This week I have a cozy winter Dark Academia thrift haul and lookbook and will show some dark academia winter outfit ideas! The dark academia aesthetic is perfect for winter styling and thrifting is a great way to get the dark academia style and cheap dark academia clothing. To add to my dark academia wardrobe in my thrift try on I found silk blouses, vintage skirts, and some dark academia accessories as well. In this cheap winter thrift haul and try on I style all of my dark academia fashion in dark academia and classic vintage styles. I got so many amazing thrift finds but my favourites are my vintage tapestry, tartan skirt, and lots more. I love exploring dark academia fashion and giving thrifted clothes a new life with creative styling. I can't believe I got these thrift finds for such a good deal, the thrift gods truly were looking out for me this week!

I desperately need a waistcoat like that and your fashion sense! I think my fav outfits are those with waistcoat and the one with the green skirt and the grey sweater, but all those are great. And the unicorn is majestic, that's some very pretty tapestry. 🦄

Keep your eye on eBay if you don't have luck at local thrift stores, I've gotten lots of my waistcoats from there for £10 or less! ❤️

My favorite is the plaid skirt, mainly for the buttons! Sometimes I thrift pieces just for the buttons, even if it isn't something that fits otherwise. What great treasures you found!

I'd love to see where that tapestry ends up. And you really know how to make these pieces sing! That black dress would've been something I skipped but now I'm convinced I need to find one. With the right styling it gave it a completely different vibe! Love it!

Wow, I am SO jealous of that tapestry! 🙀 The thrift shops around here never have anything good. Love the outfits you put together too - such versatile pieces! I especially liked the black with the blazer over it, and the pink shirt with the floral skirt.

I have been drifting between whats now called "Dark Academia", Goth and Vintage since my teens in the very early 70s and it crosses over a lot. Its the way I have always felt most comfortable (except my Punk phase in the mid to late 70's) I suppose theres also a bit of heavily vintage "Cottage Core" or whatever people call it too. I have a huge collection back in Scotland which is shared by my sister and I, but which she looks after (I dont have the space in my London Flat) nowadays. It needs taking care of because its from the 1930s onward. I tend to dress day to day in modern, but vintage look and "Dark Academia" which in my head is just "the way I dress" as opposed to any names people hung on it recently.

I think I once owned that exact blouse you're wearing with the kind of densely pintucked front... I had it in white and also orange. ETA: There's a project I've been wanting to do for years, and I've been gradually collecting materials for it for a while now. I've been buying table runners in a bunch of different colors and patterns on clearance, and I plan to slice them in half, stitch some little felt appliques for each piece, and add eclectic tassels to the bottoms to turn them into a wall of cheap and cheerful "tapestries." I don't really mind if they don't come across as super authentic (like, as far as I'm concerned, there's no rule against a "tapestry" with a yellow gingham background), but I am brainstorming various animals, fruits, and heraldic bits and pieces that would at least make for some fun Medieval/Redwall type references. I already have a metric heckton of beaded felt pomegranates bc I kind of went nuts on a Christmas wreath a couple of years ago, haha, so those will get a second life in the fakey tapestry project for sure

Thank you! Yes the tapestry was a little bit spendy...£85 😳 but we already have some big plans for it!
