I will be 62 in March. I didn't know what I was looking for when I find your channel, but am so glad I found you. I just love everything you are sharing. I am addicted to your channel now. I didn't want to go back to working in and office again, but now I want to just to dress up again and try out your suggestions. Thank you so much!!
Really enjoyable to watch your utube broadcasts, helpful hints and ideas to put clothes together. Bought a necklace to finish off an outfit last week. Thank you : )
Thank you, Kay. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I can see the love of Christ in you. So refreshing! I'm in South Florida, so I live vicariously through you all.
Hi kate, I love your style, long time trying to find someone like you and finally found the best style person for womens 50+ Thanks for all you do, very helful
I love fashion and watching you is helping use every thing I have in my closet. Thanks Kay. I smile when I see you. The joy of the Lord is in you! How blessed we are😊😊😊
I have found my best clothing at the stores TJ Max, Dillards,Ross... I have spent a fraction of the money, yet they are work horses in my wardrobe. I am so blessed all these stores are right in my neighborhood, within a 5 min drive..I did so much Christmas shopping pre covid, and my gifts were worth double the money
For those who find Talbots too expensive I actually found 2 really nice sweatshirts at Wal-Mart! One was a pretty pink similar to the one you showed and the other was a deep cranberry color. I also like to shop at thrift stores like DFW and there’s one in Cincinnati where you can find name brand clothes for less.
(using husband's YT account ) Loyal Talbot's fan ! They have frequent great sales & many colors coordinate from season to season ; I 've had many pieces for years ( decades ? ! ) & appreciate the quality , especially since I work outside ( jeans , t's & hoodies ) & therefore need classic investment pieces that can go easily from casual to dressed up when the occasion arises .
I agree with taking advantage of Talbot’s great sales! I buy at full price sometimes, when it is something I really love, but for quality basics they are terrific. I have been wearing some of my Talbots clothes for many years. Classic styles, and they last for years!
For less expensive try Talbots , Chicos end of the year online sales. That is when I get the majority of my clothes. Also, ebay and Poshmart for belts, purses and blazers. Happy Spring shopping.
Great ideas! I always struggle with when to wear my white skinny jeans - they are too hot in summer, ok in winter but I am never really in the mood for them, so early spring is just perfect!
I live in a warmer climate and love wearing these colors Kay. I do paint my own nails and love the pinks, fushia and corals for spring/summer. I also own a couple trench coats and love the style it can give an outfit. Great video Kay💗
Kay, I loved all your tips in this video! I’m ready for Spring down here in NC. When you mentioned OPI’s Cha-Ching Cherry polish, which is my very favorite, I wanted to say this color is great because it goes well wearing pinks and red, too! May God bless you! Thank you for your ministry in your blog!
Good Morning Kay! We are knee-deep in snow here in Michigan so your video today was so refreshing!! I have started my list of clothes to shop for in the spring after watching your video today. Chinos, white sneakers and white jeans are at the top of the list along with a colorful cotton sweater possibly in a pretty green. Even though it will be a while before all this snow disappears, it is so nice to look forward to changing out our wardrobe.
Yes! I also purchased a number of cotton sweaters in cheerful colors that I wore in the fall but put away for winter. So comfortable, breathable, classic, and versatile. Also I can't wait to break out my denim jacket collection. Can't wait to wear them all, hopefully sooner rather than later. Here in PA, it's cold and snowy in March, cold and rainy in April, and finally warmer and sunny in May. Thanks for the great ideas
Hi, Kay, I'm new to your channel, just subscribed! I love all the tips you shared, as well as the outfits! You look so pretty in pastels, especially that beautiful pink! When you mentioned living in Cincinnati, I couldn't believe it (thought you to be a Southern lady, just a bit of accent to my ear😉). We relocated from NE Ohio to Miamisburg (not far from Dayton) almost two years ago! Our oldest is located in Hamilton, twenty miles from Cinci where he and his wife both work. It's a small world, neighbor☺️!! It is snowing as I write this! Like you, we are so ready for Spring and so thankful for our warm home near all three of our Kids' families - they were our impetus to relocate, especially to enjoy our seven grands♥️. Thank you so much for being a voice on RU-vid, sharing your tips with all of us! For me you're a God sent gift and I'm so glad to have found you! Sending warm 🤗. - Susan
I was born, grew up, went to college, and worked 38 years in NW Washington. I worked a final 7 years in Southern California, and LOVE going outside to lay in the sun every day for 20-30 minutes!
Hi Kay. I'm also a pastor's wife in the beautiful island of Cyprus. I'm so thrilled that we too can dress elegantly. Why not? Thank you for sharing your lovely styles with us. God bless you 🙏 ☺️
I know I’m ready for spring. Actually, I’m ready for summer. I was not made for winter. It was cold even in Georgia yesterday. I know we haven’t gotten the weather everyone else has. And I’m thankful for that. I feel for people who have cold and no power. That stinks. But it will pass soon I hope. I’m ready for some 90 degree days. It can’t come soon enough. I love the pastel colors you were showing. I’m going to be cleaning my closet soon, so I can find some of my tees.
How much I needed this!!! Here in N GA we have bulbs coming up so I know it’s time to lighten up and get out there and look for new life, wherever it may be found, starting first with my own winter heart. New to your channel and want to thank you for it ALL!
I live in Idaho, we have a late spring too so I will most likely watch this again in April. But it makes me able to start watching for those pieces to add now. I recently bought the best denim jacket and white Levi's. I'm excited, thank you!
That pink is beautiful on you, it is my favorite color. I am 64 and am in debt so far I have not purchased any new clothes in about 5 years or so. Would love to be able to do this but I wear the same clothes year round. Very thankful that I have clothes to wear to my jobs
Hi Kay, lovely video today. I can’t wait for spring. I live in Surrey England and when I go for a walk or run, I can see the bulbs peeking through, it is truly my favourite season of the year. I get very excited by the seasons because I come from Durban South Africa which is tropical. Thank you so much for your tips and hints, I am going to look to bring a little more colour into my wardrobe and definitely saving for a trench coat. With the ageing process I have outgrown my old one 😉 have a fab week 💐
Love your channel Kay! I would love to see a video on how to style and wear dresses for everyday. I find dresses are harder to pull off without looking overdressed sometimes. I love the southern vibe women like Reese Witherspoon pull off and I think she generally dresses very southern but very classy. Thanks Kay!
I too love 100% cotton sweaters and love the pretty pink one. I think we are all ready for spring with this horrible weather we are having. Live in Minnesota and it has been bitter. I wear the cha-ching cherry OPI nail polish in the spring and summer, but think I need a new bottle. Last years doesn't look so good. My hairdresser should carry it. Thought I missed your BFMD but found Psalm 23:1-2 referenced in 1st page. Thanks
Lovely choices to get us thinking spring. I'm from the coldest spot in Canada, so can't think about spring for awhile! I love your style and ideas about creating outfits for warmer weather though.
Great suggestions, Kay! You look wonderful in all the spring clothing. Can't wait for warmer weather. Currently, six inches of snow on the ground and it's sleeting...in Texas.
Hi Kate. Just discovered your videos and really enjoy them! I am always ready for spring! And do always have to add a few new colorful pieces each year. Have already bought a few online as it takes the stores a while to get in new stock. Just seeing them in my closet makes me feel better
Thanks for putting up all the links. I've been putting off shopping since I gained weight during the lockdowns. Love those caramel loafers, I'm going to get those. I wore my navy trench coat yesterday, it was a little drizzly here in central TX. I felt really put together even though I still had on my Asics and a T-shirt.
Thanks Kay! A few thoughts ... a pretty silk scarf can also be tied around your purse handle for more of a fashion statement vs. a practical use but either way, it brightens a look. And, I just watched another YT influencer who mentioned that any large pattern that is horizontal makes us look so much wider and ages us. A much more narrow stripe or pattern, especially if it is vertical is more flattering. Love the pretty colors. Happy almost Spring!
hi Kay, fun ideas. My hair is cut similar to yours but I just love how you style it. Have you ever done a hairstyle video? I'd sure be interested in seeing how you style it.... darling!
Kay, your videos are great! Could you please do a video on buying a bathing suit? Styles that are flattering, creating a beach capsule, how not to look matronly, etc. We all want to enjoy the beach, and I talk myself into accepting myself and enjoy the sun, sand, and surf--but having confidence sure helps! thanks in advance! and hoping.
Hahaha! I’ll work on it. It’s not easy for me either. I purchased half a dozen suits last year and sent them all back. I just settled for my old ones. Ugh. But I’ll try my best. 😉
@@DressedforMyDaywithKayHarms I'm now wearing, at age 66, Longitude Swim dresses. I'm a size 10-12, but those thighs! cellulite! veins! oh well, it is what it is!
Loved the pink sweater you were wearing Kay it was really fresh n flattering. Will be placing an order this week for some new tee tops in some lovely pastel shades to brighten up outfits for spring. Take care best wishes from England 🇬🇧
Hi Kay- had to laugh because though I also can't wait for spring, the tee, chinos and denim jacket will have to wait 'til April. Cincinnati in March is still pretty much winter and can even see ice and snow. Our weather is bi-polar though, so there can be some warm days as well. Have lived in the Queen City my whole life so as a newcomer-welcome.
Thank you Kay! I recently lost a substantial amount of weight and I can now choose clothes I want rather than clothes that just fit or cover. Sadly, most of my new winter clothes have spent more time in the closet as I am working from home and that cute leopard jacket I wanted to wear over black is not necessary at my home computer or grocery store! I love your tips and the the mantra to go Modern and not younger. I am so glad I found you! Three cheers from this Yankee in the green hills and valleys of New Your State. Oh and I like that the colors you choose are appropriate for pale blue eyes blonds like yourself, or hazel dark haired gals like me.
Thank you for the inspiration video.. I went shopping for spring outfits today and I was thinking of your video.. I found a denim trench coat today at Mauries! And Christopher and Banks had a big sale on spring bottoms..
Pink is definitely your color. 😀 Really like the length of your sweater. Hoping it'll be easier to find longer length spring shirts this year. It's been difficult to find them in previous years.
Once again great classy advice! I must admit this past year of staying home has made me feel sloppy but I am really trying to get back to dressing better just to make myself feel more normal!! God bless!
I'm definitely ready for spring! I live in NE Ohio where it's usually slow arriving, but you have given lots of practical ways to lighten up and incorporate more color. Your sweater is beautiful!!
Bonjour! Your personal style and tips are wonderful, just like what we call French chic in our beautiful country, France. Your suggestions for spring are timeless and refreshing at the same time!! :) Thank you!
