Bought the perfect pearls years ago. Finally making time to use them. Thank you so much for the information. Never crossed my mind to use them on top of colored ink. And did not remember you had to set them with water.
I’m so glad you did this video! I forgot about Perfect Pearls an d how versatile it is. I am going to dig it out of my stash and put it on my desk to night. Why is it that we get convinced that if it’s new it must be better. I have so many compulsive buys in my craft supplies!
Clearing out craft room and found the unopened Perfect Pearls!! This video has given me so many ideas. I absolutely love the black and gold one, Thank you
So glad you made the “old new again”…I’m new to card making and recently inherited a large stash of Perfect Pearls. I had no idea what to do with them…before now! Thanks for the great video on their versatility.
Thank you Justine for sharing such great ways to use the Perfect Pearls I bought so many years ago. They are perfect for Valentine Day cards to offer shimmer without all that glitter. Happy Valentine's Day.
Nice demo on perfect pearls. I have had them in my stash for awhile. Always looking for different ways to use them. Never thought of using stencils. They leave a unique delicate finish. They are frequently demoed on black cardstock which I think is boring. There are so many pretty colors They can be used with. I feel much more confident about using them now!
I bought crafting supplies from a lady that was not crafting anymore and there was some Perfect Pearl powder in what I bought. I never knew what to do with it so it just sat there. Thank you for this video, now I can finally use it!
Thanks for using perfect pearls! (Or any older type craft supplies!) I just love being inspired to use stuff in my stash! I learned new ways to use my Perfect Pearls and saw some new colors I didn’t know about...Thanks for that! 💕✨🌷 (oh, yes, love sending valentines...to my friends, my family, my hubby, my kid...it’s just a happy holiday!) ❤️💕❤️
I have 4 packages of Perfect Pearls that I bought at my local Joannes. My mom loves them, so I picked some up. Sadly, I couldn’t find too many videos on what you could do with them, and the instructions on the packaging could be better. The only thing I have done with them is add them to a mister bottle of water to make spritz that I use on my distress ink backgrounds! Looks great, but I needed more ideas! Thank you for this video! I have a nursing home bound aunt that I love to send cards to. It gives me a lot of excuses to play with new products, and she love getting new cards!
🧚🏻♀️Loved your video on Perfect Pearls Justine! Thank you so much! I’ve had my set for about 10 years and lost the instructions! Now I can’t wait to create with them.😘💐
Hello Justine, I happen to be going through my stash and found a Perfect Pearls kit that has four colors, two brushes and the Perfect Medium. Needless to say, I had forgotten how to use them. You and your RU-vid came to my rescue. Thank you for your demonstration.
Woww, what an awesome technique, to use versamark ink with perfect pearls. Thank you for sharing :) recently discovered your channel and it becomes pretty addictive. Love your work!!! Hugs from Romania 🤗😍😘
Thank-you for the “of course” water tip l didn’t know. Your videos are clear, concise & low key ~ a pleasure to watch. The planning & efforts you put into them are much appreciated. Thank-you for helping me to “shop my stash” even while stretching creatively!
I love making valentine cards but need to get better about sending them. Everyone should get a love note on Valentine’s Day. You don’t have to be a significant other to celebrate this fun holiday. ❤️
this is totally NOT what i thought perfect pearls were for, so i am grateful to get a good compendium of ideas how to use them. I will now open the package (that i've had for several years, unused!)
I love sending cards for every holiday or special day....so all my kids, grandkids, great-grands, my close friends and relatives. I usually do about 20 special cards for holidays other than Xmas so am always looking for different techniques and card ideas. This one will be PERFECT for Easter because of the pastels and will be the first time I actually use my Perfect Pearls, thanks to you and your inspiration.
I know that I am VERY late to this party ( 2 years to be exact,) but I wanted to answer the question asked of the listeners @ roughly 6:30. Do we make valentines day cards? If so, who do we make them for and do we actually send our cards out. For years now, long before I ever even thought about buying and/or using stamps and such, I have made cards for all the kids in the family and all the kids in my personal life. Now, some of these kids are teens and pre-teens. This required me to step up my game gone are the days things such as Glitter glue, colored construction paper, and sequence are all the needed materials. My cards making styles, techniques, and Materials have definitely matured to match the "kid" who is the recipient :)
Valentines is also my wedding anniversary, so it is very special to me. I send Valentines to my two daughters and their husbands, my grandson and a special friend whose birthday is on Valentine’s Day and of course my husband of 37 years.❣️ I have a small set of Perfect Pearls but have not ever used them, now I will have to try them. Thanks, as usual your videos are awesome!
I’ve only started to make Valentine’s Day cards the last couple years. I make them for all my single lady friends and immediate family. Thanks for this video. I’m always looking for ways to use stuff I already have.
In younger grades, in class we had to make a Valentine’s Day card for everyone in class. I remember even in first grade some kids who weren’t as popular really responded to getting a card, it kind of created an opening even if it was artificial. It really taught me not to miss out on who might be real inside their invisible, shy, or closed self. So being forced to make cards for everybody was so valuable. Thanks for bringing back that memory, 60+ years ago ☺️🙏🕊.
Very nice cards! Yes, I ‘send’ Valentines to my family. I started about 4 years ago. Lawn Fawn has a heart shaped pizza stamp. So my husband, our adult children, and our grandchildren each get a card. With an invitation to a lunch or dinner at a favorite pizza restaurant. Cards are different every year. Grandkids range from 5-17 now. I think everyone has fun. I know I do! 😊
Great tips. Will definitely dig mine out and try some. Loved that embossing folder on black with gold. And that last card is just too funny. Might have to go and buy that stamp set 🤣
I only make a Valentines card for my 96 year old mother because it help lift her spirits because she has been in a nursing home for almost nine years. I am ready to try a few of your Perfect Pearls techniques after watching your great video.
Yes I make valentines cards ♥️ and send them - they are already in the mail. I didn’t even know about perfect pearls I’m so going to buy them right now omg!!! Thanks
Pretty cool! I love seeing all of these different products....so helpful. When you lifted that die cut flower, there was a reverse image on your mat. I wonder if there was a way to use that?
Great tips, thanks Justine ❤️. Remember to use a dust mask when working with mica and fine powders. I also suggest that you provide PPE advice to your viewers. These powders are not good for your lungs.
Thanks for the refresher course. My perfect pearls are burried so deep I haven't seen them for years. I forgot how wonderful they are. I'm going to have to search them out and use them again. God only knows what other relicks I'll find. It's like opening up a time capsule.
Fun ideas...time to take Perfect Pearls out of my drawer to play again! I make Valentines for my best friends and family. They love the pick-me-up in the midwinter😉
In Australia, if we send a Valentine, it's really only to our "significant other". It seems some people in the US make them for all their kids' friends and for all their family?? It's not such a big holiday here, but some people are more "mushy" than my husband and I - we really don't celebrate it! Occasionally, I have made a card, but only every now and then. These tips for perfect pearls are great -thanks! I only have one jar of the original pearls so I tend to hoard them. I have a spritzer with PP in it - and forget I have it. I must remember to try some more of your techniques.
I make tons of Valentine cards for my many many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, I make them for my friends, and for family members. That turns out to be about 60 or 70 cards! So I need a lot of ideas! Lol!
Love your nail polish 💅😃 I recently purchased a couple of perfect pearls and tried it only once! Turned out great. I should use them more often. Not really making Valentine’s card, I was planning to make one for my husband this year but.... we are moving next week and most of my supplies are already packed up 😩
Great ideas & techniques, thank you for sharing them, I'm enjoying the craft hop and I L👀k forward to watching many more videos... Please stay safe my lovelies... 💫🖌🎨🤯🎨✏💫
This is a great list of ways to use Perfect Pearls! I usually only use them for regular stamping. I also didn't know you could do the water-spritzing thing to set them. Thought you had to spray them with a fixative. That's great! Thanks for this informative video! (Just FYI - Siri tells me there's only one L in stenciling.)
Yes, I make about10 or 12 Valentine cards. In the process now. Started making them for my granchildren and then decided to change one, so still making that one!
Love the embossing folder you used on that black card, but I don't see it in your product list...did I miss it, or is it not available any longer? Just wondering what it's called, so maybe someday I can get one myself. LOVED that card btw! I have trouble using perfect pearls, water doesn't seem to set it...so it comes off on my hands still. I'd probably use it more if it didn't do that cause I do love the look it makes!
I mentioned in the video I think that it came with my Gemini Jr embossing machine. It actually snapped in half after I finished running it through my machine :(
Well I guess I missed that...but that totally sucks! Even my cheap ones haven't done that so far. Guess I wouldn't want to find one then, if they are going to do that. LOL
Valentine's-day is not really a thing overhere in the Netherlands, so no, I don't sent or make these kind of cards. But the perfect pearls look very beautiful.
I make Valentine's cards at a monthly card class and also at home. I have a lot of cards on file and make up packets with envelopes to give away to beauticians, family and friends!
How funny that you asked about Valentine's card..I HAVE NEVER MADE VALENTINES CARDS but am planning on sending them to my grandbabies this year...I didn't do Christmas cards this year...first year in many that I didn't but just wasn't in the right mood but feeling better now so plan on making them for the first time this year...
Glad you're feeling better and better late on those Christmas cards than never lol. Sometimes I get like that too and just don't feel up to it. I usually make them, just need to put more effort into sending
@@justinehovey I hate to admit this but I had enough already made to send...I just wasn't in the right head space at that time.....but I am now so planning on starting my 1st time Valentine's cards in the next couple of days...I am not mailing any of them since making them for family/grandchildren that are in my area....
Thanks Justine! I too like to make cards for my girlfriends and my boyfriend. I need to pay more attention to using the double-sided adhesive on the foil card stock because I always seem to have a problem with that.
I make several Valentine cards and send a couple out to my Mom and friends. Then the others go to assisted living communities in our area, long time care facilities and some different departments at work.
I do not normally make Valentine's Day cards, but I am making my mother one this year, she has Dementia, and anything I can to brighten part of her day I try to do.
