Show them you are busy with your own life and plans ....you are not at all thinking about them ...this will make them lose their energy...Never think a Narcissist as a normal human being with feelings and don't expect anything good from them

That's not always practical though. Of course no contact is ideal, but whether it's family, acquaintances, the general public or the workplace there will ALWAYS be narcissists that we can't escape from & we need to have experience in how to properly manage them.
@@carpathianken there are ways to escape. I did. Know what you are dealing with and stay silent around them. Do not try to fit in...do not need their approval. Do not tell them what you are doing. Do not respond to them. Be aloof..

Dealing with this now. It’s terrible, like I can’t have my own feelings… & don’t get me started on the “you’re the only person in the world who feels like that” 😭 & im always like oh well, I don’t need validation from others.
Seeing them as an object---not a subject, gave me the ability to treat them with indifference to the best of my wits.They treat you like a nobody so they need to be treated like a nobody to you as well. The hard part is not engaging with them to be right, or proving a point with them...and not getting emotional when you have to be assertive...when necessary. Be stingy to the stingy and giving to the giving.
After breaking up in August, my ex narc called me in October to help him out of a financial jam. Not once. Did he ask me how I was why I moved away nothing The entire conversation was about him all about him.

In deep thinking mode today and just sharing my view of it all. The best lesson for everyone involved to realize is that no matter how one's heart is crushed or damaged, no one actually has the power to stop it from it's caring nature. One may always care about and love someone but it's not a reason to have to remain in a situation where one is left feeling hurt, alone and even hated by them. We ourselves are in a constant battle of how much to open or close our hearts to others, including ourselves. Sadly the narcissist masters one side of this too well. Everyone has a tender heart in the core, it's just a matter of how many layers and type of protection has been built up around it. We all protect our hearts in whatever ways we can. Unfortunately some feel they must strike and defend first and harder. Everyone has different levels of what they can and can't take in life, and It's scary to feel like you can't take and handle something that you feel could crush and hurt you. We all have our ways of ignoring, hiding and fighting against injustices and to keep them from happening but even we can't stop what's ultimately in our heart's core and what it feels, after all it's where our truth is. There's a reason God searches hearts and minds. ✨😉
I know you do 🙌 I have MS (multiple sclerosis) and my mother was my caregiver. I'm 40. I had to get a social worker because I wanted to physically hurt her! I'm her only child and my son (19) is her only grandchild and he hates her 🤷. IT hurt me to my core 😢 but 9 months NC 💪
They are people who give nothing back. No matter how hard you try or how hard you hope, nothing will ever change with them. Plan your exit before you waste too much time. You’re better off alone.
I hate when someone asks for my opinion and then gets angry when it's different from them. (I suppose normal people don't do this) If you don't want my opinion then don't ask.
When they send you a wedding invitation where they’ve pre-filled in the number attending on the rsvp card to 1, which leaves out one of the two of you and one is disabled and can’t travel alone, you cross out the 1 and make it a 0, check the “regrets” box, and only add a “hope you have a happy life together”. No addition of *why* you two aren’t coming-no reasons, justifications, and/or excuses, IOW nothing about yourselves, not a single detail. No nastygram about how rude and insulting they are. No card and/or gift (especially because you already know that they have a history of throwing all of your gifts in the garbage anyway). No open-ended statements or questions about them. Write “be happy” because you sincerely wish them no harm and want to be polite and kind. Discuss the rsvp with no family members because they will gossip back to the soon to be married narcissist and say who knows what about you and then gang up on you and your spouse when you really want NC with any of them. Done.
One thing I noticed about a narcissist ex 'friend' of mine is that he'd constantly praise himself by putting it in the mouths of others. "People always tell me 'oh, you're so generous', or " people tell me 'you're so spiritual', or "such-and-such a person said to me " you're such a loving person". This would always be framed as a rebuke to me for not showing him the Respect and, basically, worship he felt I owed him. "This is how loved I am by others, why don't you automatically show me this personal subservience? You must be a very wicked person! You have a lot of work to do on yourself to make yourself acceptable!" Well f*** you, you're gone..! And he is. Don't know what happened to him. Care less...
Run run fast and don't ever look back because they will try to lure you into their Narcissistic pool of people they abuse...a Narcissist keeps their supply pool filled so the best thing you can do is run & sprint onward.
How about just ignore them PERIOD! This just happened to me a few weeks ago after seeing my ex. After a few, I just acted like he wasn't even in the room and we were on close proximity of one another.

Either you've never known a narcissist, or you are one. Narcs are all about game playing and manipulation. There is no good way to deal with a narc. The only thing one can do is to protect oneself from them as they are the most damaging types to be involved with
