Hello friends! I am finally back after my covid break! If you have followed along on social media you know that I have been experiencing a lot of post-covid symptoms. I think for the time being I'm going to try to upload every other week, instead of weekly, until I'm back to my full strength. I hope you understand! I've missed you all so much and am so glad to be back. Can't wait until I can be back to weekly uploads but so happy to be here in the meantime! Hope you all have been well 💚
Dear Salinda, I am amazed that you have such a small community, since I find your content very valuable. You have a wonderful mix of topics and you strike me as a very authentic person. Keep up the great work and the self care. Thank you for reminding be of all the little things I can do to feel better! Happy to hear you got over your sickness well!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! My channel is truly a reflection of all the parts of me, fashion, lifestyle, and my random musings so it really means a lot when people connect with it 💖 I love my community big or small and I'm so happy to have you here!
So glad you are feeling stronger by taking good care of yourself. One of the best tools in self talk is to ask if you would say that to a loved one. It puts everything in perspective. Go on Cuz! Keep feeling stronger every day. Love you.😺
I’ve been struggling with self-love a lot lately. Some days are better than others but this past month has been challenging. So thank you for the amazing advice!! P.s. I love dancing like nobody is watching too hahah!
Lovely video! I think you should get a Moira tattoo next :) Maybe she can chill with the bugs! You could also dress her up a little, give her a cute bow around her neck or a flower hat! Or you could get her pawprint :)
A Moira tattoo is definitely in the plans! I want her little foot (the one with her one black toe!) Maybe with a bow on top? I also am planning one for my parents cat Kitten 🖤
Absolutely love the layout, footage, and editing of this!! So charming to watch. I completely agree with the tip about allowing yourself a few moments to be impulsive when its not in your nature. I grew up in chaos so Ive become a planner to a fault and find a lot of comfort in that, but its a good reminder that there's a time and place to Let Go and see what happens. The snail tattoo is PRECIOUSS, did you have this idea in mind for a while now or was that also on the spot? 10/10 I will think of snails as my chums now
Aw thank you so much! It can be so difficult to bring in impulse when it's against your nature, especially if that nature is a bit of a defence mechanism (I definitely have a lot of 'stuff' linked to wanting to be in control hah) but it's so important to bring it in sometimes! I've had the idea for my Chum before as I knew I wanted lots of bugs and critters on my leg so it was part impulse and part plan!
I'm happy that you're back and well now! Haha I loved snails as a kid too, I used to make them little houses from twigs and rocks lmao. Writing a letter to yourself is such a good idea. I usualy talk to myself in second person (now I realize it's weird, I'm so used to it I thought everyone does it haha) because that way I don't crave validation from other people anymore. It's weird how the change of points of view can trick the mind. Such an amazing video! 😊
Thank you for this beautiful video and sharing these vulnerable moments of your daily life, it made me feel less alone and I feel better after watching this. Your books recommandations are amazing! I have much trouble to find books that are appealing to me and your list just made my day and I can't wait to read them all! Take care ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! And my chum will definitely gain some more pals, I want that lower leg to be all bugs and critters and the like 😆🐌✨
In the last few days I'm really missing just painting with color pencil, like I did when I was a child. Simply let my mind wonder, maybe that's what I'll do!
Thank you, this is a really lovely video and so important for us all to remember!! I do a lot of the things you mentioned. I'm really into cross stitch right now and it's been really calming and definitely a big part of my self-care routine. Adore the Chum tattoo, I used to keep 'pet' snails as a kid 😂Great video 🥰
Hi Salinda Thanks for taking the time to comment. I figured that it was a distant chance but you never know until you ask. These slickers were very popular in their day but impossible to find now. I think hey are a great raincoat. Do you know the style and what do you think of then? Thanks much again Bob
While this is alittle off topic for this video but looking at your videos I see you have a lot of vintage clothing and specifically rainwear Here is where I am hoping you might be able to help me. I have been looking for sometime for one of the old school fashion icon full length yellow or black rubber rain slickers. The style I would love to find was very popular in the 60s little in the 70s but specifically I want the slicker to have brass or black buckles for fasteners collared or hooded (will supplement with souwester) maybe pockets size 2xor3x or similar men's or unisex. Really want full length real rubber with buckles as I already have snap closure rubber slickers. I think these are great raincoats not just for style but for function as well. What are your thoughts on this theory? I also feel a raincoat is not a raincoat unless it is a slicker raincoat. Agree,? Iam somewhat flexible on color but I would like to add one 5 buckled slicker to my selection of rain gear as I wear a raincoat at least 100 times a year. Do you know these old school rain slickers and do you agree they are nice to have? Thanks Bob
