I'm in a very basic level of Dutch, and I still don't have confidence to learn some words and sentences without my native language. But I believe that, as long as I progress, I will be able to learn Dutch with Dutch itself, I already do so with English (I'm advanced in English). Ps: I'm Brazilian, but I've been using English as native language to learn Dutch, because I already have confidence to do it. Ps2: Alisha, your videos are simply great, your English is comprehensible for everyone and the tips you show are so useful.

Wow, I can understand everything! Of course I’m a native English speaker so that helps. Seriously, when you were talking about watching movies without subtitles, I finally realized by subtitles you mean subtitles in your native language. At least that’s what I think you meant after watching it. Anyway, I’m learning French, finding it very difficult to understand much of anything on TV or movies. I’m trying of sequence of watching with English subtitles, then watching with French subtitles, then finally watching without subtitles. I hope that, combined with just lots and lots of watching, will get me to that level of comfort with the language. Thanks for your suggestions.

Your Japanese “コンピューター” is very charming,so I like it.and I also like that you say 「お水」instead of 「水」because it sounds more polite.

@@thekamol wow! Are you sure? I've heard so many native speakers and they sound a little different, she speaks like using the structure of a learner, I mean, I'm not saying she isn't a good speaker, actually I'm always watching her videos... but I feel her pronunciation seems more like a Spanish learner. She Sounds different if compare her way to speak with a politician or an actor, or maybe compared with news reporter... I don't know, I'm not that sure.
