A ZV-E10 just became available to me in the USA so I snagged one with a kit lens. and a Tamron 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD. I searched for an ND filter to find this channel.

Hi, I have the ZV-E10 mounted on the Crane M2 S and on an extension pole; this is with the Atmos Ninja 5 Monitor that records the 4K output directly from the camera. You can also set the Ninja up to record when you hit the record on the E10, although you lose the eye tracking facility and the camera can warm up. So, I just use the Ninja recording onto a 500GB SSD (hot swappable); this also saves the E10's battery as you don't need to look at its screen or record on it. Plus, the M2 S has a USB output for the camera, although the E10 wants to connect and goes into USB mode unless recording already. The E10 is great when you Bluetooth it to your phone, and with my Sony Xperia 1 II phone, I can split the screen and control the phone and gimble simultaneously. I also have a Tascam mic with a wind cover that connects directly to the Ninja, so the Audio and video are linked in 1 device (easier for editing). I can get some nice drone shots with this setup, especially with the gimble linked to my phone accelerometers

@@MicrocurrentLove If you could get it working you may have a delay between audio and video, although you will be able to correct this in post. Plus I don't think the ZV-E10 provides power to the USB. Would be good to know if you get it working though, it could help some people

Yep. Have the E-10 and the 10-18mm. I took this camera and only this camera to Europe this spring... 62 days, 10 countries. Unbelievable images. The camera is the perfect travel camera, the wide 10-18 is the best lens to use. Sharp. Fast. Love it. Also took the light and the tripod!

The 10-18mm lens on Sony’s APS-C sensor is actually the full frame equivalent of 15-27mm. Sony’s APS-C sensors are a 1.5x crop. You can just multiply the focal length by 1.5 to get the full frame equivalent or you could just divide the focal length by 2 and then add the result to the original focal length to get the full frame equivalent for Sony and most other brands with a 1.5x crop. The latter is easiest to do in your head. I believe that Canon has a 1.6x crop for their APS-C sensor, so for Canon APS-C lenses (and only Canon, I believe) you should multiply the focal length by 1.6.

Everyone talking about rolling shutter. I honestly never have any issues with it… I have owned the ZV E10 for a few months now. Been very satisfied. I picked the ZV E10 because it’s kind of entry level professional camera. It’s really good for those who wants to learn videography and photography more seriously. But if you want convenient, portability, ease of use, pick the ZV-1 It produce amazing quality straight out of the camera without so much hassle. However, if you want to delve a little bit more and improve your videography/photography skill, pick the ZV E10 In a year or two or three, you can begin to upgrade to A6700 or instantly jump to fullframe cameras such as the A7III or A7IV if you have the budget

If you only get one of these things mentioned here get the 10-18 Sony lens, it's on my camera 95% of the time, I did not even bother getting the kit lens, never used it on my A6400, not even once. so when I bought the ZV E10 I purchased the body only, and put my 10-18 F4 on it had that l had for my A5100, and A6400 and now on my ZV E10. Job done. Don't really need any of the other stuff, fit a UV filter to your lens for protection and I use the Sony Bluetooth shooting grip and a decent tripod. I use the Sony VCT-R640.

I liked this video and ordered three items from your links including the SmallRig cage. My question to you. Do you think it's necessary to use the little safety thing that screws into the upper right part of the cage next to the thumb spot? It seems to be the screw in the bottom would be all I'd need. I also picked up the Rode mic and the SD card. Thanks for great suggestions.

Thanks man! Yeah, I just use the bottom screw. It makes it much easier to remove the cage if I need to for any reason.

@@RickEvansTheThird I figured that would be the case, but then I did to overthink things. I got to thinking there must be a reason I don't know to include that extra piece. I'm taking it back out. You're right. That slows down the whole process of removing the camera from the cage. Do you happen to have a link to just the top handle for that particular cage? I can't find the right one.

Just got my camera. SmallRig cage on order, Anker power brick a fave + in use, LumeCube panel light, same Rode mic as yours - with 3 of my cameras, Sennheiser lower end wireless mic, and have a gimbal but not used yet,

For Yoga you'll probably want a wide lens so you can show the full body positions. Take a look at the Sony 10-18 f/4 lens (amzn.to/3wHlWHe). I actually did a full video about this lens on my channel. A good alternative would be the Tamron 11-20 f/2.8 (amzn.to/36U41SE). Good luck with your videos!

Mine is perfect except for when I move the camera, I have a strange blurriness happening, I'm not talking about rolling shutter. From side to side, up and down even extremely slow its blurry until when I stop. I thought at first it was my new slider, even at minimum speed it does that. Not clean. But when not moving its fantastically sharp. Ever heard of this?

How well does the Rode mic work if I want to use it to record people cycling (i.e. mountain bike or road bike races)? I'm trying to pick up cyclists that may be 10'-15' away. Is that not what this mic is designed for? If not, is there a different type of mic I need to consider to pick up sounds that are further away? Thanks in advance.

It will pick up sound from that distance. Shotgun mics are designed for very directional recording. So make sure it's pointed right at your subject. If you really want to pick up audio from a distance I'd recommend getting a slightly higher power mic like the Rode VideoMic Pro ( amzn.to/334sd2K) or a larger more professional shotgun mic.

I’d prefer to use a USB dummy battery connected to the power brick rather to risk the type C port and the board inside in case of the camera falling from my hands or the full setup with the tripod.

1. Yes 2. Definitely 3. Maybe, can help in situations 4. Yes, i can't believe they didn't include a small add-on flash, but that LED light works even better 5. Obviously 6. Maybe, i've had worse cameras than that, but something like the rode is also good 7. Depends on what you want to do 8. Ulanzi MT-41 is also a good option 9. Better: get a larger size and use step up/down ring, e.g. 67mm, you can then use the filters on multiple lenses 10. The new 10-20mm , or even Tamron 11-20mm , are better

Is there such a thing as a filter to make everything look softer.. or is that done with lighting? I just HATE the bright white lights.. 6000 kelvin or whatever. I would prefer a softer look. Also.. I went to purchase the USB power supply.. but it indicates it is for phones..?? It does not mention anything about cameras.. ??

You should get the dummy battery wall charger from Sony and ECM-B10 mic from Sony. Also 256gb memory card tough is better from Sony.

So RU-vid keeps recommending me zve10 videos when I’ve decided to go with zv1. Lol. The rolling shutter and stabilization is the big issue with this camera why I didn’t go for it. I think it’s great as a studio camera. Not really vlogging camera.

I know exactly what you mean. I own both. To be honest, I actually prefer the ZV-1 too (I did a very similar video to this one for that camera as well if you're looking to get some accessories for it). I think they're both great. The rolling shutter can definitely be distracting, but I liked the versatility I now have to use a wide variety of lenses. Thanks for checking out the channel!

If you *don't have time to edit* your video and straight upload what you recorded, then ZV-1 is for you. It is just simple to fix rolling shutter and stabilization in Catalyst Browse.

Would you say the smallrig helps balance the ZV-E10 with the Zihyun M2? I can't for the life of me balance it with the 16mm Sigma cause it's too front heavy.

I don't think it's going to help if you find the balance front heavy. Sounds like the M2 might not be robust enough to handle that camera and lens combo.

@@jochang9012 Actually the M3 would probably do much better. I have both and can say the M3 is much stronger than the M2. It might be worth weighing your setup and then looking up to see what the maximum payload the M3 can handle. But I've seen people put full frame cameras on the M3 which are quite a bit heavier than the ZV-E10.

If we compare Zhiyun Crane M3 Vs DJI Ronin RSC 2 so which one is the best choice for indoor Real Estate videography ?

I would prefer the Crane M3 because it's smaller and more lightweight, which makes it much easier to carry around. However, because the Ronin is larger, it has stronger motors to support much heavier cameras and lenses. You might also get slightly longer battery life with the Ronin because of its size. The Crane M3 should get you around 8hrs of runtime, while the Ronin RSC 2 gets about 14hrs. If you don't have a heavy setup and 8hrs of runtime is fine for you, I think the Crane M3 is great because of its smaller size. Which camera and lens are you using to shoot your real estate videos?

I think it depends on your budget. The ZV-1 is a great value for the price. But if you don't mind paying more for nice lenses, the ZV-E10 might be better for you because you have more options. Don't get the Sony 10-18mm, get the 10-20mm. It's way better. It's one of the most useful lenses. Get an FX30 and you can center corp that bad boy and it turns into 50mm, and you don't get any of the down scaling de-noise filter and it's actually a very clean image. You really don't want to record the in-camera noise filter. It looks good but messes up your color grading and you can always de-noise in post.

@@whatsnew2964 It's not as sharp and has bad vignetting. The 18-105mm has OSS and is sharper with much less vignetting. The 10-20mm has the new motors that are better for manual focus pulls.

Tamron 11-20mm + Catalyst Browse is cheaper and better than Sony 10-18mm. Sony's OSS and/or IBIS is a joke anyway.

The Tamron 11-20 is currently $829. The Sony 10-18 is $798. That is by no measure cheaper. The Tamron also has sharpness fall off around the edges that you won't see on the Sony. I stand by the Sony lens. Thanks for your input and checking out the channel!
