I don't think even Jericho at his most hellish could get Reigns over. He's just got too much damn charisma that I don't see how anyone could choose to cheer Reigns.
+Ed_Vilon I still don't think it would work... The problem is, Jericho is so over with the fans, that putting Reings over him would make the fans boo EVEN MORE. The mystery continues...:P
i didnt even really have an issue the DX squashing the spirit squad.....but if you're going to do that, then at the very least let Cody/Dibiase jr go over! now THAT was the right move
Holy shit. That sign: "Sir. I feel compelled to inform you that we are not booing b/c of your effective heel work, we're booing b/c you're awful." Paraphrasing, but still. Hilarious.
+dj squirrel To be fair they did try to make it a feud. The problem was that no one really gave a shit because how could anyone care about Michael fucking McGillicutty when Triple H vs Lesnar is going on.
Electrifying 3:16 I thought they stopped it after triple h had a legit concussion and had to stop the match cause triple h had a bit of time off after that match
***** The thing, HHH was ENGAGED to Chyna WHEN he began courting Steph. Why Taker let HHH fuck Chyna over - as HHH asked The Phenom for advice and both The Deadman & HHH persuaded Vince McMahon to turn a blind eye to the fact "Daddy's Little Girl" was dating the same mid-carder/future main event/inevitable heir apparent he punished for the MSG Curtain Call - boggles the mind.
Emul soft Vince is like George Lucas. A good story teller at times, but he needs to be reeled in and told no now and then. He's never told no, so a lot of his ideas either fizzle out or don't work at all.
Well he did originally get him over back in December, along with Sheamus and Vince, until he decided to pretty much go into business for himself and be the cool, badass, crotch chopping heel again, likely to satiate his own ego.
+rodycaz Rollins gets cheered, pops during his entrance, they chant his name and recieves ovations while Reigns gets booed. So you're argument is invalid.
There was one time when Roman Reigns good have gotten over. The year Batista returned for the Royal Rumble, fans were actually cheering Roman during the Rumble. If Roman had won the Rumble, he might have gotten the push WWE wanted him to get.
If Reigns, Ambrose and Bryan had re-formed the SHIELD at the '15 Rumble and had fought off Rusev as a team, then had Bryan go up against and beat Lesnar at Mania 31, then had Rusev or Rollins injure Bryan into vacating the title, crown Ambrose champion at Summerslam before Rollins cashes in on him and takes him out of commission before the next Royal Rumble, becoming Champion himself. Then Roman wins Money In The Bank '15 and cashes in on Rollins at Wrestlemania, creating a triple-threat (From the start) between himself, Rolins and the winner of Rumble '16, AJ Styles. If that didn't get Roman over, I don't know what would.
the only time the aueience have been right about not wanting someone thats never here to win, but what about when lesnar returns? stfu aueience and stop being indecisive XD
Emin Mahmudov There's a video with Sting where he talked about why he didn't joined WWF in the beginning. He says that he saw the way they handled Booker - Alliance and WWF in the ring. Booker and Rock cleaning house. They came back to back, turned to face each other, and Rock asked Booker "who are you?" Sting said that sent a clear message to him on the way WCW guys would be treated in the WWF and he didn't trust how he would be used. Years later, Sting joins the WWF and loses his debut WM match to HHH in a WWF v WCW rehash. I don't know if Booker had been running his mouth, but if he had, if definitely didn't help.
EagleEdStudios Yeah, it lasted one freaking day! The same thing happened when Sheamus was World Champion and Reigns won it. They did their job, for one day.
Noggest Give me proof of this. Not you saying "they only cover WWE" because that is a lie, and not "they never trash WWE" because that is extremely not true.
General Kunta Did you not payed any attention? This video is about how Triple H couldn't, as in he tried to get people over. Otherwise we would've seen Booker T, Sting and CM Punk and others HHH wouldn't/refused to put over.
INCORRECT. The Great Khali had ONE good match where he actually looked like he could wrestle. And the man who polished that turd and made it a diamond for one night only - Cesaro.
trailmarker #6 Jericho has way too much charisma to get Reigns over, Jericho is in someways more popular than ever right now while Reigns is still so meh.
trailmarker #6 The undertaker probably could. A 60 minute (bare with me) iron man match. at wrestlemania. if taker loses he retires. clearly you need to help build romans offense before hand. have him get "injured" for several serveral months as he works over his offensive style into something more enjoyable. (he's also going to need to work for free because to get taker to agree he is going to be getting the payday of a lifetime) and have Undertaker take an early lead like 2-0 and have roman work back and take the lead 3-2. Then as the clock counts down fans get more and more desperate to see Undertaker win. and just as the clock hits about 5 have taker hit the tombstone piledriver. As the ref counts to 3 the match ends in a 3-3 draw. Then have Roman and Undertaker both congratulate each other in the ring. Taker holds up romans hand. hopefully crowd cheering. This gives roman a chance to be over (hopefully) and it gives mark the freedom to chose to retire or not because he neither won nor lost. thats just my idea. getting roman over is like getting Christians to believe satan is an all right guy. it doesnt happen.
He tried with Roman but seriously everyone knows that only good matches Triple H puts on are for his buddies and puts on crap for everyone else and tries to bury guys in the process.
S Pangburn because he was already over with the fans when this list is called ten wrestlers triple h couldn't get over not wouldn't put over those are two completely different meanings
Triple H was trying to put over the Spirit Squad and Carlito, probably Test and Kali too? Really? Simon even said Trips and Shawn couldn't be bothered.
1. Goldberg was over with the ignorant masses - and still is - when sensible fans know the big hoss can NOT wrestle beyond 2 minute squashes. He sucks in general. Making him out to be greater than Taker by beating Brock Lesnar in under 2 minutes when Brock's an actually accredited, former UFC competitor (albeit overhyped, much like his wrestling career) & is the guy who beat the only Streak worth mentioning (Undertaker fought established stars throughout most of his career, whereas Goldberg's over-inflated BULLSHIT of 173-0 that WCW pulled from its asshole was because the ex-football tackle [hence the Spear] fought mid-carders [DDP & Regal, with the latter proving Goldberg's lack of ability] & jobbers [both longterm company guys paid to take the fall & local scrubs], whilst the only reason Goldberg beat Hulk Hogan was because the Hulkster allowed it to happen, as otherwise, he could've used creative control to make WCW's only homegrown creation [as even the nWo was stolen from a New Japan stable concept & the first two founders of the nWo, the Outsiders, were members of the KLIQ, alongside the founding fathers of DX, as the KLIQ originated the hook 'em horns hand gesture, the crotch chop, and every other taunt that current day equivalents like the Bullet/Balor Club have borrowed] look like a laughingstock, which they ultimately did by using a taser to end Goldberg's farce record, after which the mystique of Goldberg died quicker than one of his usual matches) IS a joke. 2. Vince hates WCW & always wanted anyone associated with that promotion to look weak against his established stars.
How to get Roman over in WWE as a face (10-step plan): Step 1: Make him lose. Step 2: Make him flounder in the mid card for a bit. Step 3: Put him in a losing feud against Big Cass sometime before Survivor Series. Step 4: Have Enzo come out and be a true dick to Reigns. Step 5: Make sure Enzo and Cass are heels by this point. Piss on Reigns if that gets the job done. Step 6: Have Enzo and Cass gang up on Reigns. Step 7: Have Rollins come out and help fight off Enzo and Cass. Step 8: Have the tag match at Survivor Series. Step 9: Have R&R win at Survivor Series and continue the feud for a month or two. Step 10: Have Roman lose the Royal Rumble while entering after number 20 to Seth who enters in the first 10 slots. This isn't a guaranteed way to get the man over, but if this doesn't work, nothing ever will.
Enzo and Cass isn't the right team for this idea. I would say The Club would be a better choice. It would help them and Roman(maybe😉). MOST IMPORTANT THING:IT COULD GIVE US A FEUD BETWEEN THE CLUB AND SHIELD.
Delete Obsolete Mules Yeah, I chose Enzo and Cass because I thought they'd be an easy team to turn true heel, but the Club works even better. Good idea m8!
4:25 that dude in the orange in front row I've seen him at almost every ppv. he's been to WM 25 Summerslam 2009 WM 26 or certain ppvs and he's always in the front row along with the same family sitting next to him. damn I wish I had a pass like that
i know who you're talking about and no its not him. theres another guy that literally goes to EVERY SINGLE SHOW EVERY SINGLE PPV all year around. and he wears the same shirt to every show. literally the same fucking shirt. if you go on instagram you can find him his name is @brocklenarguy
I don't think Roman will ever be over until he becomes a heel. It worked for the Rock. Remember when he debuted as a face, "Rocky Maivia" and was eventually met with "DIE ROCKY DIE!" chants? WWE turned him heel, and then he got insanely over. I feel similar could work with Roman.
Reigns wouldn't fall under the same category as Hogan, Rock, and probably Cena. Reigns would be a hated heel. Someone who gets heat. He wouldn't be the cool bad guy. The fans wouldn't use a turn as an excuse to cheer him. But Reigns would get over.
Roman is average on the ring and he's not good on the mic, he can't go past the midcard. The Rock had A LOT of charisma, that's what put him over, Roman just can't do it. He's a respectable worker, but he does not belong into the main event.
I agree with the Test one. Even when I was a mark in the 90s, even I was wondering why Test never got his revenge against Triple H after the wedding segment. And when Stephanie addressed Test and his group about it, they don't even acknowledge it.
im not even sure what this video is about. Kane and Orton are massively over. HHH never needed to get them over. Are you just saying these are guys HHH was supposed to get over but couldnt during 1 feud? I mean, I guess you're right. But hell theres a lot more guys than just this lol.
TyFhoonBoom look at the feuds and who won them also look at how he was booked compared to them. Although Lesnar, and Bryan I honestly forgot about I also don't believe Cena necessary buried anyone besides Nexus
I got a great idea, how about WWE aka Vince stops trying to get Reigns over, make him go heal, then the boos would be appropriate. and I mean make him go full dark side, like striking a deal with triple h, make seth rollins lose to kevin owens in a steel cage match, or spear cesaro's mom
0:07 - Lol, did someone actually bring that sign? Anyway, how many of these were instances where Triple H tried to put someone over vs. times he just buried his opponent? Things like Carlito and the Spirit Squad just seem like straight burials. Not so much "couldn't get over" as "wouldn't put over". DX vs. the Legacy is another such example (why let the up-and-comers get ahead when you can just kick them around and get cheered a little more?). Kozlov and Reigns, okay, fine those were genuine efforts to get them over and Triple H's work was not paid in kind but I see more "Triple H isn't playing ball" stories in this list than times Triple H was working to make someone shine and them not being well-received regardless. At best there were instances like Orton and Nash where no one gave a toss either way. Triple H was TOO over (so everyone was tired of the schtick) and the other guy was either too uninteresting (Nash) or wasn't playing the right character (Orton). In fact Orton played both sides of that coin since their feud at WrestleMania XXV was one where no one cared because the whole affair was stale and boring.
Roman Reigns gets one of the loudest reactions in WWE right now, who cares if people are cheering or not ? Dude performs @ a high level in the ring and has embraced his polarizing position. Seth Rollins has been in 16x straight ppv matches and yet Roman is the one being pushed down our throat.
Rollins is over. People want to see him. With Reigns' persona right now many people do not want to see him. He is not getting heel boos he is getting X-Pac boos but he still keeps getting pushed. That is why he is being pushed down our throats. If he had been the heel against Rusev he would have gotten massive heel heat and people would have wanted to see the match. Instead he keeps being considered the face even when being a massive jerk. People do not want the good guy to be an asshole and they don't want someone who is only going to be a face. They do not want a new Cena/first-run-Hogan they want people who go on both sides.
+John Berry You're the exact definition of cancer m8. Congratulations! You're probably another one of those fake accounts trying to make people mad though, which is why you have a bikini girl as your profile picture and 187 subscribers with no videos, so I won't bother replying to you after this.
I think if you put Cena against Roman the crowd will either cheer for the young blood, or cheer for the established. Either way they will have to choose a side. It's a risk but destroying Cena might get Roman over.
I'm sick of people booing Reigns now, they only do it because it's the 'cool' thing to do... Yeah he's not amazing but he doesn't warrant the reaction he gets
I'm not going to lie... I'm also a Roman Reigns Fan... But I also understand why people are booing to an extent... I think it's more that he's being Shoved down our throats :)
He is shoved down our throats, only has 5 moves, terrible on the mic and stil the only one with the shield gimmick. Seriously how can you guys not know this.
It will be really hard to get the people to cheer Roman. Thank you, "Creative" Team, and thank you, Daniel Booyan's fans, thank you for ruining everything.
taytertot jenkins He was still supposed to elevate him past where he was at though. Punk in 2011 was essentially Austin in 97. A made man yes, but still so many heights to achieve
I actually liked Test quite a bit back in the attitude era. He could really move for a guy with his size and power, and he had alot of intensity. He kinda slowly lost credibility after the whole stephanie wedding story arc though and never really got it back.
reigns isnt a lost cause, hes talented + he has good mic skills, the haters are the jealous cunts and the cunts that dont care about in ring performance but just cheer or boo the who others cheer and boo. im sure stephanie mcmahon once said it about the audience following others etc she was right ;)
Triple H is arguably the most overrated wrestler of all time. And at the beginning of the vid you said Jericho and Rock benefitted from feuding with him. No he benefitted from feuding with them. It made it look like he was on their level talent wise, and he absolutely was/is not.
Not really. While Foley helped get HHH on the map, for example, HHH was, by & large, the better all-around wrestler, whereas Foley was the brawling, fall-from-high-places-and-nearly-die, sacrifice-yourself-entirely-for-the-business type.
The video tells me the video is about guys Triple H couldn't get over. You then give me a video of guys Triple H never tried to get over. Guys he "destroyed" (your words). Click bait. Thumbs down. Boooo
That's b/c Vince hates black ppl, which has nothing to with his daughter's husband, who probably uses said hubby's 3-foot nose as a dildo (as HHH himself cheekily said: "Even a 747 looks small when flying into the Grand Canyon").
CM punk was a top star during his run. These are people that never became top stars because of hhh feud. Punk became one way before he started feuding with the game. Do you remember the straight edge society?
I was behind Triple H through it all, ever since I started watching wrestling when I was 2 in 1998 Trips has been my favorite wrestler. 2003-2005 was my favorite period because of Evolution and Triple H burying everyone
Chuck Shingledecker You’re not witty because you took that quote from others lol He was the top heel. Without Joker, Batman is boring. Lol Same philosophy. Triple H was the villain that kept the glue together in 2000-01. Who cares if he wasn’t the guy. Neither was Taker and many more.
I feel like Simon is one of the few guys that liked Vince's World Bodybuilding Federation (WBF)... Also, I like Simon, but this is a title that's biased, based on the fact that Simon loves HHH. Most of these weren't wrestlers that HHH 'couldn't' get over (some were) but many were wrestlers that he didn't want to get over. There's a difference (Unless by 'couldn't', he means 'couldn't because his ego was too big to allow him to put someone over, then fair enough).
Who could get Roman Reigns over. John Cena? Hear me out, this is a win win either way. Fans either cheer John Cena or they cheer Roman Reigns. They have to cheer someone. If both of them get boo'd, then push AJ Styles and Seth Rollins and release both Cena and Reigns. Also, anyone find it funny that Roman Reigns needs a vest to look bigger. Fucksake, that might as well be a push up bra for men. Roman Reigns for next Diva's champion, because the Women are better than Roman Reigns.
Seriously? "Push AJ Styles and Seth Rollins"? Casual fans know they're both at the top. "Release John Cena and Roman Reigns"? Do you honestly think WWE would get rid of one of their biggest draws and someone with real potential?
Isn't the vest illegal or something like that? There was some sort of petition to have Reigns drop the vest because there is a rule that forbids protective gear during wrestling matches. Maybe it's not as bad as I made it seem, but I feel like I read about it somewhere
I thought The Rock got Triple H over, not the other way around, because when their feud began Rock was a heel with the Nation and HHH was face with DX. That and Triple H won most of their matches, which logically wouldn't benefit Rock. With that being said, Rock definetely benefited from the great feud, just not as much as Triple H.
The Main Man because he was a shitty wrestler who moved at half the speed of André the Giant, who happens to move at half the speed of Big Show. Khali was trash. While he's developed now, it's too late for that.
Change the name of the video to "Wrestlers Triple H didnt want to push over because of his hoganish ego" Obviously vince edited this video himself and anything in whatculture lol If you wanna hear REAL shootz and explinations why shit didnt plan out look for Jim Cornette shoots!
Every time someone tries to claim HBK left his selfishness behind when he came back from his sabbitcal I point to the DX/Spirit Squad feud. I guarantee you if Shawn had said "I think we should let the Squad win one of these matches at least" Vince would have listened. Not to mention the segment that sent the Squad packing was a total burial "No Insurance. Nothing valuable in there"
Nobody is going to get Roman over but Roman. Seriously, do they even understand how wrestling works? Just because you put him against a bad guy doesn't mean that people are just going to cheer him because of that. Does the WWE know what the definition of insanity is? Trying the same thing over and over and over and over again expecting different results.
ya know theres one wrestler missing fro the list. the name is Triple H. some reason he never got Triple H over. plus just so you know if somoene is allready over before they fued then they shouldnt be on the list. scott steiner
