizes hugely, so the sizes don't mean too much, they are just helpfull within one designer.

As a gentleman who interviews & hires women, I agree with each and every one of your tips. The general rule is: Keep it modest and conservative. I would add a few things to avoid, that can make you look cheap (lacking in dignity, UN-classy; vulgar, sloppy or unrefined): • Platform shoes (the stripper look) • Dark roots (If you are going back to your natural color, dye your bright ends to match your roots). • Dry, frizzy, abused hair ends. I am surprised by how many women still try to get away with this look. Trim & Condition. Duh! • Heavy or black eyeliner- especially on the bottom lid. Stick with subtle off-black accents, rely more on a natural looking mascara or modest false lashes. • Facial piercings. (Lip, nose, eyebrow) Message=You're a masochist -or just trying too hard. • Excess body ink. Especially on face, neck, arms and shoulders, where visible in street clothes. It just looks tough and masculine to me. Screams "I have low self-esteem". Your skin looks beautiful the way God made it. • Black nails &/or lip color. I simply don't hire girls who come in for interview looking like Marilyn Manson. • "French tip" manicures. I always wonder what kind of dirt they are hiding. If you're going for a natural look, just go with clear polish and put in a little effort to *_keep them clean._* A pearly or even metallic shade of pink or red is actually better, even for most non-medical work settings. • More about nails: Jewels, watermelon seeds & smiley faces … depends on the situation. More whimsical than sexy. The dragon-lady look is fine for club, parties or the bedroom, but can be a bit distracting at the office. • Pants. Fine for exercise or yard work, but if you want to look truly classy in a business or social setting, I think a skirt or dress is almost always classier. Tasteful hosiery is a plus. (Mesh & sexy patterns are okay for evening.) I know some of you ladies are screaming now. Sorry. 🤷‍♂️ I gotta tell the truth ! 🙂 💦

St Charles i have to disagree with piercings and tattoos. i mean yes big visible ones are a no, but a nose piercing if kept at a small diamond is actually very beautiful.
@DrChaad
@DrChaad 4 года назад
Emilee Stevens , I wouldn't reject a girl just for wearing a tasteful diamond stud in the small of her nostril, but facial piercings *_are_* distracting . Any other red flags hinting that she might be an attention seeker could tip the balance out of her favor. 💦

My tips are to keep your nails fairly short (yours look great). Those really long and pointy nails with glitter and rhinestones do not look classy on anyone! My other tip is to keep your scent VERY light. A ladies perfume should only be noticeable when you are close such as giving a hug or kiss on the cheek. If you can smell it across the table, it is NOT classy and would certainly give me a migraine.
@lisaaopignatelli
@lisaaopignatelli 5 лет назад
If you are using an adjective like classier or funnier you don't put the word more in front of it. You simply say classier with the er or more classy. It's one or the other not both. I don't mean this as an insult I assure you. I simply hear youtubers make it this mistake so much and it's teaching others to do the same thing. It's a bad habit and I feel like if I don't speak up I'm just encouraging it. I'm sorry if you take this the wrong way. I really don't mean it as an insult. You're video was very good and quite informative.
@barbarablackmon7807
@barbarablackmon7807 5 лет назад
IKR!!! I am not sure why folks say more classier! You are right. Proper English should simply state "You will look classier." rather than "You will look more classier". Two other cringe worthy poor grammar mistakes are "Me personally..."! The correct grammar should be "Personally I don't prefer...". Another example is "Where is she/he at?" The correct English grammar should be, "Where is she/he?". The word "at" is a preposition in the English language and as such it should never be placed at the end of a sentence. Here in America the use of proper English with excellent grammar and syntax have become far more problematic, especially since the invention of texting, Rap music, etc. I recommend every classy lady buy and regularly refer to a basic dictionary and grammar book. One excellent book I recommend is entitled, 1,200 Words You Should Know to Sound Smart... Essential Words Every Sophisticated Person Should be Able to Use by Robert Bly. It can be purchased on Amazon or Barnes and Noble bookstore for less than $10.00. A well spoken and read women elevates her classy factor by far and is distinguished from the average indeed! I love your vlogs and am a new subscriber from America.♥️

Hi Isabelle, Great tips! I think the suggestion to wash hair less applies more to people with drier hair and people with more oily hair can wash more often. I may be wrong but I know for myself, my hair is drier so less frequent washing helps me keep the natural oils more. My friends with pilier hair can wash more OFTN and that seems fine for them. Great vid. xo, Sue

You were excellent. I already knew most of these. As per the scent we choose is very important as well. I have used 4 perfumes most of my entire years. All of which men and women stop me all the time and compliment my scent. It’s important to find one and making sure it’s not a cheap (spray perfume bottles that wearing off after 2 hours or too alcoholic ) I spray right after my lotion and then perfume - it last all day through the night. Especially, if I shower before I go out in the evening ......... my perfume is at its high peak scent! I get so many compliments. My 1st perfume brand is obsolete 😞 - my evening is now obsolete. 😞. My 3rd (which is expensive) is mostly my 24/7 which especially men come up to ask me and say, WHAT am I wearing, it never fails. My 4th perfume is only when I’m just going to stay home. I have bought other ones or as gifts - I end up giving those away eventually ~ I want to add that sometimes the very very expensive perfumes are more for older women (too powdery) find a good one that sets with your chemistry. Don’t buy them to inexpensive. Top name brands don’t always mean they are better, however on an average name brands are best. Find what scent fits you best ~

I have found powder to be great for non shampoo days as well. Instead of powder with talc, I use Gold bond baby powder with corn starch. It has a pleasant scent that counteracts dirty hair and the cornstarch is really absorbent. My favorite dry shampoos are in the "Grace" scents by philosophy. RE jewelry, I have found that having more strong features, I do well with statement jewelry that is more bold. AS long as I keep in metals and neutral colored beads. For instance, the larger the beads, the more neutral and simple the design needs to be. I like Robert Lee Morris pieces. Great video!

I only disagree on one thing: scent. I am one of the people in this world that truly suffers from a sensitivity to scents. Even without being able to smell a scent, I can be affected by it with an immediate headache, sinus pain, constant throat clearing and coughing. It isn’t classy to me that your perfume requires me to get away from you as quickly as possible. I take medication, but it only prevents me from a full blown asthma attack. And, if several people around me are wearing their signature perfume I am in agony. Please don’t wear perfume to the theater, or concert, or movie. So many times I have to leave after paying a lot of money for tickets. It is a much classier person who realizes scent should not be worn in large public gatherings.

I am in 60's and still have small scarring from teenage acne. I think the scars can be improved greatly with laser surgery Samantha. I am not bothered at this stage, but when younger it really annoyed me. Powder is not good as it clogs them.

Keep wearing the foundation you love. But try setting it with a powder that has a bit of luminosity to it, in your non-oily areas. I use 2 powders: matte & oil-absorbent over my t-zone, & a luminous powder on other areas. (Lastly, a touch of highlighter on the tops of cheekbones, inner eye sockets, tip of nose, tip of chin, & center of forehead adds a look of moisture back to my face).

I am not the only person with this kind of sensitivity, and believe fragrance sensitivity is on the rise. I would advise only wearing fragrance sparingly in your free time, and avoiding it altogether in the workplace or any environment shared with others over a period of hours. Especially avoid applying fragrance around others, including scented hand creams. It can be a miserable experience when my focus at work is interrupted by a fragrance induced headache or asthma attack. In fact, I would argue if your scent is noticeable in the workplace, it is a distraction, which is not professional. I agree natural ingredients tend to be better, but with the prevalence of allergies, minimizing your scent is the safer bet.

Hi! As a hairdresser can I suggest you take some screenshots of her to your stylist for inspiration but let them create a custom look for you. Just because this looks great in her doesn’t mean it’s what’s best for you, and a skilled hairstylist can help you look your absolute best! You can find me on insta @hair_church for photos and formulas you can take to your hairstylist!

Great video!!! I completely agree with everything you said. Audrey Hepburn and Meghan Markle are my style icons. You are so pretty! I also use a steamer! I didn’t know about the talcum powder. Thanks so much for that tip. Loved this video so much! Hope you can do a lookbook for the things you wear in a week. Would love to see that.

Thanks so much for watching and for your kind feedback hun! Talcum powder is such a time and money saver for me:) I will definitely try to do OOTD videos but most week days I'm in work clothes (scrubs to be more precise lol) so I may have to put together a few weekend outfits! Thanks for the suggestion hun! Xx

Where I live in Canada we have a ban against scented products. We are not allowed to wear anything at work and other places. One time in a store at the mall I was asked to leave because I was "irritating " to the sensitive shoppers. Imagine That?!! Not sure about in Australia but in Canada I know people who dress in expensive looking sporty type of clothing for rich people sports. Such as sailing, tennis, golf, skiing and horseback riding. They also dress like they spend all their time at the cottage. Also, they refuse to wear clothes which are "work business" looking because they like to look like they are living the life of luxury without having to work. Yes, these are women that I know from my gym, no kidding!!

Thank you so much. PS. Love that you inform us of the products you actually use yourself. I am currently looking to buy the steamer that you suggest and review,

I recently bought a wonderful steamer from Bed Bath and Beyond and it has great reviews. I highly recommend the Conair Turbo Extreme Steam, and it has a couple attachments. It works AWESOME and is a time saver! Hope this helps. ♥

Cant' agree. Class is largely about being discreet, but I agree about good quality items. Loud logo emblazoned items are really low class, no matter how much they cost. Anyone with huge amounts of money get items tailor made so that no one can copy what they have. They don't go to designer stores and buy expensive off the shelf items that can be bought by anyone capable of saving up or using a credit card.
